As a parent and supporter for over 12 years I had the experience and delight to put my children through this wonderful place called The Albany Free School. Over the past twelve years with unyielding support and dedication from the amazing staff my oldest child was able to complete 7 years at The Albany Free School, graduating with high honors from Albany High School and then moving on to being accepted into Manhattan College receiving scholarships and awards along the way for academics.I still have two sons attending the Free School and they are getting every bit out of life a child could possibly get.I believe in the philosophy of the school and support its amazing passion for Free learning.A

This school has an amazing philosophy! allowing each child to learn at their own pace and through fun and interactive experiences. My son loves it here and i can see how much he is progressing. over the past month he went from knowing a few scattered numbers and letters to knowing the entire alphabet and can count to 20 no prob and has even started writing a little. They really embrace creativity and curious minds. It is a wonderful experience they also take the time out to help the students work through their emotions and give them real feed back and productive outlets for working through negative emotions and feelings.
