I celebrated my birthday on Sunday evening, November 1st, 2015 there by having a private party and wow was that a lot of fun. Resident Chef, Laura Lynn, helped me plan the meal, she was wonderful to work with. There is a wide selection of recipes to choose from so Laura helped me to narrow them down into one tasty meal. On the night of the event, chefs Yvonne and Darryl were our instructors, they are both excellent chefs and excellent teachers so it was quite a treat. The food was so delicious–it turned out to be a memorable evening which is exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this school for a celebration or other team event. This was actually my second class, the first time I went with my neighbors for a private event and that was equally as fun and memorable which is why I decided to go back. Publix really does a wonderful job.

I cant believe how much fun this was! Chef Lloyd and Chef Darryl were so nice and so knowledgeable. We took the knife skills class and I couldnt believe how much easier some of the stuff Ive been doing for years could be. And the food was crazy good. Cant wait to take another class!

I have always had a desire to take a cooking class and received an email from Eventbrite for upcoming classes at the Publix Aprons Cooking School. There were so many classes that interested me, I decided to attend the class using seasonal fruit with seafood dishes – At Seasons Peak: Cherries, Peaches, and Nectarines. Ticket was $50.Publix has several cooking schools, this is the only one in Georgia and it’s located in Alpharetta inside of a very large Publix, the cooking school is to the left as you enter. You can check out classes at the Publix website or through Eventbrite.Class starts promptly and this class was very small, we had a total of 7 students, including myself which was perfect. It was very hands on, we all had an opportunity to prepare a dish or two. The chef was very down to earth, super funny, shared a few tips, and created a warm environment. It was such a fun and kind group of students, it made the class very special. We made creole spicy shrimp, phyllo salmon wellington with pickled cherry relish, creamy herbed ricotta and peach dip with crispy toast rounds, peach/nectarine butter pound cake trifle with coconut crèmeFood – all ingredients are from Publix and fruit was made in GA and some of the other products also. The food portions were very large, we had enough for a feast. We were all full and took goody bags home. We also had wine with our meal, the selection paired very well with each dish.If you’re looking for something different sign up today, I’m already viewing upcoming classes and it’s tough to decide, do I want to make pies or fish tacos.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our Vietnamese cooking class! Chefs Darryl and Chris were fun and professional, and the consummate hosts. The recipes were easy and delicious, and since we were the only students that evening we were very hands-on. And, there were lots of left-overs to take home and enjoy again the next day with family! Where else do you find such a good value? A fun evening, great instruction, and a complete delicious meal for $50 each! We will definitely be back!

My first experience was not good. There was poor (no) communication after a class was cancelled. But since then I taken a half dozen or so classes there, and have loved every one. The staff are friendly, patient, informative, and fun. The food we prepared was delicious and absolutely repeatable at home. I highly recommend Aprons!
