Positives-I love how they connect learning to the Lord. I love how my child would come home with memorized bible verses. I did love the small student to teacher ratio and they had a great lunch menu. I also loved after school care. I came across the reviews because Im searching for a school for my son and decided to write, since a parents experience closely resonated. I always avoided writing a review, but I believe it could be an opportunity for growth. What was shared about being the right fit is accurate. I wont share many details but I expressed the concern of inclusion to the counselor. I extended grace as there may be a lack of cultural understanding, but there is always an opportunity to learn and grow from our experiences.

If I could I could give -1, the staff in this place is so rude, overbearing and arrogant, and they call themselves “Christian? I had to visit this place and from the moment I got there I was treated poorly, I made a mistake with the ticket and from the first moment they treated me like a criminal, the caveman in charge is the worst human being I have dealt with in years, good he brought the police, it made me feel safer. You want your kids to be in a school with this kind of staff? Think twice

I was a student there, hopefully things have changed as my experiences there actually soured my opinion of religion, especially Christianity. Should probably put quotes on either end of Christian in the name. A bunch of really terrible kids in my class with equally terrible parents who could afford to donate enough to the school to keep their little angels as students. The facade is excellent on the surface, just beware of what lurks beneath the surface.

The school is fabulous. I went there first through 12th grade and I am now blessed to send my children there. The individual attention that is paid to each student is amazing, I cannot recommend this school highly enough!

The faculty and community around this school are the best in North Dallas. A great education with supportive Christian teachers and administrators make this place unique. TCAs graduated are Servant leaders who will be ready to take on the challenges that they will be presented with.

Drug tests students. This school used to be a #1 in the DFW area. (80s/90s) But recently has become extremely controlling. The amount of control the school and staff forces on the students is unrealistic and doesnt give an accurate representation of what the real world is going to be for these kids who are about to leave for college and jobs.

I have attended TCA since 8th grade. I have meet many great friends and grown greatly in my faith. My only concern would be the middle school. TCA is the BEST option for high school for the DFW area but not middle school. I dont believe that the curriculum matches the tuition for middle school, and it would be best for a student to attend elementary and middle school elsewhere.

I went to TCA for 12 years and graduated in 1986. I loved my time there and I have wonderful lifetime friends and memories. All three of my children either have or will also graduate from TCA. I have been a part of the TCA community for a very long time. I have watched it grow and develop over the years. I am so thankful that as TCA continues to improve and reach the next level as a school, it has never lost the founding purpose of “educating and developing the whole person to the glory of God”. My children have grown up in an environment of academic excellence where they have also been able to participate in multiple extracurricular activities (such as sports, fine arts, and leadership) all while Christ has been woven into each facet of their experience.I am truly THANKFUL for TCA!

They made the mistake of thinking I was going to put my high energy first grader on stimulants to keep her sedated during class. Perhaps I will but not in the first grade and not in an environment where shes not being taught anything. I spent 30K for prek and k and my daughter learned very very little. She didnt learn anything in reading, writing or arithmetic. After TCA told us our daughter didnt fit at Trinity I took her to a different school. After a week of academic testing at the new school they said shes preforming at at least a second grade level in everything and a third or higher grade in reading. They recommended skipping first grade and moving her straight into second grade. In less than a week the new school had done more academic testing than Trinity had done in two years... Still I was concerned about my daughters high energy issues and ask her new teacher if I could meet with her. When I met her new teacher I ask her how we will be communicating about behavior issues, making sure were on the same page and what we can do to help. Her teacher said there were no problems with my daughter, shes doing fine and has no issues that cant easily be handled. Her teacher said shes an expert and can spot problems and would of already let me know if she saw any. I couldnt believe it, I ask her again and again, waited several days and waited several weeks. I keep getting the same answer, my daughter has no behavior issues. As a TCA alumni Id say carefully consider if your child is right for TCA. TCA focuses on the 82% kid. If your child is too bright or not bright enough then TCA is not a good fit. Be prepared to be involved, on a daily basis, in your childs education. If you want someone who can take care of the business of educating your child without your daily intervention then TCA is not the right school for you. TCA about traumatized us sending all those silly teacher notes with boxes to initial and sign everyday that highlighted their own classroom and teacher management problems. There is a lack of honesty at least at the lower school level. While it didnt seem like it at the time our last day at TCA has been a blessing for our family.
