One of the local tech schools, with Arlingtons Career Center being a Governors school as another. Both with good reputations, from what I can tell, as an old person. Some robotics teams, and the Arlington Career Center has a pilots license option with a Link? simulator seen while doing One Laptop Per Child Learning Club stuff back in the day, and Scratch Days.

Good school. Difficult to get in as you need to have all As. But, not very easy on your kids. A friend of mine got in two years ago and he wanted to drop out the same year he got in as it was a great amount of stress and work for him. It is one of the best schools but he dropped out from it as it made it difficult for him to relax and be calm. Hes always anxious and almost never able to stop doing his work from school as it is too much for a mere high schooler.

Just graduated from here. Incredible faculty, incredible equipment, and of course incredible people. I came here to get access to the many research labs on campus and literally the best education America has to offer. In my four years here, Ive worked on rocket design for NASA, participated in various robotics competitions and designed EEG enable autonomous UAVs - trust me, theres plenty to do. However, the academic workload will, as expected, eat up your free time - dont expect to go out anytime but the weekends, if then. But, if you make it through to graduation, youll be so well-prepared for college you should never have any time management problems at least.

I go to TJ and I must say it is the best school Ive gone to. The environment is great and relaxed and the teachers are qualified yet fun. Eighth period gives the students something to look forward to during the day and is a great way to catch up on homework, work in a group, or just relieve stress and relax.

I loved the construction, labs, and everything! I love how this school really prepares you for college, we even get to use college-level databases which is amazing and purely unique! Even though Im a freshmen and today was my first day, I feel like Ill have a blast! Sure, there may be a lot of challenges and stress along the way, and I probably will feel tempted to quit, but that is the point of TJ. And who cares about all As? We all would get Bs and Cs anyway no matter how good we were in middle school. We will all regain that status of getting all As eventually, just need to get really adjusted to time constraints and work management. You just got to learn how to overcome challenges and stress. Sports here can help with that, and you also would learn time management.

Very fun if you are a math/science/computer geek. _Most_ of the teachers are awesome. The beat part (IMO) is the Computer Systems Lab (syslab), which is run almost entirely by students. The worst part is the workload.
