We enrolled our daughter because we did not want her to distance learn in Kindergarten and this could not have been a better decision. From admin staff to the teachers, this has been a great experience. Our daughter thrived and has learned so much this past year. The experience has been so great that we are enrolling her for another year. Highly recommend.

Our son attended MRA from 18 months to 3 1/2 years. He LOVED his time there and so did we! The staff is caring, yet has reasonable expectations for the children. He learned an incredible amount in a very short time and was well prepared for Kindergarten. He was challenged to try new things and be a good friend. Definitely a great place for early childhood to supplement good parenting at home. Would HIGHLY recommend to al!!!

Both of my children attend this school. My oldest is almost 5 and has been there since he was 18 months. The staff is so friendly, the teachers are patient and will guide your child in the best possible way. The school is under new management and there have been many updates that have been done, and I think there will be many more to come.

This school is the best gift I can possibly give my children. The children get individual lesson plans and attention. They excel at their own pace so they can understand the material instead of memorizing things. I wish I had been taught the basics of math like this. The school environment is also amazing. There is no bullying, no testing pressure, no sitting in a desk all day. The elementary and middle school are so inviting, and all the kids work together to help and teach each other. My kids actually love learning because of Montessori Methods!

We just love this school. Our daughter is supported and her development nurtured. The teachers are so knowledgeable about child development and the classrooms and curriculum and crafted to support social and personal development. The children learn independence and are able to conduct themselves with grace and compassion. Our daughter has greatly benefited from this environment and loves attending.

A safe bully free environment that allows a child to grow and learn. MRS offers a unique education with learning experiences and opportunities that other schools do not. Small class sizes ensure that your child gets the help he needs. Our son has flourished here.

We started our son at MRS at 2 3/4 years old. We had been reading about the Montessori method of teaching, and visited the school with him during one of their open houses. We initially visited looking for preschools for the future, and were surprised when the staff told us he could start at such a young age. We enrolled him immediately, and I could not be more glad that we made the choice to send him to MRS.After just one year we have seen a significant change in both his behavior/social skills, and his aptitude. I had the fortunate ability to sit in and observe a class - one of the most impressive things about this school is the independence, yet structure, that children are given. Young kids in Childrens House (ages 2.75-6) have 2 full hours of independent and/or one-on-one time with teachers. The different activities (work) that children engaged in without direction at such a young age, and their ability to stay on task and disciplined in the classroom without much intervention from staff, was remarkable.I cannot wait to watch our son grow and progress in the Montessori schooling processes at MRS. We plan to place our youngest child there when the time is right for him. Five+ stars for this educational gem in Anoka.

After my son’s first year of preschool, his teacher told us he had made no progress since the beginning of the year. Having worked in the public school system, I knew my son would continue to struggle if we didn’t find something different for him. He was always resistant to learning new things and participating in group activities. He would pretend like he was doing what everyone else was to stay out of trouble. When I learned about Minnesota Renaissance School I was intrigued by the idea that my son would be able to learn at his own pace and would be doing individualized work. Within a few months of starting Minnesota Renaissance, he was starting to make progress on learning letters and became more willing to work on learning new things. By the end of his first year he was excited to learn and was always asking for new things to learn and for harder work. It is unbelievable to me what Minnesota Renaissance School has done for my sons love of learning and for his confidence.

Our child started at MRS is 6th grade. What a difference a year can make! If you like the idea of a non bullying, safe environment for your child to learn this is the place! The class size is small - the kids actually get individual attention from the teacher - no one falls thru the cracks! This style of learning and the opportunities the students are given to grow is incredible. We hope to see the program expand to 12 grade!

My daughter has been enrolled in the Toddler program at MRS for a little over a year. She is growing and developing at a rate that baffles our friends and family, to which we credit the Montessori teaching method. We couldnt be happier!

As a former student -I began in the Montessori program as an infant/toddler and continued in it, at this school ,for the majority of my educational career. As a former student, Montessori is the way to go and Minnesota Renaissance is the school to teach it. I remember growing up and excelling in not only academics and intellect, but also in practical life skills that put me a cut above the rest of my friends who were in a public school program. To be in the 3rd grade and be able to consciously be aware and extremely proud of how advanced I knew I was in math, reading, writing, science, public speaking, social studies, etc. is a feat not many young children are enabled to achieve in a public school program. This trend continued through out my entire career with MRS up through 8th grade. Paired with an incredible staff, sense of family and community, ability to succeed and excel as an individual, and personal coaching from excellent teachers (allowed due to small class sizes), I graduated from MRS in the 8th grade already far ahead of everyone else who I was to start 9th grade with in the public school system that up coming year. I ended up flying through high school; graduating early from advanced courses with an almost perfect GPA and scholarship to my dream school! :)Knowing that I had been given the best education possible from an early age enabled me to have the confidence to succeed, be independent, think truly for myself, and achieve a high level of appreciation for a personal level of intellect. I love to learn - I still love to learn. This is something Im proud of every day! This is the school I hope to send my own children too, a dream I will hopefully soon achieve as a new mom! :)Thank you MRS! For your dedication to excellent education, for your incredible staff, and for still teaching children the love of learning!

I am forever grateful that there are education opportunities like Minnesota Renaissance School. Montessori was perfect for my son, when public school just wasnt a good fit for his learning needs in elementary school.

From a Mom Who Went to Montessori. My daughter began in Miss Chars Childrens House on her 3rd birthday and will be turning 4 in a few weeks. We love the education she is receiving at MRS and I do say education because the children dont just play or hang out all day like many daycares or preschools, they actually aquire knowledge and learn HOW to learn. This week alone my daughter is working on not only basic math, reading and social skills but about the composers Wagner and Tchaikovsky. At roughly the same cost as any other all-day, full-day preschool (and much cheaper in the summer at only $125 dollars per week!) you cannot beat MRS in the NW metro.
