We had the birthday party package for my daughters birthday. Hair do, painted nails and we added painted toes. Great service. The folks were so kind. We really enjoyed our visit. I recommend it! All I needed was to add balloons to make it the best ever!

This was back in January but I figured I’d share my experience. I went in for my birthday to get my nails done. I had a girl named hailey. She started my nails with poly gel which I didn’t mind but I had told her I want acrylics. She never filed them. She proceeded to paint them after and slap a few gems on then walked out because she had to get to her other job. I was so heartbroken. I showed another woman there and she tried her best to fix them but they turned out so bad. I will not be returning.

There is so much I could say about this Academy but there is only so much I have to say. I’ll start off with the staff, all the educators here are very professional. Extremely polite. Are always there when you needed them. However the receptionist is extremely unprofessional, rude, and should not be working in this type of place if she is going to have the attitude she does. She would favorite and run down on students like it was her job even though it very much wasn’t. She is always unhappy and if students did a simple thing that was an inconvenience to her she would complain. I feel as if clients don’t see the real inside details about this place which is totally fine, but if you’re thinking about becoming a student here, think twice. Tour it, and read it well because looks can be deceiving. There is drama. There is favoritism. And there is unprofessionalism. Students are not able to work on each other for extra practice. Any extra practice is done on a mannequin and you can on do so much to a mannequin before they have no hair left. There could definitely be a way to educate the students more and that isn’t any of the educators faults, it’s simply the rhythm of classes and how the academy has it set to be taught. But students pay to be here, so when you pay to be somewhere make sure you’re getting your money’s worth.

Ive been going to Tspa since I got my hair done for prom there in 2018. Every batch of students has continued to amaze me each time I go there. I highly recommend anyone to get their hair done here. Yes it might be a teaching academy but thats what you expect when going here: that THEY ARE STUDENTS! They are learning to be professionals so anyone who gives this place a bad review knew what they were getting into. The staff here has always been so friendly and super kind and very helpful. Cant wait for my next appointment in a few weeks!!!

My sister surprised me with a facial the morning of my birthday. Bianca was very knowledgeable about tips, skin care routines and even suggested ideas for my personal skin type. It was a nice and wonderful atmosphere and I would definitely return. I would suggest asking for Bianca as she was such a positive and happy go lucky worker. You can tell she enjoys what she does and enjoys making people feel happy and confident about their appearance! Not to mention my skin looks so clear and beautiful.

My first experience with Tspa was 5 stars when I had my hair colored. But this time, I went in for a TRIM (I had VERY long hair that covered the entirety of my back) and left with about 7-8 inches cut off. Eventually I became more okay with how much was cut off until I realized that its not even cut straight; the right side is noticeably longer than my left.. I am very disappointed in the quality of this TRIM that turned into cutting almost half the length of my hair off.Because of my wonderful first experience, I did not hesitate to go back, but unfortunately, I did not have the same experience the second time around. The staff is wonderful and the teacher that comes around is very sweet! I just hope the student that cut my hair could learn from this and improve.

I recently visited and saw Whitney to have eyelash extensions done for the first time. She is so wonderful and one of the sweetest people ever. They turned out exactly how I imagined them, and I cant wait to go back to see her again! If youre looking to get extensions done, she is the person to see for sure!

Horrible customer service. Booked appointments then told us they couldnt accomplish those things because THEY overbooked. Very rude about it too. Acted like their overbooking was my fault. Ridiculous.Try learning customer service along with a trade.

Taylor did my first ever set of eyelash extensions and I absolutely love them! She is so talented and gentle. I couldn’t be happier!!

Harley did a great job on my trim. Takes her time and makes sure it looks right. Highly recommend :)

I had my eyebrows done and the lady butchered them. I went in with thick brows and came out with uneven pencil brows. They were apologetic but that doesn’t fix the mess up. The girl was very inexperienced and unsupervised. It’ll take months for my brows to grow back):

Took the girl 2 1/2 hours to roll my hair for a perm,so to get a perm and haircut was a total of 4 1/2 hrs. Half my hair is straight. I will never go back,or ever give anybody a good review to go here. No point calling and complaining,I dont want to be there again for 4 1/2 hrs. So wasted $ 45 dollars. Then my mother had her hair dyed. Took 3 hours. She had asked for a gray color she picked out,well her hair came out blonde. She told the girl like 6 times this isnt the correct color. The girl preceded to put mousse or whatever gel to spike it,and again my mother mentioned it,as did I. Finally she got her instructor,which had her mix another color. A total of 4 instructors helped her. Instead of these instructors checking on these kids and helping and walking around-they are to busy talking.Instead these girls had to make numerous trips to ask questions.Then you have to wait around for towels to get your hair dried,because either there isnt enough or nobody is cleaning them. Just overall horrible experience and a waste of money.

I went in for a hair glaze and eyelash extensions, I had like three or four different people do my lashes cause the orginal girl got impatient and irritated a few times but its a long process I guess, but she did a fantastic job on my eyelashes and hair!! Definitely recommend, The staff is very friendly and are very informative of all questions!!

One of the best Salons Ive been to. Great staff that greeted us right when we walked in the door. I was with two of my male friends, who went to get their hair cut. After we were greeted, two staff members Ashley and Jen Dennis immediately had the two gentlemen in chairs to begin their haircuts! They made them both feel as if they knew them their entire lives. Making them laugh and enjoy the entire experience. Most of all they made the guys feel comfortable being in a salon. The facility was gorgeous and clean. You could really tell the staff enjoyed their jobs which makes the experience, that much better. Thank you ladies at the salon and we WILL be back. I highly recommend this salon to anyone :)

I had a pedicure today with Mason. He was amazing! The massage chair was a bonus. I will definitely be back.

This school is amazing! When I was first talking about coming to school I was so nervous and scared because I didn’t was to be bullied like I was all through middle school and high school. When something started I went straight to Ms Michelle and it got snagged in the butt right away! The educators are amazing and I wouldn’t change the way they teach us!! I love this school and always recommend this school when someone asks about going to a beauty school! LOVE IT! TSPA PROUD!

The teachers and staff go above and beyond for all their students and they are willing to take time to work with you one on one to make sure you understand it. They let you creativity SHINE by doing unique challenges from makeup to updos. Even the office staff works with each student when life throws you a curveball they will help you figure out the options thats in the best interest of you. They love motivating and watching each student succeed. I love going to school and knowing that you are going to make a beautiful creation on each person that sits in your chair. I love knowing my career is boosting self confidence and making the natural beauty of people SHINE.

I Visited the TSPA Altoona this past week, It was my third time and felt the need to write a review. The place is amazing. Its a bit of NYC and Beverly Hills all rolled up into one big beautiful place. The staff is so amazing the stylist that cut my hair was so good I was blown away that she was only a 4 month student. The obviously have great teachers. The front desk girl talked me into my first spray tan. OMG, amazing. Love this place will be back again and cant get over how nice of an experience I had when I least expected it. AMAZING!!!!

I dont know if the staff reads these or not, but they should! I went and got a haircut here for the first time on Saturday, the 13th of July, 2013. I was referred by a friend who knows one of the staff members (Erika W). Bridget (not sure how to spell her name but she had blonde hair and the cutest hot pink shoes) was my hairdresser and was fantastic. Im growing my hair out for my wedding and she was sure to not cut too much off and cut just enough off to get rid of my split ends. She gave me long layers and angled them at the front and they are perfect. The educators were really nice and one stepped in to help review my hair cut and fix ones or two things. Easily the best haircut experience Ive ever had and it was $10. You CANNOT go wrong.Oh, did I mention that I live in Montreal and will now be driving here (nearly 2 hours) for my future cuts? Yeah. This place rocks.

Ive always had a passion for cosmetology and upon graduation I decided to tour TSPA Altoona. My first impression of this school was fantastic. I was greeted immediately by the front desk staff with a smile and given a tour of the building. I then met with the education director to learn more information about the school and all of my questions were answered. I knew this school was the right decision for me from the moment I walked in here and all of the fellow students and educators made me feel welcome. I have attended this school for 5 weeks now and already learned so much. I would recommend this school to anyone trying to peruse a career in cosmetology.

I was so anxious before I started school at TSPA, but that was quickly forgotten due to the fact that I had such a warm welcome! The tour in the beginning and orientation with Ms Michelle went so smoothly and she was very enthusiastic about everything. The educators at the Salon are extremely helpful and ensure that you have a complete understanding of everything you are learning in the classroom, as well as the Salon floor. Even the atmosphere of the school is so upbeat and fun that you truly feel like you’re at a high end Salon. I’ve definitely made some life long friendships and I’m so excited to be attending TSPA Altoona!

This school is one of the best beauty schools out there. All of the staff an educators are friendly and helpful. They interact with all the students and never leave anybody behind. The classes cover so much material and the hands on practice is outstanding. The atmosphere is welcoming, making students and guests feel comfortable while they’re here. TSPA makes sure you’re prepared for your career in cosmetology before you graduate and even helps you build your portfolio along the way. Went in with my mom for an unexpected visit to get pedicures and we both fell in LOVE with the school. From viewing the website several times thats where I knew I wanted to start my career. Our TSPA educators are very helpful and are always there when we need them. Ive learned a lot over the past couple months and I cant wait to carry that education along with me in my future. TSPA is a forever family!

Choosing to take my cosmetology education at TSPA was one of the decisions Ive made. The staff is great, the other students are great, and most importantly the education is great!!

Before going I had bleached my hair, and it was in pretty fair condition, and I was happy with the blonde, but my mother wasnt, so i had the blonde in for 2 months and did many different treatements to it to make it soft and healthy, and it was. so when school came around again, i decided to dye my hair red. When i went the girl who did my hair, Hannah, seemed nice at first, but once she started doing my hair she wasnt gentle, and she started ripping combs through my hair, ripping pieces out, and the whole time telling me how bad my hair was. and mind you, i have thick hair thats about down to my waist, and she had ripped so much out, in one hour i was praying for it to be over. the whole time she was just insulting how my hair was and laughing to her friends about it. it was a horrible embaressing experience. I got charged 60$ to be made fun of, to have my hair ripped out, and in the end my hair was totally uneven. By the time i left i was virtually on the verge of tears. This is the worst experience i have ever had in a salon. I will not be returning, she ruined my hair and any self esteem i had left. if you are reading this, please take my advice, and just go to a real salon, and save your hair.
