My daughter danced at Elevate prior to COVID-19. Beware of this studio! They have HORRIBLE management. I have been waiting for a refund for a cancelled competition from over a year ago. The owner Lisa, promised I would have my refund as soon as she collected this years fees from her current students. Elevate used credits to a competition (that were paid for by families who no longer dance at this studio) to send her current students to. This years season is over and still no refund. These fees are not just a couple of bucks, they are hundreds of dollars. I have never written a bad review in my life. I just felt it was necessary to warn others about this place.

Doing a fantastic job of teaching young dancers while working within CDC and State guidelines for Covid-19. My girls love their teachers and have fun while dancing. This is certainly not a high pressure studio and kids can be themselves here. Highly recommend!

I am a dancer at Elevate and I absolutely love it. I started dancing not too long ago and I feel like since my start, I have always been supported and have improved so much, over the past year especially. The environment has always been so kind and welcoming. The teachers encourage trying new things and always want to see us dancers grow while letting us have fun. All of the dancers and teachers are so kind and amazing. From choreography to technique, there are so many different reasons to love the classes. There were new classes added this year, even adult classes, I would say theres something for everyone! I would never want to go to another studio.

We have been with ELevate Dance since the opening. My three girls have been challenged to grow as dancers and have met that challenge. They love their teachers and the supportive environment that ELevate provides. All of our teachers are committed to helping our dancers reach their full potential. Health and safety precautions since the pandemic hit have been taken, and my girls have been able to resume in person instruction. We’ve lived other places and have been with other studios. Costume costs, recital, and competition fees are kept as low as possible. As a mother of five, protecting my children has always been a top priority. ELevate ensures age appropriate music and costume choices, and your child will not be sexualized, as other studios may choose to do. There is no other studio I would choose, and prior to coming here, we looked at many.

Was amazing! Took in my daughter who was deaf and found her a interpreter. Very accommodating and a family friendly environment. When one of the partners chose to leave, the current owner did a great job of filing her shoes with highly qualified teachers! Love this place!During COVID the owner had online classes and even a live recital that parents could attend. Always get good warm and friendly email updates from staff!

I have seen my daughter improve so much in the two years we have been with ELevate Dace. It is a family atmosphere and there is continuous support for the dancers from teachers, other parents, staff and students teachers. The addition of the new teachers and the studio’s resilience in dealing with the pandemic makes it an even better place for any dancer and the community. Make this studio your family’s studio!

Elevate is a wonderful dance studio with amazing teachers! My daughter has been a student at Elevate since it opened, and a student of Ms. Lisa for 5 years. Through the years, Lisa has helped my daughter learn not only the basics of ballet, but has helped her with her overall self-confidence and grace. My daughter also had the honor to be taught by Ms. Dana this year, and she has increased my daughters love for dance, and her maturity in movement and expression. Both teachers genuinely care for their students and would do anything to help them - both in dance and in life. Its a shame that the former co-owner left the way that she did. She broke the hearts of many of her former students and student families when she decided to leave so abruptly. In the end though, it has been an extremely positive change for Elevate, as it has eliminated negativity and tired choreography. The new and experienced instructors from diverse dance backgrounds have added even more creativity and passion. Beware of any negative posts about this studio, as they do not speak the truth - only the opinions of angry and hateful Dance Moms who are looking to place blame on others for their bad attitudes, and the poor decisions of the former co-owner. Elevate truly is an excellent dance studio for so many reasons, and I recommend them to everyone!

My daughter has been going to this dance studio since it opened and has absolutely blossomed under the instruction of Miss Lisa and Miss Dana. Their studio classes are very professional, yet have personal touches that help the dancers with confidence and grow with their abilities. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a dance home.

My daughter has been loving dancing with ELevate Dance since day one back in 2018. The owner Lisa and the amazing, caring, dedicated instructors (Laurie, Dana, Andi, Buzzy, Hannah, and Charlique) provide a positive and encouraging environment. My daughter has grown so much in this past season due to their mentoring and support. They have molded her into the incredible dancer she is. She is so excited to start her dance career at ELevate Dance as their newest instructor. We are incredibly grateful for Lisa’s commitment to her dancers, instructors and her studio during this extremely difficult time. ELevate Dance is a great place to grow as a dancer! We highly recommend it!

This studio is awesome and they make every child feel welcome. My girls love it here and they love Miss Lisa. Miss Lisa has allowed my oldest daughter with social anxiety to do things a little differently, at her pace, and this has helped her feel comfortable with attending class. I would highly recommend ELevate Dance:)

I have been dancing at ELevate since it opened in 2018 and I love it. I have learned so much from the teachers and assistants. I take 3 types of dance at ELevate and all of the teachers I have had are amazing! I have been dancing with one teacher for 5 years and I cant even tell you how much Ive learned from her. The other teachers have taught me so much and I get so excited to walk into the studio and dance in these teachers classes. I love ELevate and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to start dancing.

We went to ELavate with high hopes. Our original studio went bankrupt in June 2018. Two of the teachers took a leap of faith and opened ELevate. We gladly went with to keep some continuity. Our daughters had taken from one of the teachers almost exclusively for 6 years at that point. Our exposure to the other teacher during those 6 years was basically zero as she was the “littles” intro pre-ballet and tap teacher. To get the new studio up and running quickly they asked us to put in some sweat-equity and we did so gladly. We painted and cleaned and donated furniture. At one point, we were asked to sell candy bars to raise money for a Marley Floor. We did it ALL for unity and we did it because these two women had stepped up to take a risk.Year one was ok until the end. The “littles” teacher had branched out to teach some of the older classes (out of necessity). Her choreography and teaching style left a lot to be desired. My 12 year was humiliated in a class right before the recital as the teacher asked the class to imitate my daughter’s facial expressions to show her how “ridiculous she looked”. I complained and was told that by this teacher that this is how she had done it for years with no complaints. (Keep in mind she only taught younger children up taught this point) A few weeks later I was called into a meeting saying it was my child who was the problem, because she voiced her opinion about the choreography to other the students. Funny how this had never been brought up until *I complained* about her treatment at the hands of the teacher. We should have left then, as the environment felt toxic at that point. But again, we stayed for the other owner.By October of 2019 there was a marked change of tone all around. Unbenounced to us, the owners were having disagreements behind the scenes. By January 2020, the owner who had the most dance and teaching experience, the one we had almost 8 years of history with by that point, was forced out. There was no explanation given. Her classes and competition teams were taken over by first time teachers without the skills to hold together a team of tweens and teens. Other classes were given over to high school students to teach. Once the more experienced teacher/owner left the quality of the instruction and choreography plummeted. Dances were changed weeks before a competition by the new teachers/coaches and the atmosphere was toxic. The communication from the now sole owner was scant. Schedules changed without warning or explanation and sometimes with zero notice. Classes started late and ended early or were taught by older students when the teachers would fail to show up. Questions went unanswered. Discussions by the owner and business manager about other parents and dancers were regularly held in common areas within earshot of all.As of today, we are still waiting to receive refunds on the hundreds of dollars of fees we paid for dance competitions that were cancelled. The competition companies issued credits for future dates to the studio, but the studio refuses to refund to those of us who left once the pandemic started. They are keeping the money is rolling it all together. In other words, our fees will continue to subsidize their current dance team. There are so many other choices of dance studios in Lake County. This one is not a pick. If you still choose this company, watch your pocketbook. In our experience they overcharged for costumes and competitions. Where does the extra money go?Also, still no Marley Floor.
