It’s no secret that Weems is the premier preschool in the area. It’s been around for decades. We are so thankful to be a part of the loving Weems community! This is a nursery school that aims to develop children into happy, empathetic, caring, individuals. I love that there is less focus on academics, and more focus on developing social skills and physical development through play. Weems has a saying about something along the lines of “how preschool was meant to be.” This literally sums up our experience at Weems. Even throughout the pandemic, we have been amazed at the sense of home and community that the school has created. This school maintains high levels of parental communication and engagement. As a military family that has moved all throughout the country, I can honestly say Weems is truly a gem of a nursery school! Without a doubt the absolute gold standard in the Annapolis area.

A wonderful place to send your child! Our is excited to go everyday and always comes out smiling. She lists her teachers as her “best friends” and comes home singing be songs, telling me things she learned and all about the fun she had each day!Would highly recommend.

Truly a hidden gem! The teachers and staff are all so wonderful, caring and invested. I couldnt ask for a better experience for my children. We are starting our third child at Weems next year and she already cant wait. Such a wonderful community of families that become friends.

Weems Creek Nursery School is more than a school; it is a community and a family. In this warm and nurturing environment, my son was able to learn and thrive. He will leave Weems and go off to Kindergarten fully prepared; educationally, emotionally and socially because of the truly remarkable people who make Weems what it is: the owner, the director, the teachers, the students and their parents. We will be forever grateful to be part of this family.

Weems Creek is what preschool was meant to be. A play based, screen free environment where the children learn responsibility, a sense of community, friendship, patriotism and a passion for reading- all while getting messy! Of course they develop pre/writing skills, math, art etc but its really about the social emotional skill building. The STEAM program was a wonderful addition this year. The curriculum was engaging, fostered independent thinking, and cultivated curiosity. We couldnt be more pleased with our experience here and know that our son is going into Kindergarten next fall, set up for success. The teachers are all so kind and genuinely amazing individuals. My only wish is that the school year went a little bit longer! If youre on the fence about sending your littles here, set up a tour. I guarantee youll feel the magic when you open the door.

Weems has been a dream come true for my family. Its all we hoped for and so much more for our childrens 1st school experience.
