Love learning how to briefly fly. I was able to take off and fly to the area we wanted to take pics. The pilot was very patience and kind. A great tour guide. It is a difficult experience flying in a small plane. Chad is an awesome guy. Cheyenne is a sweet heart.

As a former CFI for Land & Sea in 2018, I would like to say how much I enjoyed the company. Great staff. Excellently maintained aircraft by the owner who is a mechanic before a pilot, who keeps the fleet flying with ease. Great students as well. I enjoyed my time there and hope my students enjoyed mine!

Thank you Land & Sea Aviation Alaska staff members for the flight and thanks to pilot Mr. Jones for giving his time to fly with me. I enjoyed piloting and flying the Cessna aircraft. 5/5 A+ Great Business.

I was given the runaround by a CFI that saw me as a way to pad his time before going to an airline. CFIs are “wet” and inexperienced. Their prices may be cheap but you will spend more in the long run due to it taking more time to get your license because of their inexperience. On the other hand. Planes mostly seemed solid and we didn’t have many mechanical issues.

Land and Sea has been a great place to Insruct and rent planes. I have very much enjoyed working with many great students and coworkers. I would definitely recomend this place to all my friends.

I was called into military duty the morning of a flight. I notified the instructor, Jeff, two hours prior (literally a minute after I was notified that I was being called in) that I couldn’t fly. He replied with “I’m going to charge you a $50 fee.” I explained that it was an unexpected, mandatory duty that was out of my control. He said that if there was even a 1% chance of me being called in, don’t book him. I notified him that he should know that there’s always a chance of being called in by the military unexpectedly and because he’s clearly not military friendly (which he should know, having been in the military himself), I’ll be flying with the Aero Club instead. Aside from this incident, Jeff had been somewhat difficult to get ahold of. His instruction lacked direction. He became frustrated easily and carried on an unconvincing façade. Clearly he only cared about squeezing any penny he could and not about teaching students the joy of flight. This Part 61 school does not have a clear, defined itinerary. Students are just thrown to study what they can find, essentially.I am now attending a program that has actually been thought through instead of thrown together for an easy buck.
