I was charged this month for a membership that was supposed to end last month. I have called them 6 times over the past 3 days only to get the answering machine. I have left 4 messages at this point, and no one has contacted me. I am furious that they would break our contract by charging me after my membership was over, take my money, and then not have the courtesy to respond to any of my calls. The most unprofessional business I have ever been to. They should be ashamed of themselves.

If you have been on the fence - do it! It’s a decision you will not regret. The trainers are knowledgeable and care about you as a person and that you drill the techniques to get home safe. Great community of people. Don’t buy into the few negative reviews, if you pay when you are supposed to there aren’t any issues. Come join us and you’ll see!

I had been lifting weights for years and always avoided cardio because I viewed it as the opposite of fun. I saw that Krav Maga opened up here in Annapolis and thought I would give it a try. I was hooked from the first class! I wear a Fitbit to every class and average 900 calories per class! This is absolutely the most fun I can imagine while doing something healthy. The fact that Im also learning a valuable life skill is just the icing on the proverbial wellness cake. The instructors are terrific and pleasant, and the other students are kind and supportive. I love the fact that Krav Maga is a discipline that is easy to initially absorb, but is also challenging enough to take years to master. I dont see burnout or boredom ever becoming a possibility, which has kept me motivated for over 7 months now. Do yourself a favor and check out Krav Maga Annapolis!

Im doing the 6w challenge with Krav Maga and absolutely love this place. The classes are always different and fun. So many great instructors and so helpful to make you get better. I will absolutely sign up for a membership after my challenge is over. So worth the money, I feel so much more comfortable walking in the dark to work. I learned a lot just in a few weeks.

I have been to many fitness facilities over the years, but this place stands head and shoulders above your average gym. I was impressed by the trainers knowledge, and high level of professionalism. They will make sure that you get great results while minimizing the risk of injury by being attentive to detail, and by modifying exercises when necessary. I strongly recommend this facility!

So I recently visited this place(this week) and this is what I learned. Overall, it seems like it would be a great place to learn self defense and work out BUT the six week transformation isn’t free. They reel you in with the offer and gather all of your information. The ad says no gimmicks right. Let us use your success story and you can have this for free. They ask you a ton of questions: Why you want to lose weight, how are you eating habits , etc etc. After that you learn that it’s costs $599 to participate in the “free” week program. If you lose 20 pounds, Great you get your money back. If you don’t, you’re out of $599.However, you can participate in the challenge for “free” if you have a membership which cost $199 to join and $59 a week. That’s for 6 months. Approximately $1500 for a gym. You can only cancel the membership if you’re hurt or live 25 miles away.Ummm I’m sorry but that’s way too expensive. You can go to LA fitness, join for a reduced rate and get unlimited access to machines, classes, spa, sauna and track. Better yet, you can support your local personal trainer and try boot camp. Just saying.

These other reviewers are paid fake reviewers. They’ve written reviews for random businesses across the country for pay. Signed up and scheduled in advance for an advertised ‘Free 6 week Challenge’ and received a text saying it’s now ‘full’ the day before my confirmed appointment. What a gimmick.*Jiu Jitsu is far more practical while being built on a strong foundation of integrity- this, unfortunately, is lacking in many ‘martial arts’ these days.

KRAV MAGA OF ANNAPOLIS IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED TO ME!!!!I initially joined for the 6 week challenge and was immediately hooked. The challenge gave me the boost I needed to get myself on the right track to a healthier lifestyle. All of the instructors are amazing - motivating, positive and really make you want to give it your all and then some. The members have great attitudes and are always willing to help the less experienced. The best thing about it is the fact that it’s a “NO JUDGEMENT ZONE” which I have found to be extremely discouraging at the typical gyms. You walk away from every class having had a hard core workout with the additional benefit of learning to protect yourself and boosting your confidence.I highly recommend you take the opportunity to check it out - you won’t be sorry!!!

Do not sign up for this gym! They have no idea what they are doing in their billing department. I have been charged 5 times this month for membership. A hold I put on this account was not honored!

I attended one class on 7/31/19. Had a good time and signed up for a 6 month membership. The next morning I work up and couldent move my should. MRI confirmed I have a Torn Labrum in my shoulder. I emailed the membership director Mos Grimes who after a few verifications over rode the contract and closed my membership. So here is how this place works:1. It is more of a workout then a self defense class. Pretty similar to cross-fit as they have a schedule of classes based on 3 levels. They have classes for level one every day except Fridays and a few others scattered throughout the week. You will be exhausted at the end of this workout which is a good thing. Another good thing is you can at times move at your own pace. Good advice is take it slow at the beginning to conserve energy so you can finish the class.2. Your $60 A WEEK membership plus $199 set up fee allows you to attend as many of the classes as you would like. 6 month minimum commitment. There is no set plan for the classes as the instructors teach whatever they feel like each class on a class by class basis. You only ways out are to freeze the membership due to injury or travel or if you move more than 25 miles away they will allow you to cancel with 30 days notice.3. When you first start it is going to be very difficult. You are thrown into a class (even level 1) with almost everyone already been through months or years of the program already. It is intimidating and as difficult as you will fear. This approach is not really fair to you or to the more experienced people trying to get the most out of the class as you will feel like an idiot and slow the more experienced members down as most of the drills are done in groups or with a partner. Level one is a 4 to 6 month program minimum. Its the same curriculum and class each day weather you have experienced 4 sessions or 400.4. It can be hard to catch on to the drills and tactics. The drill is explained for 30 seconds then you are off. Which is my case was dangerous as I was exhausted, and encouraged to throw constant hard strikes during drill using improper form that lead to a serious and costly shoulder injury. I should have arrived at the class more prepared. Online basic instruction is a good place to start. It would be nice if they posted which techniques and drills were going to be used in each class so you can do some practice before arriving. This would also allow members to pick the classes in which they feel would benefit them most.If you are looking to start this I recommend going online and teaching yourself some basics first such as the fighting stances and how to do the basic strikes properly. This will make it a lot easier to catch on and lower your risk of injury. Also make sure you are in decent shape before arriving or you will be exhausted within the first 20 minutes. This is not something to just sign up for and jump into. As I learned the hard way there is a reason they make you sign a waiver before you begin. Going into a class like this is very dangerous and not for everyone.I am disappointed that I was unable to go to more classes due to injury. I am satisfied however that the membership team did not hassle me over the situation and keep my money when I could not train. This is a great workout and a good way to learn some self defense. I am looking forward to returning once I recover from injury.
