My kids 3 kids take drum, vocal, and guitar lessons at the music and rock school. It has been an amazing experience. They started at ground zero and now one year later we can jam as a family. It has been so much fun!! I recommend them to anyone looking to get into music or take their skills to the next level.I’ve been playing guitar for 25 years and I could learn volumes from the instructors at the music and rock school, yet at the same time the instructors can relate to beginners. Hard to beat.

Our teenage daughter has been taking guitar lessons at Music and Rock School for about three years now and has taken voice lessons too before that and she absolutely loves it here. Jacob teaches her guitar and is an amazing teacher. If we have to reschedule a class due to another conflict, they go above and beyond to accommodate the class on a future date. All the teachers are so friendly with kids and provide a relaxed environment for them. We highly recommend Music and Rock school for all our friends.

Love the relaxed but professional atmosphere in the office. All the staff are very nice and friendly. Our son loves going to guitar lessons with Jacob. He is learning a lot and at the same time allowed to explore music that interests him. Teachers are patient and thoughtful towards their students. Very happy to have found Music and Rock School.

Awesome music school for people of all ages. My daughter has been taking guitar lessons here for about 2 years now. She came in not knowing anything about guitar and her passion for it has grown tremendously. The teachers are awesome. Very friendly and they let the students take part of their learning process like for example, letting them pick the music that they want to play.Also, the teachers are very patient. At least, that has been my personal experience. I took guitar lessons here as well for a while and my teacher was very patient with me.I love the semester concerts where any student can take part if it, regardless of skill.I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn as well as having fun while doing it.

My daughter (and I) have been taking lessons here starting around the first year they were in business. Our experience and results has more than exceeded our expectations. The teachers are top notch qualified musicians with lots of patience and experience. The Masters Program and All Access Program are also lots of fun. You get to play with other students (and sometimes the teachers) in a band rehearsal setting, and that experience you just cant beat. The twice yearly concerts are also a great way to show off your skills. If you want to learn Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards or Vocals, this is the place to go.

We had a great experience. Unfortunately, my daughter has too many school obligations. We both recommend this school. Jacob, is a great instructor. When my decides she can manage her school work, we will definitely re-enroll. Thanks Jacob!

Great teachers who work really well with kids and beginners! My daughter is 8 years old and loves her music lessons. The lessons are geared to keep kids interested in music, they get to pick a song that they want to learn and its incorporated into the lesson, which is a great change from only learning the typical beginner songs that theyre not passionate about. We love this music school and highly recommend you check it out!

My son has been taking electric guitar lessons here for almost a year and loves it. He looks forward to going every week. As a parent, I have also enjoyed his lessons because the instructors are so friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible when scheduling issues occasionally arise. I truly feel my money is well spent here and highly recommend.

I have been taking guitar lessons at the Music And Rock School for about a year now and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. I had been struggling with learning the guitar for about 15 years before joining the school. Trying to learn scales, simple riffs and songs. Id get discouraged and put the guitar away for a couple months before reluctantly picking it back up and trying again. Everyone told me to take some lessons. Finally I picked up the phone and called Jacob at the School. He set me up with my AWESOME instructor, Sean. With Seans patience guidance, I can say that I have advanced more in 1 year than the previous 15!! Only wish I had called sooner! Now I LOVE my guitar.These guys ROCK!!!

If you are looking for a great place to take music lessons then I highly recommend checking out Music and Rock School in Apex. My daughter has been a music student there for several years and she loves it. Although they are serious about music, it is a casual atmosphere with instruction tailored towards what the student wants to learn how to play. They also organize optional band activities for students to play together outside of regular lessons. It is a fun, stress-free place, and the thing my daughter looks forward to the most each week. She plays guitar but they offer lessons for all types of instruments.

We have three sons, ranging in age from 7-11, and they all take lessons at Music and Rock School. Two of them get piano instruction, and one is learning the drums. They actually look forward to their lessons each week, and that makes us very happy. The instructors are very friendly, and keep things fresh and interesting. Weve been there for almost a year now and would highly recommend.

MARS has definitely shaped the trajectory of his musical being - he takes both weekly drum and bass lessons with excellent, caring and FUN instructors.Prior to forming his own band with friends, he was afforded many opportunities to perform in a band setting at various venues around the Triangle through MARS recitals and their band performance training programs. We highly recommend MARS lessons, their Masters Program and All-Access Program to anyone interested in improving on their instrument and/or getting to experience group performance dynamics. Those who have followed our recommendation over time have happily become long time MARS students as well.

I have been taking guitar lessons at the Music and Rock School for 18 months. The instructors are extremely knowlegeable and personable. I feel that they enjoy what they do and truly care about teaching music and music theory. The school offers many opportunities to perform solo or within a band setting. I highly recommend the school for anyone new to music or for those that want to get off the plateau and reach the next level.

My daughter recently started taking piano lessons and loves it. We started at only 30 minutes per the schools recommendation, she already wants to go to a minimum of 45 minutes. That says it all for a 9 year old!

My 12 year old daughter is a guitar student at Music and Rock School and we are having such an awesome experience there. She came to the school a little over a year ago with about 3 years of prior lessons and a bit unsure about starting at a new place. She was very comfortable at MaRS right from the first lesson! They have great teachers that offer a welcoming approach with students. The atmosphere there is the perfect balance between professional and artistic. They offer flexibility while working with you towards your goals.In her own words....I really love having guitar lessons here. The teachers make sure that the students feel comfortable and are happy with the situation. It is a great enviorment and the teachers make it easy for you to ask questions. The teachers give the students their full attention and are able to combine learning new things with some of your favorite songs.

Our son started with Music and Rock School (MaRs) when he was 12. At age 16, he now teaches beginning guitar at his high school and receives honors credit for doing so. I attribute his passion and success to the instructors at MaRs. They are truly professional and their summer camps cannot be beat. My son had been taking drums lessons for several years and needed a change from “sheet” music to actually playing songs. Switching to Music and Rock School has been a wonderful experience. Not only does he now takes drum lesson w/ Theous who expands his horizon by introducing contemporary fusion and jazz, he is also involved with the school’s All Access program where he meets w/ his band once a week. The school even arranges students to play at venues such as at Apex Peakfest and Tir Na Nog. The Music and Rock School is awesome and sure does the title of “one of the best places to broaden your horizon” and I highly recommend them!
