My daughter graduates this year. She goes to Midland valley. She has been in orchestra since 6th grade. On a whim they cancelled the orchestra program. So her last year of school she didnt get to play. There was never any focus on fine arts at Midland valley. Found out today that if the graduation is moved inside that only 2 people per student would be allowed inside the gym. When I called the school district I was told we all have to sacrifice! And was then hung up on. These people are absolutely ridiculous. I guess they assume their students are all single child households. At some point I wish the parents would run for school board and get rid of these marxists instead of bowing down to them.

The school food is awful like I eat it because I dont have an option. Please improve your food.

Better than Augusta and Columbia county schools by far.

I tried to give them a negative zero, but I couldnt . This is THE WORST public school district with a HORRIBLE principal at East Aiken. She thinks she can control grown people and has a very nasty attitude. The 2nd grade teacher is the same way. I thought they were twin sisters with the nasty and rude attitudes they have. Run away from this school district and ESPECIALLY East Aiken School of the Smarts!

They dont care about anything that happens to you until your ready to tear someone apart. Ive been getting picked on for awhile and when I got tired they were all like he never said anything but I reported it multiple times. They act like they have the best thing ever when we are under so much stress that the students are close to going insane themselves.

This school is very tedious and makes every single thing have to be the way the want. Why do people have to have a perfect outfit for them to be satisfied. The teachers seem like there only there for money and act like the students are supposed to always learn.

Oakwood Windsor Elementary & New Ellenton Middle are both wonderful schools, with great staff. & Superintendent King Lawrence is an asset to Aiken County School District. 👍

I just graduated this year from Silver Bluff High School and it seems like they can’t keep teachers or principles. I was enrolled in Agriculture since I was a freshman and my teacher left right before my senior year. They couldn’t find a teacher (so they say) to teach it. Now I find out today from the students there now that they are removing it completely. It’s completely ridiculous. We fought hard for that program for them to just take it away this year and in the middle of the year at that. Aiken County Public School District is a joke. Wish I could give 0 stars.

The public school system is horrible. They stress the teachers, make it so you defend yourself and get expelled, as well as leave people with nothing as you leave.

ACPSD is great! The teachers are outstanding and genuinely care about the students. The district seems focused on the future and has made positive changes in the schools!

Nothing but issues. Teachers don’t seem to care. School functions are so disorganized. Nothing seems enjoyable or exciting about school any longer. It’s as though they are suctioning any joy out of the students. Giving them nothing to be excited for to even want to go. Schools look horrible and outdated.

There is a great company called Staymobile near the Ross off Fabian Dr. who repairs laptop repair and phone repair. They are known to work magic and are affordable too.

Was just informed 2 days ago that my sons bus stop, which will be the only bus stop for the entire neighborhood, will now be exactly a mile and half away from my house.. My son walks to the bus stop, thats a 30 minute walk! This entire system is a joke!

Aiken county is one of the most incompetent unorganized school districts in the state of South Carolina. The public school transportation is very unorganized and unprofessional. Aiken county Transportation is uninformed in transportation issues. Lack of bus drivers in the Aiken county public school transportation, was an excuse for the insubordination of bus drivers. The availability of bus drivers should never affect the duty or job performance of a bus driver. National Statistics data recorded for this particular school district is correctly reported. The Aiken county school system deserves the earned ratings received Nationally. Aiken County Public Schools and their transportation system need redirection/overhaul in operations. An outside management team source is needed ,to train management and its employees. From Aiken county public school management to its employees ; are in need of extensive training in how to perform and manage like other organized operated school districts. I suggest any parent who relocated to the area ;to think of home schooling, or private school options if its affordable. Aiken county public school system is not a school system, you would want your child to attend. Performance , curriculum and academics are poor. It’s understandble why the state of South Carolina is Nationally ranking, last in graduation rates and college prep readiness.

Like many days this year there was no bus for school today but unlike other days ive just has major abdominal surgery and cant take them to school. When ive complained before i was told “there is a bus that comes thru everyday your child just has to wait.” Which was a lie bc theres not always a bus that comes and how long exactly should i wait? My children will have tardies and absences bc the transportation offices dont care about public school transportation.

I go to Schofield and love it

They should support their teachers and staff more so they are encouraged to stay.

I use to work for School Food Service and I must say the director and supervisors are not very supportive of their managers. You have people quitting left and right because of them. I had to have surgery and while I was out the lady covering me stole money and tons of food and nothing was done to her. 37 openings in School Food Service whats that tell you check into the Director. Best Director was Glenda Wafford!
