Great school, I highly recommend for anyone wanting to continue their education.

Dont waste your money and time here!!!

I’m Alaska native. I got my travel degree and was in the presidents honor roll. At that time prior to going to school we were asked to fill out our complete work history and that anything filled out will be saved throughout history for later use if needed. I recently called to take another class my native corporation will be paying for. I was told they would not except me for I had a warrant for my arrest. I went and found that the warrant they were looking for it had been dismissed. I tried for several months to contact Jennifer, the owner. I had decided not to go to school but had requested a copy of my graduation certificate and presidents honor roll degree and work history. She said she could no longer find such things but had sent me another graduation degree in its place with the wrong date on it. I did eventually find my original decree and presidents honor roll. I’m disgusted that they would not allow me to go to school again with a full scholarship and could not find any information on me ever going to that school before and my work history. As in Alaska native, take your training elsewhere !

Fair warning, you dont have any say in your class hours so if youre not a night person, and youre considering a program here, youll likely have night classes with no other option. Moreover, you will have your own experience if you choose to come to classes here.

I attended the Travel Academy between college in my late teens because of the reputation of training that came with job placement. Exciting to see that decades later they are now a college! People that attend ACC become networked for life. If youre searching for a private college with hands on learning, ACC may be a great fit. Ive known quite a few people that made the mistake of attending one of the other regional private schools in Anchorage and ended up leaving for ACC. (Have you seen the graduation rates of some other schools?) Look for those type of distinctions when choosing a school to attend. Some colleges have become so corporate in their culture that they lose the human factor. ACC owners and leadership are personally invested in their students. Excellent option for fast track, relevant learning!

I loved this college! The teachers are really invested in students! I did have an issue with some of the staff, but then environment was nice.My big issue with this college is that I asked multiple time before starting if my some or all credits would transfer to UAA if I decided to further my education. I was told yes multiple times that a portion of my credits would be accepted before starting and while attending. I was always given the impression that at leaste some of the credits would transfer over.Well I was informed today by UAA staff that absolutely none of the credits transfer over to UAA, but I could pay ($140-$160 per test) to test out if those classes so I would not have to repeat classes that Ive already completed. All I have to say is Shane on the previous staff that gave me the impression that at least some of my credits would transfer over now I am in debt for $20k to ACC and non of the credits transfer to UAA. I was lied to and dont appreciate it. I will take this as a life lesson.

Finishing classes in one week. My time here has been wonderful, I would recommend ACC to anyone!

This school is an unorganized joke. Dont waste your money. Theyll do things like charge 10k for tuition and then have the class watch Osmosis Jones. Or simply employ instructors that dont understand basic algebra. Having enrolled, and attended a good chunk of the CMA program, deciding to continuing my education elsewhere was the best decision I made in regards to ACC. After spending some time working in the medical field in Anchorage, I tend to doubt the capability of ACC graduates. UAA has a much better structure for this cert and your credits will be available to transfer should you seek to continue your higher education. Last I heard ACC only transfers credits to Wayland Baptist College.

Have a good variety of classes at a fair price
