Chris has been an outstanding teacher/mentor to my 8 year-old son who is learning classical guitar. Over the months of training I have not only seen my son improve in his technical ability to play the instrument, but also in his focus, discipline, and attention. Chris is at once encouraging, but also sets very clear expectations for the young student. It is a testament to Chris’s ability as a teacher that my son has an ever-increasing passion to learn and improve his ability to play musical pieces. Chris is tuned in to which musical pieces and skills motivate the student and is able to keep the assignments fresh and exciting. Chris sets challenging goals and helps the student gain the confidence to believe that he can accomplish them.

I have been taking lessons from Chris for about six years now. He is a fantastic teacher. He gives me challenging enough music so that I am always improving, but also lets me pick fun songs to learn so that I actually enjoy practicing.
