My 5 year old absolutely loves his little champs class. His instructors are so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Their prices are so reasonable and their schedule makes it easy to fit into my busy days. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking to get their children involved in martial arts.

Gracie Apple Valley was very welcoming from day one of checking their gym out. Johnny (the owner) was extremely friendly and took the time out of his busy schedule to personally give me a tour of the entire facility. I only got 4 days into the 10 day trial before I made up my mind I wanted to sign up. I absolutely love Gracie Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley. Jiu Jitsu has become apart of my life and has improved my confidence in such a positive way. The mat is always clean and was recently improved with additional padding. All of the instructors, Johnny (owner), Aaron, and Dylan are awesome and knowledgeable. I am on my 3rd stripe and I am determined to complete the beginner curriculum so I can enter master cycle. Also, I love that this gym has a ZERO BULLYING POLICY. There is no beating up on the new guy or hazing whatsoever. My wife takes both Women Empowered and Combatives and loves them both. This is street fight self defense, not sport Jiu Jitsu. I dont know much about the Jiu Jitsu aspect of this place, as I am not trained, but I do know this: We have been taking my step son here for a year now and its great. He loves it. Such a positive environment here with a really clean and professional space. Their instructor for the smaller children really understands children and how they learn (Aaron). I think anyone who can get a room of 5 year old kids to pay attention is a saint. So much patience and always knows what to say. Very age appropriate learning as well from things like the techniques they use, to the behaviors they want to encourage back at home. They teach peaceful values and encourage the kids to be their best. The pricing here is very fair as well.

I just had my first lesson today, and I left the establishment feeling so confident and content. The atmosphere is so positive and helpful. Being a new student seemed intimidating in my head, but as soon as practice started I felt very welcome. I honestly cant wait to start my journey here :)

Ive been rolling around on the mat pretty much all my life. When I was looking at getting back into Jui Jitsu I looked around at a few places in the HD and thought Gracie Jui Jitsu would be my best fit... and I was spot on. The structure and amount of classes is awesome. Instructors experience and ability to teach are top notch. All the drills/moves are explained throughly, demonstrated and individually overseen so those minor tweaks and adjustments are accomplished. All the moves learned have a purpose and is based on self defense not sport competition. Programs also include kids and womens only. Highly recommended as there is a 10 day trial period for trying out as well.

This is an awesome place with great coaches and partners, which makes them one of the most successful jiu jitsu gyms around, and they have been rated best martial arts gym in the desert two years running now. I moved the entire family here a year ago and it was the best decision. I cannot say enough positive things about Gracie Apple Valley. Best of all you learn street self defense techniques in combatives that can be applied right away. You will get great exercise and actually have fun doing it. Since the whole family does it together, it is a great bonding experience as a family and Johnny and Aaron make it a super fun, safe, and a family friendly environment. I brought my children to check out the Combatives course after finding the Gracie university Jiu Jitsu Apple Valley school vía the Apple Valley Parks and Rec Fall Recreation Guide. They took a few classes and felt awkward at first, but the instructors and their classmates made them feel welcomed and at ease. It felt like we were joining a family. We tried the 10 day trial and they really enjoyed it after the first few classes. The instructors are great! They take the time to explain and demonstrate the techniques. They have credentials via the Gracie University Jiu Jitsu. I definitely recommend coming here if you are interested in learning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for self-defense.

Great family here at Gracie!! The kiddo loves it and wants to come everyday if she could. I brought my daughter to this gym not knowing what to expect. My daughter is a lil shy and is not used to going to places where so doesnt know anybody. And being the new person to the group I can see she was a bit nervous. But when we got there the instructor Jonny took time to talk to her to explain the class and get to know her better. This place is legit! Johnny is a amazing instructor and how he teaches is phenomenal. He breaks it down to “ your “ level of learning. I visited numerous gyms before selecting this gym. Some I felt the egos before I even push the door open. Some were not very friendly. Some you could tell hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Some just pushed sport jujitsu. None of those fit the needs or my wants. I was looking for a family friendly, clean , self defense. After researching Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Apple Valley and realizing this program is from the direct lineage from the Gracie’s , the creators of Jiu-Jitsu and the UFC. I knew this was a no brainer. While visiting this gym, first thing I notice was a mat that said, leave your ego at the door, It was very clean, very forgiving mats , the students all came up to me introducing themselves, treated me like I was family immediately. What was also amazing to see was that he recommended another gym for a guy that wanted more sport jujitsu than self defense aspect.( who does that??) Johnny answered all my questions and more. He gave me a 10 min hands on introduction and was amazed that I was unable to get him off of me. I’m in Law enforcement, weighed 220 lbs and am a gym rat. I signed up that day. He offered 7 days free trial but I knew this was the self defense gym I was looking for. This gym displayed alot of respect, wasn’t pushy. I’ve never been to a gym like this in the high desert.Another cool thing that I did not know was I could go to any Gracie CTC gym in the world as well as the main acedemy in Torrence, which Johnny attends and learns under the Gracie’s and Alex Stewart. Their combatives course teaches you the essentials to protect yourself and your loved ones during an unavoidable confrontation. My son is turning 5 next month and I will signing him up for the Bully Proof Class. Very important to teach them self confidence at an early age and I look forward to continue my journey of personal growth alongside Jonny and Aaron. I cant thank them enough
