My five year old has been riding at The Equestrian Reserve for just under a year. This was her first experience ever riding and we feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful barn with such amazing instructors. Hannah, Sam, Niki and Brittany are very experienced and have such amazing patience with my daughter. I appreciate how the lessons include an educational component such as caring for and preparing the horse for the ride in addition to the actual riding lesson. Furthermore, The Equestrian Reserve is very safety conscious and I’ve always appreciated how the instructors follow my daughter’s lead with regard to learning new skills and having her ride different horses. We look forward to continuing her lessons and attending the various camps they offer.

My wife and I have been taking lessons at The Equestrian Reserve for several weeks, and have really enjoyed the experience. Weve had some experience riding Western-style, and wanted to improve our skills and confidence. Our instructors (Hannah, Nikki, and Alex -- with support from Brittany and Tempest) have been great. They communicate well, are very supportive and positive, and patient with us and the other students. We go all the way from grooming the horse to tacking (pad, saddle, bridle) to riding in each session. Most of the session is in an arena, while some can be on a short trail circuit. The instructors give the riders and horses exercises to perform, so youre not just riding around in circles. They offer both English and Western tack. If youre interested in competing/showing (were not), The Equestrian Reserve can really bring you along to improve your riding. Another student told us shed been to another barn, and preferred The Equestrian Reserve by a long shot over the other facility. Highly recommend.

I have been riding here for a long time and I can say that it has been the most rewarding experience ever. The instructors at my barn are incredibly talented as is our show team. Not only do I love the sport I love the people I’m surrounded with here. I’ve made so many friends here and I always feel so happy to be at the barn. I always get a warm welcome each time I get out of my car and go inside. The horses are very sweet and talented as are all of the instructors, the barn is a very positive environment and helps with finding friends - especially if you’re homeschooled (like me). I HIGHLY recommend the Equestrian Reserve to riders of all ages and of all skill level, almost everything is offered here. I’m so glad I decided to come here all those years ago!

This barn is a kid and a parents dream. Everything from lessons, how horses are cared for, staff, tack, to safety and communication is A++. The Equestrian Reserve has also done an impeccable job during the Covid-19 pandemic in implementing and following CDC guidelines. The teachers and staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant. They redirect and teach students in a positive way. Lesson prices are very reasonable. The focus is on teaching students not only to ride but how to care for horses, tack and everything that goes into the sport. This barn is the best managed I have seen in my almost 40 years of riding and loving horses. Highly recommend making this your first and last stop when looking for a place to ride.

The Equestrian Reserve has been such a wonderful place for our daughter to grow her love for horses and riding at such a young age. I would have never imagined starting shows this early, but her confidence, humility and pure joy around these horses have kept us coming back for more! The instructors all have a true passion for horses and pass that along to their riders. We have had great experiences with camps and lessons all while keeping riders as safe as possible. I love the accountability and expectations put on the riders even at our daughter’s age. We are so thankful we found Equestrian Reserve when we moved here almost 2 years ago!

Hannah moved barns over five years ago to The Equestrian Reserve . We make the trip up from the Emory area each weekend and it has been worth the miles. My daughter who is about to be 14 continues to be challenged weekly by her instructors who she loves and respects. Sam , Tempest , Hannah, Niki and Alex are incredible trainers and their love of horses and teaching shows. Donna and her entire team are stellar.

My daughter has been riding at the Equestrian Reserve for 2 years now and I have been taking adult lessons for about 8 months off and on too. All of the riding instructors do a fantastic job of coaching horse safety and proper riding skills, and also take the time to really teach their students all about horses such as grooming, health care, behavior, and each individual horse’s personality and needs. As an educator myself, I appreciate the “riding school” structure that holds high expectations for students. My daughter says over and over that she “loves her barn family” and that feeling came only be created by great leadership and hiring the right staff. We highly recommend the Equestrian Reserve!

The instructors keep the kids safe and are concerned with their proper advancement. The owner is amazing, everyone is very very friendly. I highly recommend Equestrian Reserve!

Im only leaving a review to get a question answered. I was looking for something to do this season or over the next few months. But because im so young, low paying. But im 12 and turn 13 in September. Ive ridden horses and want to be able to be in contact with horses. They are my favorite animal. Im looking more to have a for fun job since I cant do anything serious. Is it possible to work here part time for fun? Im only looking to groom and take care of the horses if you guys like the idea...?🙂 just let me know if that it possible. I have been wanting an after school thing

My daughter just started last month with the Love of Horses camp! She has learned so much in a short amount of time! We have put her in another camp as well as semi-private lessons! It’s incredible how much she has learned already! The instructors are amazing, encouraging, and put safety first! We feel completely safe with all the social distancing policies they have established. The horses are beautiful as are the grounds! My daughter is loving her time here!

We switched to The Equestrian Reserve about 6 months ago and could not be more pleased! My 4th grade daughter has progressed so much and built her confidence thanks to the nurturing staff. Donna and Hannah are extremely organized and the facility is immaculate and provides a SAFE environment for learning to care for horses and riding skills and techniques. The barn is also flexible with schedules and makeups and transparent about policies. This is my daughters happy place!!

My 11 yr old daughter has been going there for just over six months, and she is absolutely thrilled with the instructors, horses and barn. As a parent, you always receive up-to-date information about what is going on, and what you need to know. Great place that shows their love for horses and students all the time!

My daughter has been riding here for about 3 and a half years. They have taught her horsemanship from the very beginning . Its been very educational and also rewarding for her. The instructors are wonderful examples for my daughter! It is a very structured environment. We personally like that because we homeschool, so structure is typically welcome for us.

My daughter had participated in “For the love of horses camp” and also semi private lessons and loved both of them. Her knowledge and riding improvement happened very quickly due to the excellent training of the instructors. I am very impressed with Equeatrian Reserve and we will be coming back for more lessons soon!

My child has taken riding lessons for three years. When we began our search for riding instruction, we found Equestrian Reserve to be the best in the area. Donna, the owner, is a former educator who runs a top-notch riding school. The grounds are pristine, the instructors are very knowledgeable and patient, and everything is run consistently from week to week. There are many fun camps during the summer, opportunities to be on the show team, and an awesome Halloween costume parade. My child has thrived in her riding ability and does not miss any opportunity to go to the Equestrian Reserve.

We love The Equestrian Reserve! Our daughter started attending summer and spring break camps when she was 8. We had her 9th birthday party there and the rest is history. She is now 11 and takes weekly classes, leases a horse once/month and shows horses at Wills Park! Thank you for all the great leadership and equestrian experience you provide our children!

Couldnt have asked for a better experience. Donna and her staff are an amazing group of quality instructors with very high integrity...not only do they teach the kids to ride, but the teach them horse and competitive responsibility in a very warm team atmosphere. We rode with Donna for just under 2 years and would still be riding there if my daughter were not ready to move on to jumping. My daughters form and skill improved dramatically within 2 months of lessons at this barn, after spending almost a year at another barn where she was allowed to develop several bad habits. My daughter was able to attain a Grand Champion and a Reserve Grand Champion title after her first year of competition with Equestrian Reserves coaching and horses.
