I was previously there at Lane Elementary school. Everything there is great! I just didnt get the best experience from physical education (PE). I didnt learn too much because of the students that were talking way too much. But everything else was beautiful. I am a student that was there since kindergarten, and I truly had a great experience. :)

After working in the public school system and having a child enrolled here, I can confirm I have never experienced a more unorganized administration or a snarkier staff (front office and teachers). I am so happy my child is not going to Lane next year. I know it starts from the top down. I overheard the vice principal (I believe she just transferred to another school) bad mouth parents, as well as a member of the front office staff and two teachers. On the first day of school (2 years ago), I overheard a teacher say she hated when all the parents were in the building and in the way - I can confirm it has not improved in years. I was in the front office today when a staff member was making rude comments about the parents picking kids up early from school. They dont even have enough sense to be discreet. I spoke to a parent who said she picks her son up from the special ed program at Lane every day and the staff still pretends they dont know her a year later. I am not surprised. Choose another school if you have the option. Children deserve to be educated in a positive environment!

Great so far. The secretary was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Ill update this review after AWIIs 1st year.

What a blessing! Lane Elementary School is a great school and Ms. Gnazzo is a phenomenal special education teacher. Im raising a child diagnosed with autism and ADHD. The last school he was enrolled in was like a glorified day care. He didn’t learn anything; he wasn’t being taught anything. And he had multiple behavioral problems. He didn’t meet any of his previous IEP goals and they told us he’d never learn his alphabet or read. Being with Ms. Gnazzo has been a success for him. He has no behavioral difficulties in school and he’s learning. She knows how to manage her classroom, how to keep kids motivated, how to teach them, and … makes it fun! He loves going to school! Ms. Gnazzo has challenged him and taught him his alphabet, not only so that he recognizes it, but he is writing his letters. He cannot read just yet, but I feel there is light at the end of the tunnel.
