Needs better equipment for the playground, they actually dont have much of one. Has a good principle and some good teachers who stick around. However, for every old teacher they have a high turn around for younger teachers. Small class rooms but small class sizes. Technology could be better and they need more tutoring but I know they try but not a lot of $$. Some good people there that really do try and care about the kids.

My daughter hates this school every day of the year she has cried about something. Teachers favor sertin students they dont do much about the problem between kids. Just call it girl drama. My daughters grades have dropped big time her teacher hardly ever gives out homework or spelling words, now how are they gonna learn to spell if they dont do spelling. Its always something Will not be going here next year......

The teachers at Avalon ate great! They really care about the kids they teach.

I went there k-3 and the teachers where great. But when I came back in 5-6 it went down hill the only good worker at avalon is Mrs Stacy but the rest used to abuse the students like me I was pulled so hard that the pain was there for 4 weeks and the 6th grade teacher Mrs Simpson diddnt teach at all she will yell at us all the time one she left bruises on a kid because he wouldent walk fast enough she yanked me by the collar on my shirt and I couldnt breath and they never cleaned anything even after cockroaches infested the school the teacher will loose stuff and blame it on the students to get free things I would not recommend this school at all this shouldnt be a school

I switched my daughter over to avalon from desert vista and in just one month saw a huge improvement not only in her school work but her actually liking school! She had such a bad experience at desert vista in first grade the teacher was horrible and the school wouldnt do anything but avalon changed that she loves the teachers!
