Every class I have ever taken has been great and all professors have been extremely helpful. My only complaint is the front desk, I know that when I call I will be on hold for at least 10-30 mins before anyone ever answers the phones. I work everyday and cant waste 30 mins of my day for a 10 min conversation or for them to transfer me to another place and wait another 30 mins to gain help. The call back option is not true I have used that 4-5 times and never gotten a call back. The teachers are helpful and full of great information and I have learned a lot about the subjects that I have taken in the last couple years. I also want to say that the safe is great once someone picks up the phone but 10-30 mins every time I call is is ridiculous!

Advisors and financial aid told me I can enroll five days after the enrollment period (when hold is taken off of my account for loans). I go in today and they say it is delayed by a week, we’re they ever going to notify me about this issue? Why would you tell me the hold is going to be taken off the account when it isn’t, then tell me my classes aren’t financial aid eligible but then they’re eligible, followed by a week delay from the date you “guaranteed”. Stressful and lack of transparency. Now I risk not being able to take my classes for nursing about being behind a semester because your financial aid department is having “issues” per your staff. Ok.

Very unprofessional. No one communicates, when you call you are told to contact your advisor that they have 24 hours to respond! I have been waiting for a response since November. I’m good. They really need to get it together.... I’ll stick to UCF

Advisor Kia Anderson is probably the worst advisor in history. It is so hard to get her to communicate especially when it involves deadlines and trying to make sure you get what you need. She is not helpful at all and doesn’t show that she actually cares about helping. She is very nonchalant in her approach. I really don’t know why Seminole State decided to make her an advisor. There are plenty other advisors who work at schools with way more students and they still get to their students in a timely manner and show that they actually care about their academic goals. But not this lady. She is simply here because she is a body. I’d rather Siri be my advisor instead of Kia Anderson. Very unbelievable!

Throughout the website it says to reach out to your advisor to find out particular information and when you do youre redirected to find the information yourself. Just not a welcoming or helpful experience at all. Instead of more headaches, I decided to transfer to another state college, thats equivalent in size and have experienced none of the same issues.

Want to save time AND money? Go to Valencia. Youll get a different solution to the same problem every single time you talk to a different person. The issue is, none of the solutions are the correct answer. From one struggling college student to another, save your money and go to Valencia.

Perfect for knocking out those bs gen-eds without going broke. The campus itself is very compact which is great for back-to-back classes if you choose to do so and there is plenty of room for parking. So far, my professors have been phenomenal (even though the majority of them are being refused full-time, shame on you), but the in-person classes are still very much dependent on online education to include homework, lectures and exams. This makes in-classroom learning seem like a waste of time and money. 0/5 there. For vets with the post 9/11 GI bill: do 3 online classes and 1 in-person class for the full BAH. For everyone else: just go online until the dependency on online garbage fades away. Otherwise you will surely lose your mind like I have this semester.

Great College experience.

Horrific university. Poor communication, poor advisors. My wife had a revolving door of advisors (7 in less than two years), each causing adjustments that delayed her degree. Because of the multitude of advisors, it created a mess with Financial Aid - which would then decide that my hard earned resources were theirs to just take - without so much as a conversation.Teachers were mediocre at best - spent more time complaining about Trump than actually teaching (the degree is for nursing).My wife has worked tirelessly and deserves better - so much better. So do you. Avoid this school at all costs. They will only educate you on lack of responsibility, poor leadership, horrific communication and ultimately an abundance of theft (your resources and your time).Stay clear of this place.

I have sent my transcripts to two different places - to this campus and also the campus in Altamonte springs. Neither campus has received my past college transcripts. I met with an enrollment specialist from the Altamonte campus and she told me that I should start choosing my classes. However, I am not willing to pick any courses until my financial aid is disbursed. In order for my financial aid to disburse, the college must have my transcripts on file. I cannot afford to pay for college out of pocket, which is why I applied for financial aid in the first place. Please, stop withholding student transcripts, so the students may get their grant disbursed and they can start school. It isnt fair how I spent now 40 dollars plus money to order extra transcripts (5 dollars each) to have my transcripts sent by certified and next day mail, and they claim that they have not received them. I have proof from the tracking numbers that the envelopes were in fact delivered and signed for. Please, if you need help to clear some of the desk pile of paperwork, call me, I can help you clear it. I just need my transcript on file so I can start school. My transcripts are probably sitting there in a pile collecting dust.

Scared to go here. All these reviews are so bad and I feel college is a money scheme but this place seems like it hurts peoples more than helps them...thank you for reviews guys I feel bad and I will chose another school now for their horrible way. These people are so rude! Who hired them? We are here for educational goals not to endure your attitudes that you should leave to your family and friends. There is a woman in the Admin office named TANYA whos loud and rude... if someone puts their hands out for you to hand them the forms and you slam them on the desk... Just quit and take your attitude to the car. If you dont introduce yourself or hold the door for people meeting with you, quit and take your attitude to the car. Terrible.

I love this school a lot. I am visually impaired and this school gives me everything I need. When I walk in I get asked each time if they can help me and where I am going. I always come across friendly staff and everything your told to do comes with detail. They care a lot about their students and I really enjoy going to school here!

This school doesnt appreciate its tuition paying students. We have to jump through hoops to register, apply for financial aid with very little info given about the process. It is just before Finals week and Im attempting to study in the library but lawn maintenance outside is deafening and inside, workers decide today the right day to replace all the overhead lights, needing to shut down lighting in entire blocks of the library at a time. So much for having a quiet area to study! I guess all our tuition is paying for the maintenance that is non-stop around here, to the point of interference with actual schooling. *smh*

Biggest regret. Password is constantly changing and if you forget it good luck calling or coming in to change it. Financial aid was taken away 1 whole f*cking dollar to print at the campus. Third semester in havent learned anything new that they would of taught you in high school. Good luck finding a parking spot

Its a nice college. It is kept well cleaned even the bathrooms. Staff is always helpful and caring. They have a bunch of resources also to help you with any kind of topic or essay or just a tutor.

STAY AWAY!!! THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY. CHOOSE ANOTHER COLLEGE. THEY CANCEL MY FINANCIAL AID 2 MONTHS ARTER I WAS ADMITTED TO THE SCHOOL AND STARTED ALL MY CLASSES. REMEMBER WITH FINANCIAL AID APPROVED. I HAD NO WORRIES ALL BOOKS WERE PAID AND FEES SETTLED. I GOT A CALL TO GO TO THE FINANCIAL AID OFFICE WHEN I GOT THERE THEY ASKED ME HOW I WANTED TO PAY FOR THE CLASSES CASH OR CREDIT CARD JUST LIKE THAT IT SHOCKED ME. AND THEY HAD ALL PAPERWORK SIGNED. THEY AGREED AND APPROVED A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF AID FOR THE COURSES. IF I KNEW AID WAS DENIED I WAS NOT EVEN GONNA REGISTER FOR CLASSES. SO AFTER BRINGING THE ISSUE TO THE DEAN AND HAD A MEETING WITH HER SHE ASKED ME TO SEEK HELP TO PAY THE FEES VERY UNFAIR THAT I DID NOT RECEIVED CLEAR INFORMATION WHY MY AID WAS DENIED AFTER 2 MONTHS GOING TO CLASS AND THEY NEVER STOP ME. NOW I END UP WITH A $2500 UNPAID BILL FOR THE SEMESTER.

Most horrific college experience ever. I’ve been to 2 other colleges and have experience with other schools. The administrators are rude, unhelpful and make you feel like you are going crazy. Financial aid office is so horrific I had to report them to the Department of Education for not following standards. Please save your sanity and chose a different school. You will lose your mind trying to deal with this school.

WORST staff members in the world especially the Advisors i learned more about college on a 2 minute youtube video they littely try to discourage you please save yourself a headache and stress and go to the sanford campus please or you will see for yourself i got so much more to say but the truth will come to the light i trust God.

These people dont give a crap about you, even though they suck up your money. They make you wait in line for 3 hours just to ask one question. This campus is extremely confusing and chaotic, not organized at all. Most of the workers here do not even speak english, and most employees are very rude and do not care. Dont waste your money on them.

I dont think its fair that since i am using student loans, i cant register for classes until disbursement which is 2 to 3 weeks away. That leaves you with crappy teachers...sloppy class schedules....no online classes left if needed....out of textbooks the whole 9 yards. This just made me realize that seminole state cares more about the money than the students.

The process of getting everything set up and their financial aid system are terrible. Im at risk of having my classes removed due to them not being efficient with passing doccuments in which I had already given. Most of their staff are rude and their help desk has you asking constantly if you have been passed mainly due to your name dissappearing every 6 minutes form their moniter showing everyone in line. Other than that their teachers are very nice and the environment student wise is very friendly.

Great college and this location / building is so simple to navigate around. Excellent professors and staff on every campus.

How much does does this college cost to attend?

God help you if you have Florida Pre-paid or any other form of scholarships/grants. EVERY semester their site has problems allowing you to pay with your program. Unless you want to pay with cash/check expect to have to call them and/or go in to fix the error of them not excepting your financial aide. EVERY SEMESTER its the same problem. Its honestly ridiculous and I am getting very sick of it.

Some teachers are better than others, but generally the school is cheap and very well established.

Its a great school with amazing professors that help you reach goals and accomplishments

This people were clueless when I show them a high school diploma from Puerto Rico. My diploma was good to get me in the military, get me through one of the hardest c-school the US Navy has but is not good enough for them, and told me they cant accept it.

Love the College and professors. They are care about their students.
