Rudest staff possible! Starting with the girl in the front office, cannot recall her name, and second, I notice some of the teachers and other staff carry this same funky attitude! This is my sons first year of school, I pray he has a wonderful one and learns so much. Its way too early in the school year to make definite conclusion on if this is the best choice, but your staff is NOT off to a good start!

A student brought to my attention all the negative comments he saw on Google about our school and wondered why people would say these things. This prompted me to look at the comments. From what I can tell most of the comments are about previous staff that no longer work here. GHWB strives to promote leaders in and out the classroom. We have 6 distinctions awarded by the state of Texas and are constantly working to become the top school not just in our community but in the state. I invite you to come by, meet our principal and staff, and see the great work we are doing!!!!

The teachers are not necessarily the problem...The problem is more with Mrs. Dash, the schools principal...aside from two ladies, the office staff is horrible, too...Theyre all very rude, but Mrs. Dash takes the cake...Ive had several issues with that lady...So far, this year, shes been okay, but that doesnt negate the last three school years that Ive had to deal with her and this school...They claim they have 0 tolerance toward bullying, but if your child is being bullied, they just sweep it under the rug like its no big deal...Its funny because the only reason that the school is what it is has EVERYTHING to do with the TEACHERS, who most truly care about the students...Anyway, After this semester, my kids will no longer have to go to this ratchet school...yes, I said ratchet...

Disappointed and frustrated. Poor communication, respect, and courtesy provided by several of its staff members and students, has made the educational experience for my child and family, disturbingly unhealthy and discouraging. This has been our second school year here at George H.W Bush, and I must say I have lost all hope and patience of this place. Our sad experience first took place BEFORE the school year even started. Aware I have not had the privilege to get to know or meet everyone involved within this institution and knowingly knew some of its facilitators were new, some of the ones that I have met and those I BRIEFLY communicated with, has unfortunately set a very low standard and sour taste in my mouth. From the time of enrollment AND re-enrollment, my family and I felt that we were more of a bother and nuisance to some of the staff members working at the front desk AND teachers, (in person and over the phone). When asking a question I was quickly asked to look at their website for help and instructions. When the the questions was about their website, I was told that the person I was suppose to contact or communicate with was either, unavailable, in a meeting, or please leave a name and number so we can get back to you. In which in most cases, never happened. I have been hung up on the phone too many times to even remember, and when I do finally get the privilege to speak to someone with proper courtesy and experience, the information that was needed was invalid or unhelpful. Now comes our sad education experience. Of ALL the teachers my child had the privilege to work with this year and last, only 2 of the 9 were able to accommodate their classroom needs appropriately. I do not appriciate some of the teachers behaviors and abilities, especially when the teachers asks for assistance in volunteering and materials but were ungrateful, unsatisfied or somewhat rude when received. When asked questions about homework, expectaions on supplies, or even field trips, they seemed to be very bothered and annoyed. What bothers me most is, when the parent tries to follow the proper protocol displayed and informed by the teacher/schools document and website, I DO NOT appriciate singling out my child or ANY child and humiliating them by insinuating that they are, poorly educated by their family, that they come from an, uneducated family, and that they are, simply bad students with bad behavioral problems. I believe through our experience this year, that there are too many bullies taking control of what is suppose to be a place of learning. Not gossip, poor behavioral training, and the continuance of undermining the schools leader. Through both teachers and students. I have found the language being used by many of the students AND shockingly the teachers to be appalling. I despite teachers barking at children of all ages to, Shut up, and to purposely throw their weight around of authority with the attempt to scare or intimidate thier class. Children are a handleful. Many do not listen. We are ALL not perfect, but as an educator, wouldnt you think that patience is a virtue? Especially when it comes to an elementary school? All year long, I have been taking notes, and dealing with unfortunate circumstances on my own, in which now many has involved the school principle and school district. Through out this school year my child, their friends/classmates, AND parents, belive the teachers/substitutes behave more as half-ass babysitters than educators claiming that they do not get paid enough to do what they are suppose to do. Bringing personal inappropriate problems from home and sharing it the underage class; talking on their cell phones and having unrelated conversations in the middle of class; listening to inappropriate music in P.E, ; fighting with parents in front of students; are all unacceptable. Anxieties have been at a complete all time high. Even now towards the end of the school year, I fear that being given the opportunity to share this experience will again put a target against my children later.

My son has been attending this school for two and a half years. Ever since we have had problems with communication with the teachers and bad attitudes. There are a handful of teachers that are great but everyone else has serious issues and I dont believe they should be working around children. The principal never contacts you back when you have concerns unless you keep bugging her. Im taking my son to a different school for the following year.
