My 12-year-old daughter has been studying trombone with Dan just short of two years. We wanted to supplement our school band experience as well as get more in-depth help with technique. I knew Dan personally before starting lessons and knew was a precision player and incredible all-around musician he was, as well as an experienced performer and a fine person. Id hear his fabulous tone and hoped my daughter could learn to do the same! She has been progressing extremely well under his teaching, and he has a passion for children as well as a commitment to high standards. He is patient yet pushes the student to achieve their best. Great instructor! I studied with Dan in high school, and went on to have an excellent professional career as a French Horn Instrumentalist with the US Marine Corps.

My daughter started lessons about 3 months ago. Since that time, she has made tremendous progress with her skill level on the french horn. She looks forward to her lessons and is challenged by the music selected to work on. Dans positive attitude and dedication is present throughout the sessions. I would highly recommend him for private lessons.

Dan is a fantastic teacher with so much knowledge. He taught me on drums for a few years and was very easy to get along with but also very intentional with his method of teaching. He is also a phenomenal instructor in all the brass instruments that he specializes in. My grandson Danny takes one-hour lessons from Dan Noraker weekly, and the progress Dannys made is terrific. When I asked Danny if Dan was nice, he said, hes demanding...and nice, which was the perfect answer in my book. Im very pleased with my investment in percussion lessons for my 14-year-old grandson (I was a drummer, too.). Dannys recent sets on trap for his schools jazz band concert were proof enough for me!

Our son has been taking lessons here for several years--well before Dan and Julie moved to Andover. As we havent gone anywhere else for private horn lessons, we dont really have much to compare our experience with. But Dan has always been accommodating with lesson rescheduling, etc and has made a few recommendations to improve our sons performance.

Dan is an accomplished musician and a phenomonal instructor! He took time to figure out how our son learned, and met him there. Dan is honest. He constantly challenges and encourages our son, and the result is that our son is a better horn player. Our sons successes on the horn are due to the instruction he has received from Dan.
