Just had my son’s 4th birthday party here today, and it was amazing! We had a smaller party with close friends and family, maybe 10 kids at the most—and everyone had a blast. The venue itself was very well equipped and had some of the extras that I forgot (like serving spoons.) They provide much of the table ware anyway. The party room was fantastic. But here’s what I noticed the most. The kids all had a great time with imaginative play, and enough space to run around and just have fun. The age ranges of the kids at our party were from 2-7 but I think kids of all ages would enjoy this place. My son who just turned four continued with imaginative play even when we got home and into the night—lots of make believe today—and we had NO MELTDOWNS. No fits, no temper tantrums. I’m wondering if focusing on more creativity and imaginative play would be helpful for us for managing behavior issues? I don’t know. But it was a wonderful day!I highly recommend this place, our experience with everything was fantastic!

Kidopolis is a hidden gem in Ann Arbor. Its a great place for imaginative play. There are beautiful rooms with hand painted childrens murals. My kids loved the costumes and stage props. This place really proves that you dont need giant slides and trampolines to have a great time with your little ones!

We visited today with our boys 5 and 3.The boys loved dressing up and putting on a show on the stage. The space is very comfortable, safe and fun for kids to use their imaginations. The space center was fun but I only saw 1 helmet. Some children were in there for a long time so I had to ask them to take turns. Our boys loved it, we would definitely come back.

We were very exited to try this new location. The price was great, but we were very disappointed. The toddler room has a sign on it that says 4 and under; my son is 19 months old and the children that were playing in the area were well over the age limit. Whenever he tried to touch things he was told no, and the kids let him play with a dishcloth *only*. Whenever we moved to another room, he was shoved out by other children. Didnt help that the parents didnt bother to tell the kids to share or let him play.I understand that some of these issues arent the places fault, but maybe some more regulation on the toddler room.

This is one of my favorite places ever, for myself and my kids. Kids get to use their imagination, which you cant get in sensory overloaded play places, which are fun, but draining! My children dont hit the wall here; they dont want to leave. I find it clean and relaxing, with coffee, and simple snacks for the kids. The owner is wonderful, and I feel like its more of a community small business, which I love. Check it out!

We like going here. I like the encouragement of imaginative play. We use the punch card, and bring our own lunches from home to sit at the tables provided. Its great. You may want to make sure you check the official website as the hours listed on google are not always accurate.

We had a fantastic birthday party here for my 4 year old. The play area is large, clean and has plenty of little play stations, like a space shuttle, or the fire station, or a boat/pirate island - and costumes! - the kids did not get bored for a second. Comfy chairs and couches for the grown ups. The party area is a separate large room. The owner Jessica is very helpful and took care of all the details setting up the place etc. Would highly recommend.

Im puzzled by the reviews. This is a office/showroom space converted in a playground in a very tight budget. Owners seemed to be creative but much of the play places were done with little care. The spaceship area lack of interactive features but it has a bunch of old tech stuff screwed to a table. It could be more educational. The beach area is quite simple. A setup for theater plays has costumes mostly around size 16, which is odd. The kitchen lacks of almost the basic things for pretend play. I couldnt find pans or pretend food. One fairy house area was pretty unused, yet it was pretty decorated. The police station area has a functional safe which was popular. However, most of the walls were bare. This is a lost opportunity to teach about community servers. The firefighters area was also basic. The most odd thing was the time travel ship. Honestly speaking I wonder who in the age range of the clients understand this concept.

My kids have so much fun dressing up and dancing on stage and blasting off with mission control and the spaceship there. I like that they get to exercise their imagination and just be kids and play. The first time we went it took a little coaxing by my 8 year old son for my 4 year old daughter to get active and play because she is used to passive entertainment on tablets and computers. Though, once she got the taste of how much fun she could have, she really got into it. It has now become an often requested activity with both kids asking when is the next time they can go again. 😁

I was a little skeptical when we first toured Kidopolis for my sons 3rd birthday party because it felt like there should be more things involved in an indoor play space. My husband, however, talked me into it and Im so glad he saw what I couldnt yet see! We invited a wide age range of kids, from 10 months to 8 years, and throughout the party it became very apparent that all the kids were having the BEST time. The place is effectively designed so that the little ones arent overstimulated, and really encourages kids of all age ranges to use their imagination. Both my 10 month old and 3 year old were SO happy and excited that neither wanted to leave. Well definitely be back to visit again soon!

We love Kidopolis! My kids (3 and 5) always have a blast with playing pretend here. Its always clean, and way less hectic than something like Jungle Java, for myself and my kids.Kidopolis is our favorite rainy day destination!

This is a large indoor kid city type themed play place. With large cubicle areas for each department. There is spacestation, fire and medic station, theater, forest, police department and others. My five year old and his six year old cousin had a blast playing the whole 3 hours we stayed here. Never once did they come over saying they were bored. They especially loved playing policemen and theater with lots of costumes for dress up. I did have to keep my eye on them so they played nicely with others. The entry price of $7 bucks per child is cheaper than other similar places I have been to. They dont require adults to pay or buy anything. The reason I gave it 5 stars was based on how much fun the kids had. There is lots of seating for adults.

We will not be coming back and will be telling our friends and family to STAY AWAY from Kidopolis.During our visit most of the children were running full speed around the entire play area and not even playing. The no running rule is a joke. The childrens adults (several families, not just one) sat out of sight, on their phones, ignoring their children. There was a lot of hitting, pushing and grabbing of toys without supervision. I was on edge the entire time literally guarding my child so that they wouldnt get ran into. Another child attempted to hit my child in the face, their adult was no where in sight, so we just packed up and left.As far as the choices go, I was also disappointed. There were very few toys in any of the areas (one cup, a plate and spoon in the play kitchen? What??!). All of the dress up clothes were for kids 8+ years.DO NOT go here. I have never left a negative review for a business before, but I was so appalled by Kidopolis that I had to post. Go to: Metropolitan Speech, Senory & ABA Center Play Place (Saline) and the Hands-On-Museum(Ann Arbor) for great indoor childrens play areas.

This place is so special! I take my twin 2-year olds about once a week and they love it. We go with friends who also have multiples and there’s more than enough room for everyone to run (which, with toddlers, is such a huge deal ❤️) The space is really thoughtfully designed, with lots of different spaces and props and toys for kiddos to get into, as well as comfortable chairs for grownups to sit in (and because of how the place is set up, you can actually SIT and still keep an eye on your kids! 🙌) One of my favorite things about Kidopolis is the unique, DIY vibe that it has: a rocket ship in the “time travel” area has an AbMaster for a seat, and old computer keyboards affixed to the wall for its control panels; the dress-up area and stage has real curtains and enough thrift-store beaded handbags that kids can’t possibly fight over them; and a “police station” with a desk and phone and a barred window that kiddos can peek out of. Photo ops and totally tuckered out kids abound - love this place!

Visited Kidopolis for the first time today with a moms group, and it was pretty unanimous that we loved it! We all have children around age two and they enjoyed the space for about 2-2.5 hours. They have a great fire station area, perfect for this age group to explore. The kiddos also seemed to really enjoy the little sandbox, kitchen area, and pressing all the buttons for the outer space area. I liked that there were not too many toys, and that the play area is designed to encourage imagination. We cant wait to return again soon! You can bring your own food (as long as its peanut free), which I appreciate, as many places these days discourage or do not allow your own food. There is also a group rate if you have at least 5 in your playgroup of $5, which felt like an appropriate admission fee.

We just had our 2yos party here today, and it was awesome! The owner was so sweet and there were many amenities provided like plates/cups/water/extra candles if we needed etc. We were able to come early and had plenty of time to set up.There was also plenty of space for 30+ppl and I love how you get the whole place to yourself. The play area is awesome and my son couldnt get enough of the keyboard/computers. Kids of all ages could have fun here.Very unique place, and we will be back again! 100% recommend! Thank you!

Well..it is too simple for preschoolers to play with.First of all, the imagination stages such as space, theater, fire station, and so on are not that cool for them. The stages were accompanied by some scrabs which would be obtained from recycling centers. Hands-on-museum would be much better for the real experiences for the preschoolers. There are no cafe, snack bar, or other convenient stuff for parents. $7 would be too expensive for the simple and not-that-decent stuff. One tip: this place would be relevant for toddlers under age 3...

This place is noisy, low maintenance and there was feces on the toilet seat! I went here for a party and it sucked! It’s also unsanitary with itchy clothing left for “dress up” and you can’t tell what’s a dress or skirt! I wore it and it was sooo itchy!
