This awesome little school has been such a gift to our family. The teachers are kind, thoughtful, patient, and so engaging. Our son comes home from school completely exhausted from his rigorous play and mental stimulation. Also, our son’s Spanish comprehension and communication has flourished in this immersive environment. As a native Spanish speaker, I’m so grateful for the support this school provides, as we do not speak Spanish consistently at home. I think it’s so cool that our son can now speak easily and confidently with extended members of our family in their native language.Finally, I can’t say enough good things about the friendships that my son has formed at this school or the relationships we have formed with the extended parent community. Such a great group of individuals. Thank you, Rayuela, for enriching our lives. We love you!

I signed up my son to Rayuela Summer Program, so he could immersed in a Spanish environment with other kids. This was the best decision I have made. My husband and I are impressed on how well he is talking in Spanish, he can hold a conversation with native Spanish speaker without any help. I am a true believer that kids learn as they play, and that is exactly what happens in Rayuela. As kids play and have fun, they are learning Spanish and playing in Spanish, which makes such a difference because this is the way the brain actually absorbs new information. My son had so much fun this summer, he had the best experience and I am so grateful for Miss Lili and all the other teachers, they are the sweetest and most professional educators. I highly recommend Rayuela Summer program!!!

Rayuela has provided an amazing educational experience to my son over the course of these past two years. Not only am I grateful for his education, but I am also grateful for the love and care that was provided by the amazing teachers, as well as the feeling of community that was created for him and our family.Due to the support of the amazing Rayuela community, my bi-racial child has been able to learn more about his Latino heritage and has developed the ability to speak Spanish - a language that we are unable to speak consistently in our home.I deeply hope that the Altadena community will embrace Rayuela’s mission and allow this little school to expand so that it can serve more families like mine.

We enrolled in Rayuela because after living abroad for a year in Mexico, we were eager for our son to continue to be immersed in a Spanish-speaking educational environment and to retain his bilingual foundation. While he has been at Rayuela, it has been gratifying to watch him strengthen his ability to communicate in two languages. More importantly, though, Rayuela has provided a deeply enriching, nurturing, and caring environment where our son is learning and thriving. He loves his friends and his maestras (teachers); if he could, he would go to school on the weekends too. We feel so fortunate that our son has had the opportunity to attend this school, and were so  glad to be a part of Rayuela’s community.

Our 3 year-olds requests to go to school are the best testimony of Rayuelas quality. His teachers are loving and patient. He plays and learns, is happy and is well-cared for (besides having the unique Spanish immersion!) We couldnt ask for more in a preschool. Thank you, Rayuela!
