I am writing now as my youngest son is preparing to graduate and we will no longer have any kids attending this fantastic school. I wanted to leave and provide my opinion about this facility for parents who are researching preschools for their kids in the future. I feel its the least I can do for this school that has so wonderfully cared for and helped prepare my 2 kids for elementary school for the last 6 years. My first child attended from 2013-2015. My youngest from 2016-2019.I had to laugh when I saw another reviewer mention the Directors frank approach when dealing with parents and how the school operates. It is true! But her honesty, fairness, expectations and ability to address any situation is what I appreciate most about her. This school is well run because of her. What I appreciate most about this school is their ability to adjust to any childs personality and let them be themselves while still teaching them early life and educational lessons in a way that works for that specific child. Its the Montessori way at its very best. The school is clean, the food is prepared each day and is healthy. They are mindful with their various activities and make the childs first school experience a fun one but quietly still teaching them so many different things. They have set the best educational foundation for my children who enjoy learning and for that I am forever grateful.

My two kids have been attending Angels Montessori Preschool since 2014. One has already graduated. My second son is an active and rambunctious little guy who loves all things. This school provides not only the structure needed but the quality of the academics at Angels helps them be successful in elementary school and the opportunities for the kids to run, jump, and have fun!The teachers at this school are amazing and genuinely care for the students which is what kept me here for so long. Every teachers conveys a true love of learning and love of children. There are three classrooms that really create a great learning and play environment. The teachers have allowed my kids to explore and grow into who they are meant to be. Highly recommend this school.

Both of my kids went to Angels for 2 years before starting public school. My son is now 10 years old and my daughter just turned 6 years old. My experience with the staff and teachers at the site were great both times and I have to say the second time around was even better than the first. With my son, when he started he was only partially potty trained, and within a week, the teacher was able to fully potty trained him. It was great! With my daughter, she started preschool without knowing anything. Her assignments when she started were all circles and lines. At the end of her preschool year, she was able to read and write. Both of my kids were placed in advance classes when they transition to public school. Academic is the less of my worries with my kids and I have to say its because they had great teachers to lay down the foundation for them. My daughter shared with me that she wants to be a teacher when she grows up, because she wants to be just like Ms. Vanessa.Thank you Mrs. Melina and your team at the school for such an awesome experience!

My daughter was at Angels Montessori in Alhambra, CA for three years, starting when she was two years old. She loved the school. She loved the teachers. They are very nurturing. She is an energetic, independent-minded young girl, but they were able to channel her energy very productively. The academic program is excellent. She was very well prepared when moved on to kindergarten. Angels has a very diverse and inclusive student body and my daughter benefited greatly from the opportunity for socialization. I would strongly recommend Angels to anyone.

My son (6 yrs old now) attended Angel’s Montessori when he was three and has since been testing above his current grade level at the public school setting. My son’s current teacher who holds a Ph.D in education is completely amazed with his academic capabilities and are in agreement that he had a good foundation. My daughter is currently attending Angel’s and we couldn’t be happier with her development. She was potty trained by her teachers, she is learning Spanish and she really knows more than what we would’ve imagined. All of the teachers are amazing. They are very engaging with their students and with the parents to reaffirm things at home. Starting from the two year old class where socialization begins, to the three year old class where classroom etiquette begins, to the four/five year old class where the students are more independent which prepares them for first grade. And it’s nice to see that the materials and equipment are new. You definitely have to take a tour for the best experience!

This was a tough decision as we relocated to Los Angeles. I visited four local montessori preschools and selected Angels. My son entered school at Angels when he was closed to 3 years of age. The staff is professional and attentive. They really care about the students and demonstrate this daily. They offer many enrichment activities such as Dance, Science and Soccer. They involve parents and students by having many different events and celebrations. The facility is clean, safe and secure. They exposed my son to many different learning opportunities. I am grateful for the staff at Angels Montesorri.

I really appreciate the great work in shaping the lives of both of my children. My son and my daughter attended Angels Montessori for two years before starting kindergarten. Im confident they left the school with a solid foundation and the passion necessary to continue learning and growing for the rest of their lives.Thank you Melina, and all staff!

Angels Montessori is an excellent and surprisingly affordable pre-school. Our daughter, who is now 6, attended from age 2-5, and our son is currently in the 3-year-old class. They have both attended full-time since they started at age 2. When we were looking at pre-schools we toured probably around 5 or 6 in the area, at wide-ranging price points, and found that Angel’s was our top choice, regardless of cost (Angels happens to be lower than many others). While the outside decor is not optimal, we really liked several aspects of this school. First, we like Melina, the Director. She is highly professional and extremely knowledgeable about childhood development. She is very direct, which some may find uncomfortable, but it was exactly this aspect that we like about her. She runs her school efficiently and effectively. We have gone to her several times over the years to ask for advice (i.e. sleep concerns, potty training, temper tantrums, etc.) and her advice has been very helpful every time. She has created an environment that is nurturing to the students while also being able to maintain and develop a curriculum that teaches the key skills for this age, i.e. patience, kindness and sharing, listening, organized time, etc. The teachers are also excellent. There are a few core teachers who have been there a long time (Ms. Patti, Ms. Terry, and Ms. Mari) in the 2, 3, and 4-5 year-old classes, respectively) and they are consummate professionals. They all clearly love their jobs and really excel at teaching. Both of my children had difficult starts in the 2-year-old class and Ms. Patti was a saving grace to ease their transitions. She was very comforting and very patient with them through those initial tough months. They are all warm and caring, and every year my son insists on inviting all his teachers to his birthday parties. The academic pace is appropriate, and the teachers are good at working with kids at different stages of learning. My daughter was doing double-digit addition and subtraction by the time she left and could read. She is now in kindergarten at a private school and is more than comfortable with the work load there. The kids definitely leave more than prepared for Kindergarten, and in most cases have far surpassed what they will teach in Kinder. Also, it has been a godsend that the food they serve is healthy and my kids love it. We gladly pay the extra fee for the hot lunch option. Food is cooked onsite and snacks are also healthy. Finally, there are a few extra classes that are offered at the school for an additional fee (soccer, science, dance). My kids have both done the classes and really enjoy them. We have been very happy with our experience at Angels and our kids are thriving. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
