This learning center/daycare has bent over backwards for us and our son who has behavioral problems and a learning delay. They have gone above and beyond to get him the extra help and services he needs. I can 100% without a doubt say they are the best out there for childcare and early education. If youre looking for a school to put your child in this is the place!

We loved ALC so much, from the moment we walked in the door to check them out. They’re so clean and friendly. ALC changed our lives forever and they’ll never know how truly grateful we are. They provided a free vision screening, of which my pre-K child failed miserably. Up until this point she “passed” all screenings at her PCP. This was so life altering for us. We were finally able to put all of the pieces together and our girl still requires glasses. We’ve since moved to NC but I still refer friends and family back home to Active Learning Centers. What an awesome and patient group of people that work there. Thank you all for everything.

Clean, organized, good variety of teachers, flexible drop off and pickup times, class dojo, little ninjas, soccer shots, never closes - easy to email and pay different ways. Great location too. Best value in the Valley imho.

My eight-year-old daughter has been going to the Active Learning Center for nearly six months now. Since her first day, she has enjoyed her experience there. The staff are extremely helpful and very accommodating. They treat you like family, inviting everyone to get together for parties and other events. I am truly glad that we decided to have Amelia attend there. I can go to work knowing that she is well taken care of each day.

My son goes here and he has grown so much in the short amount of time he has been attending here. It seems every week he learning new words or actions from being here. All of the teachers there in toddler one have been great!! The room he is in he is learning so much, his teachers are wonderful. They make sure each child is cared for to the best of their ability, every time Ive been in the class room to pick up my son they have always been very friendly. They keep me well informed on how my child is doing in the class room as well as play time. I would definitely recommend ALC to my family and friends.

If you are reading this, you are most likely searching for childcare. My wife and I did the same thing. So how do you determine who to trust? You need to go with your gut, and must visit the facilities and speak with those in charge. But here is my bottom line. Once you walk out of the building, those people are now in charge of your childs life. Period.Perfection is impossible. But in my eyes, my experience, and my 20 month old sons reaction every day we pick him up, Active Learning Centers is as close as one can get. They are like family. They always have time to speak with me or my wife. Funny thing is, I think our son eats better for them than us! I would often say, he ate what snack??? We can never get him to eat. He is so fussy! Infants and toddlers cannot be forced to eat or drink. Hey Im an old man and you still cant get me to eat tomatoes! The things our son is learning is amazing. He loves to give everyone there a hug and I have never, felt more secure leaving my son with others.FYI- I am not new to this. I have three children in their 20s. I would do anything to protect this new little man. From the infant room to now being in toddler 1, my wife and I are thrilled that our son feels at home at Active Learning Center.

My son absolutely loves going to school at Active Learning Center. He is in the toddler 1 room and it is his first time going to school. They made the transition so easy and helped him adjust quickly. It is very obvious that the teachers really care about my son, and it gives me confidence that he is happy and cared for while I am at work. We couldnt have made a better decision, when we picked which daycare to enroll our son in.

Our three children went to ALC from the time they were infants through PreK. We have had nothing but positive experiences. The teachers treated all of our children like their own. The office staff was extremely responsive to any requests or questions that we had. And, all of our children were well prepared for public school education.

This is the best daycare! We were attending another daycare which was neglecting and maltreating my 1 yr old when I immediately pulled her out and needed a new daycare and fast! ALC was there for me! And with open loving arms! I watched my daughter flourish and grow...now, anytime she has a day off of school, she gets upset that she cant see Miss Ang and Miss Amanda! Ive LOVED all of her teachers for the past 3 classes! They saved my daughter from maltreatment

ALC has been a great place for our boys. My oldest son started in Toddler3 until Kindergarten and my youngest son started in the infant room and is in PreSchool now. The summers my son enjoys the Summer Camp program. They go to different places everyday and arent stuck inside. They are like family to us. Its very structured there and a lot of extra activities Soccer Shots, Parkettes, Tech Stars and Karate. Our boys have enjoyed all of them! Its a clean facility and super friendly. I would highly recommend this center to any family!

Our 1 year old son transferred from the Palmer location to the Fogelsville location in August of 2017. Initially we could that the level of care was subpar to the Palmer location. Our son was being fed with a random plastic wear (a menchies ice cream spoon) even though we provided our own each day. He would be returned filthy and covered in food on a regular basis. One morning I was changing his diaper and opened the tackle box where they keep the kids creams and noticed that my sons tub of cream was sitting in there without the lid, as if it was being used for all of the kids in the class. On multiple occasions they failed to feed him properly throughout the day because the caregivers stated that they were unsure of what to feed him even though they had been provided with a detailed scheduled that outlined each meal he ate throughout the day. On another occasion another kid was sleeping with his blanket when we dropped him off, none of which would have occurred at the Palmer location. We partnered with the staff there are it seemed to get better over the next couple of weeks until last week.At the beginning of October, our son was due to start transitioning into the toddler room. We had asked twice to schedule a meeting with the new teachers but were told that they were understaffed and it could not be scheduled, but were assured that they would make accommodations for our son while he transitioned into the new classroom. On 10/6/17 my husband went to pick up our son from the new toddler one room, the staff raved about what a great day he had and that he was transitioning very well. When my husband went to get his lunchbox out of the fridge he noticed that all four bottles that he had sent to school for our son were still in the bag. When asked if they fed our son they said, well, he doesnt seem to like cold milk so we didnt feed him any. THEY HADNT GIVEN OUR SON ANYTHING TO DRINK FOR THE ENTIRE DAY! Not only did they not give him anything to drink, but they didnt see what was wrong with it. They simply stated that they didnt have any way to warm it up, so they didnt give it to him. Not at any time prior to the start of the transitioning or during the first 4 days of transitioning were we told that they would not be warming our sons milk. At no point throughout the day did either of the toddler one teachers question the decision not to provide milk to our 1 year old son, or even think to let us know. This location does not show any care for the kids that they are responsible for and only cares about collecting your money each week. If you want to make sure that you child is left in safe hands select another daycare center. To add to all of the issues, today my son was diagnosed with an ear infection and pink eye. Thanks ALC!

I was one to always be completely against daycare for my kids...until the day came that I HAD to put my two boys (ages 4 and 1 at the time) in daycare. My very good friend always spoke very highly of ALC at this location for years, so this was obviously my first choice just based off of her opinion. I have to say this place COMPLETELY changed my opinion on daycare. Over the last year while my kids attended ALC, they have grown socially and academically by leaps and bounds! I knew when I heard my 4 year old trying to read, and when I heard my early two year old count to 20, we were at the right place. Its always a great sign when you show up to pick up your kids, and they drop their shoulders and say Not yet, mom! Each teacher I had to entrust with the care of my children, exceeded my expectations. The teachers and staff are very compassionate, helpful, and knowledgeable. I always have a good feeling leaving my children at ALC for the day. I may not know every teacher personally, but every teacher knows both of my children by name, and thats the definition of a true daycare family!

We toured the center a few weeks ago and it is a great place. The lady who gave us the tour was a wonderful person and if it wasnt for the negative experience we received after touring, our daughter would probably be attending. Instead, weve decided to look for another place. After initially touring the place, my wife and I decided that we were going to enroll our kid for after school care starting on August 17. We sent an email on the 12th saying that we were going to stop by to drop off the paper work for an August 17 start.Things changed and we decided that it wasnt necessary to start on the 17th anymore. We didnt think much of things because we never actually dropped of any paperwork to register our kid. So on the 16th, we sent an email to Tracy Cramer, the Head Directory, to say that we werent going to start on the 17th and that we were trying to determine a better start date.We got an email back from Tracy Cramer with the following info:I will take your daughter off our list. Going forward we cannot credit a week in the middle of a week. We have already added her to our roster, bus list, and attendance.Once you know an official start date, you can email me and at that time I can let you know if we have any openings. We are fairly full.I will look for an email from you with an official start date.TracyAnd thats when the obvious true colors of this Director started to show. As soon as I received that email, I called the center to let them know of a start date right away. We decided on September 6.I called and asked to speak to Tracy. After identifying myself, I was told that Tracy was in a meeting. The lady took down my contact info and said that Tracy would call me when she was done. 1 minute after hanging up, I got a call from the same lady asking what I needed help with and that she would be able to help me.I explained the situation and told her that we planned on registering, but never submitted paperwork, and that we now had a new start date and didnt want to lose our spot. She said that everything was cool if I came in after work with the registration form and payment. Later that night, I was unable to make it and called the center to let them know that unfortunately, I wouldnt be able to make it that night and if I could come in the next day after work to register; I was assured that that was not a problem and we said our goodbyes while confirming that Id be in the following day to register. The following day after work, around 630PM, I get to the center. After standing there for a few minutes, someone opens the door, I believe the ladies name was Linda, the transportation lady.I told Linda that I was there to see Tracy and register for my daughter. She asked for my daughters name and as soon as I told her, she looked at me and said that they didnt have a spot for her and that they gave her spot away.I stood there in disbelief. I tried to explain to her I called I was told that I could come after work to register, and she just told me that they were busy and that they gave my spot away. When i asked to speak to the director, she said that shed take my paperwork and see what they could do and would call me if to let me know if they were able to make anything work.At this point, I was visibly upset.I felt as I they were treating me and my kid like this because we didnt have a set date. Im sorry you went ahead and added us to the list and did all these administrative things, but i didnt think for once that youd go through this if I DIDNT SUBMIT AND PAY FOR REGISTRATION.She decided to take my paperwork. Confused, I asked her what it meant. did she have a spot? Was she on a waiting list? She told me that they had spots and she was in.In the end, we decided that because of the way they treated us, we wouldnt want our child to be in an environment with so much animosity. Who knows how they would treat our little one with us not around.
