My name is Emma and I have been studying with Dr. Martin Gueorguie for many years. He is both an incredible player and an amazing cello teacher. He has provided me with an absolutely extraordinary music education. Every lesson is focused and productive but it never feels stressful. Dr. Martin is patient and encouraging and always pushes me to do my very best. He also takes into account what I want as a musician and my personal schedule, as I am often very busy. Because of his teaching, I have seen myself grow in both my musicality and technicality as well as my own maturity. I could not have asked for a better teacher and I highly recommend him.

My daughter started her Suzuki violin lessons with Ms Virginia one and half year ago. We are having one by one lessons and group classes. She is a very good, nice and professional teacher. My impression is, she is not only a professional teacher but she understands little kid students very well. She teaches, trains them, helps them developing skills according to kids nature. She also plays games with them and inspires her students. We like her so much.

I have been studying viola with Ms. Amy Chang for the past 5 years since middle school, and I can confidently say that her thorough lessons and unwavering positive attitude single-handedly paved the way to my musical success.Ms. Amy always has been supportive of any goal her students wanted to achieve, and has, without exception, tirelessly done everything to help them reach that goal.Since 6th grade, I took part in the GMEA All-State Orchestra as the principal and assistant principal for numerous years. I was also fortunate enough to take part in the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra as the Viola Principal since last year as a 9th grader, and as an alternate to the 2021 National Youth Orchestra. In addition, I was able to win 1st Prize in my division in the GMTA Strings & Classical Guitar as the Conference Recitalist for the past two years, and 1st Prize Senior Division in the Atlanta Festival Competition in 2020.Without Ms. Amy’s incredibly detailed teachings in all aspects of music, I don’t think it would be ever possible for me to achieve these goals. The facilities of WPMA are well-suited for current times, as their use of mandatory mask policies, easy access to hand sanitizers, and individual rooms for each teacher-student pair creates a comfortable environment for everyone to learn. If you are looking for a way to drastically improve your technique and musicality, I highly recommend WPMA. I cannot express enough how fortunate I am to be Ms. Amy’s student, and how much I owe her for everything she has done to improve my musicianship.

Mr. Ryan has been my violin teacher here for about 3 years now, before I started taking lessons I had some bad habits that I didnt realize I had. Mr. Ryan pointed out what were my bad habits and the first lessons we had was to fix my bad habits. He also taught me new techniques and helped me understand music better than before. He has helped me progress further than what I wouldve learned at school and helped me grow as a musician.

I am so pleased that I found WPMA as the academy and Mrs. Mayu as the teacher for my daughter to learn violin!Mrs. Mayu is a brilliant and passionate teacher. She is very experienced at explaining music in a way that is easily understandable, which inspires kids to learn and absorb the music, instead of memorize the music. My daughter started to learn from Mrs. Mayu since 2018 when she was 7 years old, and is continuing. In the past 2+ years, she have been so enjoying violin and she cherishes every single minute of classes with Mayu. Mayu is not only teaching her techniques, but also teaching her how to have violin as a joyful part of life! I fully trust Mrs. Mayu because I know she is doing all the right things to her students.

I am writing this review with the intention of providing some reference points for parents who are searching for a violin teacher for their children. We can only speak honestly from our own experience. I myself am an amateur violinist and aficionado for classical music, which would only make our effort more calibrating in search for a violin teacher for our son. We were fortunate to settle with Mr. Pu and have no plan to change teacher in a foreseeable future. With no reservation, I can say Mr. Pu is the best violin teacher we could find for our son. He has been able to observe issues, diagnose the problems, prioritize what to tackle. He sets the bar high for students and is adamant about technique foundation through pedagogical methods and standard music literature, which is indispensable for a student who wants to advance to his or her full potential. For a talented and diligent student, he has a commitment to the student’s overall musicianship development, going beyond just technical study and repertoire. He often uses analogies in his teaching to explain some technical difficulties to help the student understand the nuances that often make the outcome surprisedly different. Mr. Pu is also a very accomplished violinist. His students would only get inspired by beautifully playing through his demonstration during the lesson. This is especially true when a student is working on a challenging piece of music. In my opinion, Mr. Pu is a world-class violin teacher in many aspects, if not all.Truly,FZ

My daughter has been taking violin lessons for the past 4 years with Mrs. Virginia. She loves her teacher. Mrs. Virginia loves teaching kids. She has a lot of patience, and she tries different things to make children understand the concept. My daughter really enjoys her lessons, and she was very upset when she found out it she might have to switch teachers due to a scheduling conflict (she started middle school this year). Overall I am very pleased with WPMA, Mrs. Virginia and Mr. Pu. I miss the pre-Covid times when kids were having recitals.

I have only been going to the academy for about a year now, but this year has undoubtedly been the most progressive year I have had as a growing musician. I have had over ten private instructors over the years, but my current instructor, Ms. Amy, has taught me things that I have never seen or heard of from any other lesson teacher. I would 10/10 recommend this place if you are taking music more seriously, or if you are just looking for a highly experienced and knowledgeable lessons teacher.

Our fifteen-year-old daughter started taking violin lessons from Mr. Pu last year after taking lessons from her previous teacher for 9 years. She really loved working with her previous teacher, and we wanted to find the perfect person to be her new teacher. Several people (including her previous teacher) recommended Mr. Pu. After our first test lesson, it became obvious that Mr. Pu was the perfect fit; he is both an outstanding violinist/musician and an amazing teacher/mentor. He has inexhaustible knowledge in violin playing and suggests innovative ways to practice during each and every lesson. He is warm, positive, and caring, yet firm and demanding with high expectations. Thanks to his teaching, our daughter’s sound has improved dramatically during this past year; her sound is so much stronger and is starting to have many new colors. His school offers many great opportunities including performances and master classes with Atlanta’s most distinguished musicians. It is also inspiring to our daughter that he has many other strong violin students with whom she will have the opportunity to interact this summer at his violin boot camp! We live far from his school but the commute is definitely worthwhile. We look forward to another productive school year to come!

My daughter has been taking violin lesson with Mr. William Pu for three years. Mr. Pu is an enthusiastic, talented musician with extraordinary teaching experience. His dedication to teaching is superb as shown through his classes and even I can tell the significant improvement in my daughters violin performance. When she started studying with him, we were unsure if she could make it into the All State Orchestra. After only a few weeks under Mr. Pus direction, she knew exactly how to perform the excerpts expressively while using the correct technique. His focus on technical elements improved her playing immensely in a very short amount of time because she wasnt straining as hard to achieve good intonation and sound. He has also always encouraged and challenged her to learn the nuances of each piece. These are some of the things my daughter will always cherish. I highly recommend Mr. Pu to any one whos interested in learning violin.
