I signed my son up for this class to just give him something to do and this school has exceeded my expectations . The instructors work so well with my child . In a class of 20 kids they still find a way to make my 1 feel special. He is one of the youngest in the class and sometimes he needs extra help and they always notice and make him feel special.

I have my daughter enrolled here and she is new and I cannot stress enough how fantastic and impressed I am with the entire experience so far! The owner is a great guy and has really worked with us to make sure my daughter was able to partake in lessons. I am beyond pleased with the instructors! Their presence and demeanor working with the kids is beyond amazing! I’m 100% satisfied and completely happy with the choice of enrolling my child here! My daughter is always excited and eager to go to class to learn more and watching her progress and thrive in something so beneficial in so many ways is a great feeling too! The Academy of Self Defense is so welcoming to all people with all types of abilities. I have been with the Academy for several years now and they are so supportive! I have several chronic health problems and they are so accommodating. I do what I can when I can and dont worry about the rest. The positive attitude from the instructors is so contagious! I have learned so much about how to defend myself on the street and Im so much more confident now. I would recommend them to anyone!

I would highly recommend The Academy of Self Defense. I have two grade school age children who are currently enrolled and we have been having an outstanding experience. You are welcomed and treated like family from the moment you walk in the door and they provide a well rounded experience for students. Not only are my kids learning a great athletic skill, they are also learning street skills and life skills, which they have been able to immediately apply. Sensei Matt has an incredible command of his class and is able to keep the students motivated, inspired and focused while having a great time to boot. So grateful for this place!

Im blown away by how patient, organized, and masterful they work with our son and all of their students. Master C really runs a fantastic business. Our son is four (currently a white belt) and not easy to keep attentive. We feel with his experience here hes going to have an advantage in discipline and confidence over other children his age. Everyone, from the staff, adult students, kids, and parents, are really supportive of where each person is at in their learning. Its great fun to watch the kids get matched up and practice with each other. Theyre doing big things here!

I am very pleased with how the academy has built my daughters confidence since she has been with the school . Alana really enjoy being with such an excellent group of instructors who enjoy their jobs and teaching the children how to protect themselves against the real world. The academy is excellent in all they do especially attending to the families and making sure that every family gets what their children needs. I have a 4 year old that has some sensory disturbance issues. Sensei Lauren is super patient and takes the time to instruct each and every child without it being detrimental to the others. Where other programs have somewhat written my son off and don’t l give him the attention he needs to thrive, the Academy of Self Defense has truly made my son feel at home and has helped him grow as a little person. Also he made his first non-family friend here!

Top notch instructors and state of the art building with plenty of room to move around. Pricing is cheaper than other places around the area. They teach real world scenarios instead of just plain martial arts. Great class schedule to fit anyones busy lifestyle.

My 2 sons both attend ages 8 and 11.both have learned a lot in only a month more respectful, helpful, and less arguing. As well as marital arts knowledge. Great group of people.

This Academy is one of the best in the area. Master Frank is a professional and friendly person. All academic members are working as a family. My son learn a lot of defense techniques and focus on behavior too. Thanks to everyone in the academy and I do recommend everyone to join the academy.

This is a wonderful, wonderful place for kids and adults alike. My 8 year-old loves going to class, and the learning environment they provide here is great.

All of the staff is amazing with the kids. They are able to teach them great techniques as well as make it fun and keep them engaged. My daughter is very HIGH energy and Sensi Kane is amazing at helping her learn discipline on when it is time to be still and quiet and when its time to do things.We just had our daughters birthday party at the academy. Everyone had an amazing time (parents included). I want to give a special thanks to Sensei Matt, Bishal, and Shelby for making it an amazing day for everyone.

My kids have attended the school for close to 2 years now and master Frank Charlillo is one of he best Instructors I have seen in the martial arts he has a good team of black belts to help with instruction. And he really cares about everyone who is there. I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a dojo that teaches from the heart.

This place is awesome. The mma system is great and hits on all the effective techniques of many different styles. Muy tai - karate - ju- jitsu- savate - Brazilian jui- jitsu. . . One thing is sure - you wont get bored. And The instructors are absolutely top notch ... I couldnt imagine me and my 8 yr old not going here..

I found the academy of self defense during a very difficult point in our sons life. He was diagnosed with autism at a late age and was struggling with self esteem and being bullied. I spoke with many instructors trying to find a good fit for our son. After speaking with Master C, I knew immediately his program was where I wanted our son. He has been at the academy for almost 3 years now and I have watched him grow, learn, become more confident and mature so much! Master C has a fabulous teaching staff that my son uses as role models ( Sensei Jay, Sensei Matt, Mr. Greene). Even a lot of the Yong adults (Ethan, Hayden, and Joe) just to name a few have had such a wonderful and lasting influence on our son! After watching our son respond so positively to the program, we were blessed to have our daughter also attend from a different perspective and reason. Our daughter attends more for our piece of mind if she ever finds herself in sa bad situation. Our shy daughter has turned into a very confident young lady. We have been blessed to be a part of the academy of self defense family these past three years. As Master Cs programs have grown, we have been blessed to grow with him. You wont find a more caring, compassionate, and dedicated group of individuals than at the academy! While it can sometimes be a struggle financially, every penny spent is more than worth it, to see your children grow and become more confident from learning the principles of self defense under such a wonderful group of individuals. Our family has truly been blessed from our involvement with all the fasmilys and instructors at The Academy of Self Defense!
