Its a great gym/dojo. The location recently had some renovations going on. The gym looks bigger and it has more space for training the kids and has a better look. The owner has a great sense for dicipline and hard work. Kids here learn to be accountable for their actions as well for their decision making. You can come here knowing that you kid will learn valuable skills. Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, kickboxing and MMA. I recommend it.

My daughter has been a student for more than 3 years. She loves it and is very happy. All the instructors are pleasant, kind and very professional. I remember that I was very picky on trying to find the right place for my daughter to attend her karate lessons and when I met Mark, he was very informative. I love that they offer so many classes for the children to learn, you cant beat the price for all the lessons. Great school!

It is an honor training and teaching here, we have a large staff, who are trained by the best and we dont focus on some of the kids we focus on each individual to make sure they have learned what they need to.

I have been teaching Martial Arts here for 2 years now. I have been lucky for travel slot, and have trained in many different gyms, some in other countries. Its rare to find a gym with a full staff who do so much for the kids. Unlike many places, we teach a full curriculum, and a work ethic that is usually lacking in most places. I am proud to be apart of this training center.

My son started in April and to me It says a lot about an after school program and summer camp when he cant wait to go back each day. He loves all the staff and tells me he has the best time there. Not to mention he cant wait to make yellow belt so he can start sparing!😆

Our 8yr old son has been going here since he was 5, both as in after school and during the summer. I know the owner Mark Kern honestly cares and is vested in the well being of the kids that attend his school. The instructors are a reflection of Mark and we cant say enough great things about them. The school takes its instruction seriously while making it a fun and engaging place for kids to learn and thrive. Our son is learning karate, jujitsu and now even the katana! We would recommend them to anyone

My two boys joined Cooperative Spirit Martial Arts in August 2018 with little to no knowledge of self defense and a little on the chubbier side. My oldest had a couple incidents of defending his friends against bullies but then did not know how to defend himself. My other boy is small and thin for his age. My husband and I decided to give Cooperative Spirit the opportunity to help us care for our boys after school and teach them martial arts. Our goal was to help them understand how to defend theirselves. My two boys had two classes every weekday. They learned Shito Ru and Jujitsu. The instructors were great with our boys and helped them adapt and learn a new art. Luckily our children are quick learners and athletic. Since August my boys have learned to defend themselves, learned routine, respect, and many other valuable skills they will need throughout their lives. Through their training they have also become more fit and agile. The most important thing is that my boys have now become a part of this dojo and feel welcome, accepted, and as if they are family. My boys have advanced significantly and are now taking three of their classes. They have competed in a tournament with other children their age and have placed first through fourth in their skill sets. Another one of my goals was to help provide an outlet for my oldest. He tends to carry things and hold them in. At Cooperative Spirit he is able to release this and is always welcome to talk as needed with any of the staff about his struggles, if needed. I have asked my child where he thought he may be had we not opted to place him with Cooperative Spirit. He very surely told me that he would have been suspended from school and in trouble all of the time. My husband and I have since enrolled my youngest, our daughter, and I myself will soon be joining in the Fight 2 Fit class and kickboxing for adults. For my youngest, she is only 4 and I look forward to seeing her grow into the arts and become a confident fighter. As for myself, I can hardly wait to become a better me! Without Cooperative Spirit, my family would be at a loss. I truly believe that this organization is a benefit to my children and to our community!

The owner is a money hungry liar! He talks down to special needs children. He told my child he would train him but, all he did was take my money and then refused to train him due to medical reasons he already knew about! he test his students before he should just to keep making money. I would never send anyone to this mans place he is a joke!
