I give them a negative star... My son is in 7th grade and like many kids he gets depressed sometimes.. last yr he said stupid things Like ANY kid.. well this made the school label my child as a dangerous boy to others. Sad to say that I had NO support from ANYONE in the school.. They call social services that made up a stupid report against my child.. I feel that all this professionals are just looking for an easy paycheck, nice vacation and a sweet retirement.. This people are not like the REAL teacher back on the day... Am really disappointed with the school, the staff and their so call social workers.. My son and I are ready to go to HS... this people expect ALL kids to act like robots and say yes to all the crap they say... Guess what STAFF?? Teaching is a hard job, not an easy trip to nice vacation, good pay and sweet retirement..

The car line to drop of our children is a NIGHTMARE! 15 minutes EVERY DAY of terror... Cops everywhere hassling people, handing out tickets making up their own rules! This school started this car line nightmare because its too cheap to offer bus pickup for students. John the Superintendent is doing a terrible job. He gets paid 200K a year for this? Thanks for ruining mine and my kids day with your car line STRESS!! Also, thanks to the Addison police who make up their own rules on where and how to drop off our kids.The parents should organize and demand change!!

I enjoy this school so much, I have made memories, to enjoy you have to follow the rules, I don’t know how everyone is arguing about the school being bad, it’s probably you’re child misbehaving or something because I behave and I love working out and studying and my life with the teachers is amazing! They give me all the help I need!:)the thing I would say is that we should get our own chrome books :)

I worked here for many years and have been through a lot of administration. The students are excellent and were great to have. The administration is awful, and why I left. It is a revolving door, and they hire their friends (which is why they are all young). They are bullies toward the staff, which is why there is also a revolving door of teachers as well. We preach to the students about bullying, yet we cannot get ourselves out from underneath theirs. Im glad I am out of that situation, but Im sorry to leave the kids, parents, and other staff behind.

My son made a mistake (Mind him hes a teenager duh) but they dont give chances to help students succeed. Principal even put my son down telling him whats the point of him working out if he doesnt get his life straight knowing hes depressed. Where is your professionalism??? My son takes vitamins and loves to work out and said they were drugs! Hispanic people cant count on this school on helping our children out!! He doesnt care what students are going through he just doesnt want to deal with any problems and man up to his JOB responsibilities. Go ahead just wash your hands and send us off! I do have to say the detective is so much understanding and willing to work with the students! Detective needs to give the principle a few lessons in behavioral and human communications! Dont bring your kids here because they wont have any support from the principal!

When I had went to school there, I had 3 incidents that happened to me. Out of the 3 incidents, only 1 of them was resolved. One of the two was someone physically assaulting me, but the dean staff back then only cared for 15~mins then was frustrated that I couldnt pinpoint who assaulted me. They said they will get me out of class the next day to find out who did it, but never did anything else. From that point on I always hated telling people any issues or problems I faced. Speaking out in middle school was always hard for me after that time, but now that I am older everything is fine. I wouldnt want to taint the whole schools image because the teachers there were some of my most memorable ones that always gave me hope to learn even with the fact that I was in Resource Class (their way of saying special ed i think). So from many years ago I dont know how much the school has changed, but I hope it is for the better now.

This school is the worst because theres a no bulling tolerance and the teachers make fun of the kids and the kids make fun of the kids and the dean blames u on everything if ur a bad kid. They think that I assaulted a girl. I didnt even do anything to her. There are these kids that make fun of other kids and the dean cant do anything Bc they already know that the kid is a bad child they let him do whatever they want him to do this school can burn to hell

Now that Im in high school now after the 3 years of Indian Trail. The only thing I can say that 6th grade will be the worst year for students on a personal note. I see many incidents that happen everyday and the staff expects us to tell. We are still young and still experience things like peer pressure and anxiety and they think that we are all free from that and that we can all do the same things as everyone else. So stop yelling at a student the next time they dont know what to do because all your doing is telling them is that they are a terrible person and cant do anything right and dont belong here

This school is a joke, specially the admin( if you can call them that) they treat the middle schoolers like they are inmates. Im EXTREMLY disturbed by their stupid bylaws that NO other schools has!! To pick up my child from the nurse office I have to get approval from the nurse and a big deal if I decide to pick up my daughter for a doctors appointment by needing a doctors note.. Im sorry please let me know since when my daughter has been employed by you to have an excused day!! SOOO glad she only went ther for 8th grade. Advise to all the office people, take notes from district 54 specially for Margaret Mead Middle School.. IDIOTS!!!!

Im current 7th grader and this school is the worst, last year I was excited because I would get support from teachers, but its the staff inside the office are a joke, they make a small thing into something big, its kinda stupid how a little shove can turn into a big problem with about 7 people but when I got punched in the face in a hall and had my parent report it, nothing, and to rough on us...kids arent robots, you cant program then but you can teach them, and thats what some people in that school need to learn
