SiSu Dance Academy is one of the best choices I’ve made for my daughter. There’s a seriousness & professionalism about the academy but at the same time it’s a very friendly & safe environment. Their heart is into what they are about. Ms. Megan is very welcoming, encouraging and extremely knowledgeable about technique and strength training & in meeting the dancers where they are at making it a safe environment for students to learn and grow. I say this because I’ve been concerned about my daughter’s bone structure and lack of flexibility and they meet her where’s she’s at and I’m proud to see how she’s learning and growing. The studios are beautiful and very clean. Her teachers Amy & Jessica are wonderful. Their love & attention to my child and others is comforting. My daughter started in the Little Movers class with Ms. Amy and she has an awareness & eye for detail with each child in her class, which I love. My daughter loves & looks forward to seeing them and the lovely little friends she’s made. Just precious. It’s how she started to learn the days of the week with the purpose of her finding out if it’s dance class day or not. She never wants to be late or miss class even if the car broke down & once fixed there’s only 15 minutes left of class, she wants to go even if for the last 15 minutes. Never fails to express how much fun she has in class, how excited she is to go and how happy this makes her. We feel blessed and grateful to SiSu Dance Academy for making us feel like part of their family. So obviously, I highly recommend them.

My daughter and I have been attending SiSu for a year now and we are so happy to be part of the SiSu family. All of the teachers at the studio are extremely knowledgeably and professional. The Leap n Learn program is amazing and my daughter looks forward to going to class each week. I take the Adult Ballet class and I love that it is challenging enough for me without being too overwhelming. My daughter has been dancing here for a year now. This has truly become her second family. She faces many health challenges in life and this has been a true gift. She is encouraged to be healthy, strong, and brave but understood when she has rough days. Every person from the owner to the newest teachers are simply amazing. Because of them my daughter wears I am a ballerina as her banner to get through life with pride and joy. She dances with her heart, soul, and body. What a gift.

Megan and her staff are simply amazing. My daughter began training at Sisu with absolutely no prior training. The level of patience, care, and structure given by Megan has been more than I could have expected. My daughter is quite the wiggly, energetic four-year old, and Megan’s structured, loving instruction has already made a tremendous impact on her. Also, Megan provides consistent, honest feedback on ways to facilitate growth for my child.

Oh wow, thank you for the reply!! I actually heard about you and saw you at the Mayors Sunday Funday in Rio Rancho. I asked around the dance community about a few studios for my 12 yr old daughter and 7 yr old son. I understand what you are saying but same name for multiple reviews is a bit fishy.Im assuming the Brittany Robertson you are referring to, is the one who made a negative review about you? If that is the case, I do not know her. As stated previously it was the fun day. However, seeing how you reacted I will also assume the comments made by her and the other Robertson are 100% honest and understand her dissatisfaction with your studio. To call someone out like that without knowledge, is very rude and unprofessional. I will take my kids elsewhere and avoid any drama.Thank youI decided to look into this studio due to hearing about it, i noticed all reviews seem to be the same people just different accounts? How legitimate can all these 5 stars be if they are the same people. Asked around town more and not hearing much positive.

Sisu is the best. They take care to meet each of my children’s needs. Teachers are caring and professional. Training is superior and our kids couldn’t be happier. All 6 of my kids and I have trained or danced with Sisu at some point and we all love it very much.

This Academy is the most amazing dance place you can find in NM. The Director/Owner is a beautiful christian woman and the nicest person I have met. The academy is organized and a clean environment and a safe place and all the dancers getting treated the same. Plz if you are wanting to Enroll your children plz pick Sisu Dance Academy!!!!

My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves her ballet classes! Ms. Megan is professional and quick with communication. My daughter has learned so much and I have come to appreciate the quality of classes offered. The academy and instructors really take pride in what they do and it definelty reflects in the quality of classes offered. We are happy to be a part of the Sisu family and plan on continuing for years to come!

My daughters have been attending this studio for a little over a year or two. We do love the Jazz (Miss Jessica) and tap teacher (Miss Gabby) which are two out of the four teachers. In the beginning as new students the training/instruction WAS good for ballet, as my children became seasoned the training started to lack. The teachers are always coming and going, went through 5 tap teachers and everytime had to start from square one.. This studio is very unprofessional and unorganized. My daughters has been bullied several times. When brought to the attention of owner/director, she said she would handle it and it only got worse! Felt unwelcome. Lack of communication from owner/director. Constant inconsistencies in rules, requirements, and expectations. Director talks negative about parents infront of class, In front of all students as well. She only communicates with the children but not the parents, no email about changes and blames the parents for lack of communication. Paid for a special PUBLIC class and the owner refused to allow me to get a photo with instructors. We were given the reason that because we didnt agree to have our children in advertising for studio (because we disenrolled and she restricted the public view of studio information to my family) she would not allow my children a photo with the JOFFERY instructors only (that we paid for and she allowed ANYONE in the city to attend). I would strongly suggest to anyone that is thinking of enrolling in this studio to think twice, think three times.... if you choose to enroll beware. This is just the tip of the iceburg!!

We love SiSu!! My girls have been dancing here for over a year now; and their knowledge of dance has grown not just through movement, but also in knowledge of dance theory. The technique in teaching methods at SiSu are second to none. The children respect Ms Megan, are respected and expected to hold themselves to a higher standard. They are taught not only a new language of dance, but also of self confidence, a strong work ethic, focus and determination!!We have felt welcomed into the family from day one. If your dancer is just starting out, or working toward the next step of their ballet dreams; SiSu is the studio for you!

This is not a studio in the traditional sense, this is an elite training academy. The faculty have a tremendous wealth of knowledge and we could not be more impressed by the level of training that our daughter receives.Ms. Megan is an industry leader who has a safe growth mindset and works with each and every student to help them achieve their highest potential. She has identified and corrected issues with my daughter and her technique that were not addressed previously and she has taught her how to mindfully and safely correct them. She goes beyond telling students what steps to take, and educates them as to why they perform skills in a certain manner and how to do be cognizant with their movement.It feels like a family here, and I would never want my daughter to train under a different group of teachers. We love our SiSu family!

I cant say enough about SiSu Dance Academy. Megan makes every student and parent feel welcome. The tiny movers class is the perfect introductory class for tiny dancers. Miss Amy and Miss Megan structure the class so that none of the dancers get bored. My 2 year old daughter looks forward to her dance class every week!

Megan is the best! Her knowledge of cross-conditioning and proper, safe ballet training is the perfect foundation for a dance education. And the love and attention she shows each student brings out the best in them. Our daughter loves every class she takes there, enjoys all the teachers and cant get enough!

I absolutely have loved dancing here and would recommend it to anyone who wants to see substantial growth. The approach is one based in logic, adjusting to each dancers unique needs to build a safe and beautiful basis of strong technique. The instructors give a balance of tough love, and are always pushing dancers in the right direction.

We LOVE SiSu for SO many reasons....the teachers, the training, the support, the opportunity to perform and the overall quality of the experience. We have 3 kiddos here with varying degrees of experience/ability and SiSu has been able to meet them right where they are and help them grow in their technique, confidence and overall love of dance. My 4 year old daughter started dancing at Sisu in fall 2019. I was impressed by the frank and open communication about which class would be best for our family--I didnt want just another mommy and me semi-structured playtime. I wanted my child to make friends and learn to do something independently from me. At SiSu, children learn actual ballet--and there is JUST the right balance of structure and appreciation for the art as there is play and a sense of fun. My daughter comes skipping out of every class with a huge smile on her face, eager to tell me everything she learned. She knows all the French terminology and explains to me the meaning of the words and demonstrates perfect little sautes, arabesques, and tendus. She also learns about physical fitness and flexibility--her pigeon toes have drastically improved, as has her balance, coordination, and gross motor skills. She has friends in several levels of class and even at only 4 years old, shes happy to spend an entire day (6 hours!) watching rehearsals and hanging out with the other dancers. It is such a welcoming, family-oriented business. I am proud to endorse SiSu to anyone who wants to learn how to dance!

Sisu is wonderful and a blessing! We have been to two other studios over the last 6 years. My daughter has learned so much and is developing skills that will last her lifetime. She is so happy going to Sisu, she never wants to miss a class. The classes are small and the parent community is great!! We will never go anywhere else.

I love being trained at Sisu! The people are kind and caring, if you are looking for a studio Mrs.Megan is very passionate, and loving towards her dancers. Overall the environment is a Christian community that everyone is involved in.

One year ago we moved to Albuquerque from a small town with a very tight dance studio. My kids had been dancing there for 10 years; their teachers and friends were like family. We have found that and more at SISU! Ms. Megan and the other teachers have so much enthusiasm and expertise in the art. I am constantly impressed and pleased with the training my daughters are receiving. In less than a year, I have seen our girls grow in strength, artistry and discipline! The teachers care and know for each student individually and help them grow in mind, body and spirit through dance. Changing dance families can be so very difficult but Sisu has made this transition a breeze. My girls are making friends, having fun and becoming better dancers! I have four girls, ages 5-13 participate in varying degrees at Sisu. Ms. Megan shows incredible love and care for each one of them. Sisu has been a great studio us.

This studio is honestly the best studio in the area. The owner, Megan, is very approachable, she is honest and is warm and friendly to the students and families. She encourages dancers to learn and grow through various forms of dance and cross training and encourages her staff to undergo continuing education frequently so that they are at the top of their game. She pours everything that she has into these dancers and truly wants each of them to succeed.The LeapNLearn program is hands down the most fundamentally sound childrens program that is available. It is not your typical program where students frolic around without any further thought as to how this will help them fundamentally, this is a program that is built on the basics of early childhood development. The movements taught are built on developmental psychology and developmental principles to help children grow in all areas, not just dance. Students learn the basics of classroom etiquette, progressions and scaffolding material and they work on cross body movements to help grow the connections in their brains and develop strong neuronal pathways to enhance their gross and fine motor movements, all of which will set them up for success later on in their dancing careers as well as outside of the studio.Many of the things that are discussed through the LeapNLearn curriculum are not taught in the general teacher education but at the masters level.I cannot recommend this place enough. After dancing myself for almost 30 years, there is no other studio that I would take my children to.
