We had very good experience here in Albany. Teachers are great, friendly and know what they are doing. front desk is amazing, respectful, helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

My three-year-old is comfortable with the water for the first time. The instructors are great with him, and everyone has so much patience!

Its such a fun, friendly environment for kids and adults alike. Everything is very well branded (bubbles obsessed kiddo here!) and the pool is always very warm and welcoming along with the wonderful staff and instructors!

We really enjoy coming here. The staff is always amazing and friendly. The water is warm perfect for kids. We came here with our 9 month old and he enjoyed it. Especially the play time after lessons. Covid precautions are being taken and we appreciate the efforts.

The experience has been great so far with my kids. The instructors are very professional and passionate with the way they tutor the kids and I have started seeing some comfort level with my kids in their journey on how to swim!

Each week we enjoy coming to swim lessons and participating with our 1 year old son. The swim instructor provides great instruction while interacting with all of the children.

Today, 8/26/21, I had to cancel my membership during family swim. My children are constantly picked on by the lifeguards, this is the third time and I have had enough. There are other concerns, when they are closed they dont send emails to announce closures in a timely manner. Two weeks ago, I was given erroneous information about Family Swim availability and make up classes for my daughter.

We have been bringing our children here for over 6 months. Both are making great progress. The instructors have all been great. Gina does a phenomenal job with our son who can be more than a handful. Riley has gone above and beyond many times for us and I’ve seen her handle many other parent requests with patience and respect. Recently, there was an unfortunate scene with a father yelling loudy at his young son and it was very disturbing to watch and listen too (not that one could avoid either, it was very public and very inappropriate). Riley approached the man and handled the situation with poise, respect, and kindness. It was a wonder and relief to watch. I have the highest opinion of the entire staff at this swim school. Top notch!

Not goodSwitching teachers almost every week, not consistent, too many kids in the class, I will see my boy getting bored, and I brought that to managers attention. too many red flags. ultimately i took my boy from the classes but he had x 2 class left to makeup because of their lies about broken heat and pump.. I kept calling to schedule class and clerk told me that I have 1 year to do it, when I call back in like a week, they already told me that was not the case and we ran out of time, so wont take my kid for 2 classes.

I’m so impressed with how the instructors utilize every minute of class, and we can already see our kids repeating the skills they’re learning. Water safety is so important to us, and we feel like Goldfish Swim School takes it equally as seriously, while still making it loads of fun!

I really appreciate the very small class sizes that let the instructors focus on teaching limited, specific skills per class. My kids have gained a lot of new skills very quickly. The cost is a little high but its a good option during COVID when other options are so limited..

Our favorite thing about goldfish is the associates who work there. Riley is my sons teacher. We love Riley! We love the fun learning atmosphere. I have referred several people because this is such a great place to learn to love swimming. We also really enjoy that everything is so functional while also being pleasing to the eye. The dressing rooms are cute. The whole facility is always immaculate. I enjoy that they have the little store so I can purchase goggles and swim caps. My son and I also love the swimsuit spinner. He loves making it work and I love that I dont have to take a sopping wet suit home. I think this is a great venue with a great staff that does an excellent job!

This place is great!I am amazed with the progress my daughter has made in just 3 classes. The facility is beautiful and the staff is incredibly friendly. I am recommending Goldfish to everyone that I know.

My 10 month old son loves his swim lessons at Goldfish! All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The inside of the building is nothing short of boring- there are murals of sea animals, a tiki themed lobby, and a fish tank that all of the kids admire. Although we are currently in a pandemic I do not have to worry when I walk into Goldfish. They ensure everyone wears a mask and stays socially distant. They also sanitize the changing rooms between every use which I really appreciate because no matter how cute your kid is- they’re all germ monsters. The instructors wear face shields and all items are sanitized between lessons. The classes are very organized, fun, and interactive. It’s reassuring as a parent to know my child is learning necessary water safety skills. We have only been attending for a couple months but the progress my 10 month old has already made is incredible! My husband and I highly recommend Goldfish Swim School!

My son has become a fish in the water since attending Goldfish. My son is 10 months old and he started when he was 7 months. He loves being there and always has a smile on his face. Our instructor Jo is amazing. We have went to other classes for a make up day and Jo is by far the best. She has a great personality and you can tell she really enjoys her job and being around the babies. She is hands on too. If I am doing something the wrong way she comes over and helps us. I can’t say enough about her!

Im grateful for and impressed by how well the swim school has been run during the pandemic, which no doubt has been a very difficult time to run a swim school. Thank you to Erin, Josh, and the staff here in Colonie for keeping the swim school open and doing their best to get kids and families in the water! We always enjoy our time there.

My daughter hated the water before she started here. Classes are 30 minutes long...wish they were 45 instead

My daughter started Junior 1 classes in July. It’s now October, and I feel like she’s just been doing the same exact thing over and over for the past 2 months. Was hoping she would be moved up to junior 2 by the time her classes ended this month, but I don’t know, we’ll see. Another thing is the change in instructors. She’s had 4 since she started. I understand it’s because of school/work changes, but it’s hard to have a bond with a child/children if the instructors are changing so often. It’s also hard to pick up where they left off, which probably explains why my daughter’s been doing the same thing for months. Other than that, the staff is amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and always great you at the door.

We tried a different place for swimming lessons and my son was not happy. He has loved Goldfish and asks every day when he is going swimming. My son has autism and Goldfish has made the transitioning easy for him. He is actually understanding and getting it. And the instructors are amazing and so great with the kids. My boy really adores Instructor Riley as well.

Goldfish swim school has been wonderful at every turn. They have successfully navigated COVID-19 and allowed my daughter some sense of normalcy. Thank you for all you do!

Eyes are always on the students in the pool area. The lifeguards in and out of the pool make sure the kids are safe and are following safety rules... You couldnt find a better staff... friendly, courteous, and knowledgable.

Friendly staff. Clean. We feel safe both in regards to covid and in water safety aspects. Both my boys love it here.

They were great with my son. He was so scared and now he is starting to do more activities during each class. They are really great with children.

I have already referred multiple people and we have had one friend even sign up after doing a trial! We have so much fun! The class lengths are perfect it’s enough time for fun but we end before anyone ever gets upset. We love that our little one is learning swim safety (and thriving at lessons too!) through play. Our ten month old pulls herself out of the pool unassisted and is beginning to float on her back on her own. The instructors are great too! Not only do we look forward to our weekly lessons now, we look forward to our future and growth in this extremely friendly and exciting environment!

Love GoldFish Swim School! My son started at just 6 months old, and every time we go to a lesson, he learns something new and has sooooo much fun!

First time taking my children to goldfish. They wasn’t very friendly i did not know where to go or what to do. No communication with new families Or no tour. Did not like that there were one teacher to 3 students taking away from the other children swim lessons also finished 5mins early. Will try it again but if I still feel unwelcome I’ll go somewhere else

Office is closed for a once a week swim class. Nobody notified us. Not even a note outside the door. There are customers waiting outside as well, very disappointed.

The swim teachers here are super kid friendly. My daughter looks forward to her swim lesson every week. They are very covid- conscious and take several precautions.

Staff are excellent, and both the space and curriculum are well thought out.

Theyve got this down. Short classes for short attention spans. Some challenge for the kids but not too much. Staff is friendly and responsive.

We love the staff at the Goldfish Swim School! They got our nervous girl in the pool the first week and she now looks forward to swim class each week!

Friendly staff fun for kids love the pool great during the winter since it’s heated so it gives u a great beach feeling no matter the weather outside but most importantly they actually learn how to swim! Family swim is good also to unwind with the family as well! Thank u goldfish!
