Its really big and old school. If youre looking for a private university, that has a godly orientation, this is the best place. It is affordable and the location in Aberline is excellent. Came for for sisters graduation and fell in love with the university. They have a wall of all the graduates I really loved that.

Greatly disturbed by the so-called leadership of this school, who caves to trending social pressure rather than stand up. Disciplining a student for making a point supported by facts? The school turned an opportunity for discussion into another example of how free speech is only allowed when it matches the current worldly view. Instead of deeming others observations as Christian or not based on what is currently socially acceptable, the school would do well to return to the Bible and take a look at the standards they claim they believe.

Totally untrustworthy under the current administration. It is an afront to decency and supports only their radical brand of (non) Christian principled education. Nothing inspires me to believe anything on their social media pages are anything but propaganda

I loved HSU when I attended there and graduated many years ago. I now enjoy visiting from time to time.

Four year liberal arts and science university with graduate degrees in several disciplines. Affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, Hardin-Simmons University also offers theological education, including doctoral programs, through its Logsdon Seminary.The library has a great collection of Texas archives. Nice residential facilities, several new structures. Known for its religious activities, the university undertakes several community service and missions projects every year.With the Cowboy theme, the sports program is well known. The white riding horses have represented the school in numerous national events.

I have been going to ,TX for 45 years and I have never been inside the Library.What a shame! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous.Detailed woodwork,marble and more. Checkout the history of the library before or after you go.Its quite impressive how much money Abilene,have donated to make this library the great institution that it is.
