Raven Graves is the only person you should be going to for bartending classes. She has a unique niche in the bartending world. She was my instructor at ABC Bartending School in Altadena, CA. She taught me the basics of mixology – how to “count the pour,” basic ingredients in over 100 well-known drinks, how to choose the right glass, and the art of garnishes. I graduated with my bartender’s certificate, COVID-19 precautions certificate, and the knowledge and confidence I needed to get jobs shaking and stirring. I plan to follow up with Raven to expand my knowledge even further by learning specialty drinks, “spooky” drinks, and to keep my skills fresh! I highly recommend Raven for her Mixology skills.

Although the idea of taking a bartending course might sound sketchy during a pandemic, I can assure you, Raven at ABC Bartending made me feel safe. She made sure we kept our masks on, supplied sanitizer, and kept the students distanced to insure our safety. Aside from cleanliness and safety, she did a great job at teaching us the knowledge we needed to pursue our careers in bartending. I would definitely recommend ABC bartending to others, especially the Altadena Location!!!

1000% would recommend this school in Pasadena/Altadena! Raven is fantastic, was able to take me during COVID with social distancing and safety measures in place. The location is set up just like a bar with music and dim lights to mimic the real environment, not like a lot of other schools where its like a science classroom. Flexible scheduling for classes, I couldnt speak highly of the course.Biggest plus is they guarantee job placement when everything is open again, but Raven and the recruiting team were able to find me a full time job within a month of graduating even in the middle of COVID.Already saving up to send my mother here, as its always been a dream of hers to bartend and Raven has worked with all ages and backgrounds so I feel very comfortable sending her here!

Raven was an amazing teacher and person! I feel confident in the skills I was taught and I feel like Im leaving with two years of experience. She doesnt just focus on the basics she goes above and beyond and teaches you things from the real world not just the book. An added bonus is the amazing decor she has in her classroom allowing you to feel like youre working in a bar from the second you step in. If you go to this location you will leave prepared.

Raven is an amazing instructor. She puts so much care and effort into ensuring that her students are prepared to enter the world of bartending. From day one those who may not have restaurant experience are given a lesson in Restaurant 101. Each class begins with retrieving ice from the ice machine, setting up the station, ensuring that the person who had your station prior has left it in a proper condition, and then practicing making drinks from previous lessons. Even if bartending isnt the career path you want to embark on and youre wanting to mix up drinks for your at home events, Ravens class is one you should take. Secondly, ABC Bartending School is just an amazing place to be at.Youll actually learn how to be a great bartender with the hands on experience that Raven provides. It feel like youre in a real bar experience. There is a bar, great music, and cool people everywhere. It is definitely the spot to be if you want to learn how to be a great bartender.

When I first entered it was like a real mini club! The classroom is one of a kind - a realistic bar. From beginning to end my instructor inspired, encouraged, reviewed, and informed my classmates and I on the real world pros and cons to bartending from years of experience. I took the two week morning classes, and every day was special! I graduated, got my license and already have an interview. The reviews are real, and if you put your effort into any class here you will see positive results! Will be back for more classes, definitely.

Raven was such an excellent teacher. She made it fun and went above an beyond with her knowledge of the craft. She was excellent at being there for us in class and out of class. Without her assistance I wouldn’t have had such a great resume which led to me getting a great craft bar job within a week of finishing the class.

I loved my learning experience with Raven at the Altadena location. Id definitely reccomend taking her class! Shes passionate about her craft and it shows. Greatest instructor at this location . You get the best experience because the setting is similar to a real bar . Music, great decorations and you’ll find yourself comfortable really quick .RAVEN is who you wanna ask for because it’s smooth and one on one break down when learning the lessons. I am proud to have experienced and graduate at this location with Raven . DEFINATELY WILL REFER HER TO ANYONE WANTING TO TAKE CLASSES and may need that extra push .

WOW. There are really are no other words to describe how awesome this location and instructor are. The instructor not only knows the craft well, but also is passionate about teaching. It was like being in Graduate school all over again and I loved every minute of it! The location is decked out to really train you for high volume, and you will not be limited in job options at all if you are trained here. Completely fell in love with this class and pretty sad when it was over. The classroom setting is unique to say the least. The instructor is passionate and really cares about what they do. Youll always carry that spark of wanting to learn more with each day that passes. I was pretty hestitant and nervous to actually start but when I did, I knew I made the right choice. I cannot recommend this location enough. Go ahead and see for yourselves.

Everything about going to the Altadena location was awesome. Easy and quick enrollment, great class size, and the instructor is knowledgable about the industry and how to really do well as a bartender. Would give 10 stars if I could!

Highly recommend abc bartending school to anyone who is interested. The very first day I arrived I was greeted by Max who was my instructor. He made the criteria so interesting that I began looking forward to going to class every single time. The two weeks went by fast and Max took his time and had patience with any assistance we needed. Super chill and I will definitely miss this course!

I have to give a lot of credit to ABC Bartending School the Altadena location. I really enjoyed my time there taking the mixology classes for two weeks. The school has an outstanding ambience and the set up is great just like in the real world set up so realistic like a bar. I learned so much in the two week class, learned so much and had much fun I did not want the class to end. The school director Kim was ver helpful in making sure I got the class schedule and location I desired. As for the instructors at the Altadena location what can I say simply awesome Raven Graves and Nick are two great instructors with a lot of information to share for those aspiring bartenders. They made the class fun and informative they truly know what they are talking about and show a lot of passion in teaching and showing students everything about bartending. I seriously recommend anyone who is considering bartending school considered ABC Bartending in Altadena CA. Raven and Nick are great people really nice they truly have a lot of people skills and knowledge of the business. Thank You Raven and Nick for an amazing time I truly did learn a lot.
