The staff there is impeccable but the principal is rarely there and he doesn’t really make time to get to know the students. When it comes to issuing out work permits this school is the slowest and the permit that they do give limits any worker from actually working! Most schools such as “Adelanto High School” or any other public school is on top of their work and they give permits that help the students who wish to become workers and they don’t babysit every little thing that they do. I believe if your trying to graduate early then come here and finish your schooling, but if you are trying to graduate, work, and actually get a feel for the real world. Do not come here! They babysit you too much just to push you out in the world earlier than everyone else. Other than the work permit. This school is great! Just not if your trying to work and help around the house/ buy yourself things that you totally need for the “real world”.

I highly reccomend this school to any student who may be struggling in a brick and mortar school.Had it not been for this school, I wouldnt have graduated high school. My cousin goes to a Moreno Valley site and told me Hey, this place is great and I think theres one by you. My mom went to a parent orientation and immediately pulled my siblings and I out of our old school and put us all in here. Theres homestudy for K-8, and homestudy as well as independent study for high school.The teachers are amazing and very helpful. My teacher was Ms. Wong and I cannot thank her enough for how much she helped and encouraged me. Same can be said for the counselor, Mrs. Shaw. Shes the one who convinced me to just try college for a semester, and now Im working on 3 majors. The principal, Mr. Larson, is an absolute joy to know. The first time I met him was when my phone was stolen off my desk when I stepped away, but he was amazing nonetheless. He found out who the student was and within 15 minutes, I had my phone back in my possession.

Love this school my 16 year has learned so much and we’ll be graduating early thanks to this school.

Options for Youth is drastically better but only has Junior High and High School.
