We completed five dance lessons at Pivot Ballroom with Monika prior to our wedding. The studio was quick to respond to our request for lessons and scheduled a time that fit both our busy schedules. My wife and I had a blast working with Monika. Each lesson was fun and engaging. She is very knowledgable about multiple styles of dance and was able to tailor the choreography to our skill level. On the wedding day our first dance was a better received than we could have hoped. We had so much fun through this process that we decided to continue our dance instruction with Monika. If you are a couple considering a choreographed first wedding dance, we give Monika and Pivot Ballroom our highest recommendation.

John made the sessions instructional but also a lot of fun! He listened to our song and designed a dance that was unique to us. I recently took lessons with my dad for our father-daughter dance at my wedding and we had the BEST experience at Pivot Ballroom thanks to our instructor John. I am not someone with dance experience but John was so enthusiastic and encouraging that I felt like a professional dancer at the end of every lesson! John was exceptionally patient and accommodating - my dad was dealing with some medical problems at time and John not only choreographed our dance perfectly to accommodate this, he even offered to dance with me at my wedding if needed. I cant imagine there is a better and kinder teacher out there.

John was such a pleasure to work with. He prepared us to dance at a wedding within the short amount of time we had. He taught us dance steps that we could practice on our own and enjoy doing. The quality was far superior to dance lessons we had taken previously at a different dance school.

Pivot Ballroom, in particular Marissa, did a fantastic job with helping us on our first dance for our wedding. She helped choreograph the whole thing and gave us tons of pointers to make us completely comfortable on our big day. By the end of our sessions I even learned how to move my hips... which was a big feat, so props to Marissa! Great experience and would highlight recommend. Thanks Pivot!

My now husband & I had the most magical experience at Pivot Ballroom! My very best friend paid for us to have lessons before our first dance at our wedding (which she sang for us!). From day one we felt so blessed to have Monika as our teacher! She is such an incredible woman, beautiful on the inside & out! She was so lovely, fun, charismatic & made the whole experience a wonderful memory & a great time! My husband & I had never danced a day in our lives so we were super nervous, but Monika made us feel so comfortable & relaxed! We looked forward to seeing her at our weekly lessons! She made it so much fun! Her choreography for our 5 minute dance was incredible & was a huge hit at our wedding! My guests felt like they were in a movie & said it was the most entertained they had ever been at a wedding!!! Cannot say enough amazing things about Pivot Dance & the amazing Monika!!! We had the absolute best time here at the Pivot Ballroom with John! He was an amazing dance instructor, and helped us to choreograph the perfect dance to the most perfect day. We only had about a month to practice before the big day, but John accommodated us and kept us on track to finish just in time! He was always upbeat and moved us along at the exact pace we needed. He taught us the basics and gave us some options we could choose from so we could kind of build our own dance as we wanted it. We now know a decent amount of rumba, and cant wait until we can make it back to learn some more!

My wife and I had an amazing experience with John at Pivot Ballroom preparing for our wedding dance. I went in absolutely nervous because at best I had two left feet but John was able to work with us and made learning to dance surprisingly fun.I would recommend him to anyone and everyone, especially those who don’t like to dance because he can work with any talent level. We began taking dance lessons with John a couple of months before our wedding. My husband had some formal dance training several years ago and I took a few dance classes in my life but nothing formal. As you can imagine, we were nervous about making our debut as husband and wife with nonmemorable/subpar dancing! John at pivot ballroom is truly amazing. I have never had formal dance training and decided to take dance classes before my wedding. John was able to choreograph a dance for me and my wife that looked great and wasn’t to complicated. He made me feel comfortable with my first dance In front of a crowd and was very encouraging throughout the entire process. I took dancing classes at Pivot Ballroom to prepare for my wedding (Mother-and-Son dance and Bride-and-Groom dance). I purchased the 5-class package and Pivot allowed me to split the classes so I could practice with both my mom and my wife. We came into the classes with our songs already decided and Christabel helped us develop a full routine in no time. Christabel was extremely sweet and patient with us and continued to offer tips throughout the entire process. If there were certain moves that we didn’t feel capable of doing, Christabel gave us easier alternatives. My wife and I did a special mix-up for our first dance and we were intimidated by needing to learn two separate dances within a month. However, Christabel made things simple for us and inspired us to practice throughout the week. She kept her schedule very flexible for us and we were able to prepare for our dances within 2-3 before the wedding. It eventually took about 3 or 4 classes for my wife and I, and about 2 or 3 classes for my mother and I to feel comfortable with our dances. Pivot was generous enough to offer us additional classes at a respectable rate until we were comfortable. We received so many complements about our dances and the experience helped make us feel more comfortable on the wedding day.. and it was all thanks to Christabel’s help! I would definitely recommend using Pivot Ballroom to take dance classes!

My husband And I took dance lessons before our wedding. John was great, fun and really easy to work with. We had no dancing experience at all and he made it seems easy. He also choreographed a dance exactly how we wanted. Nothing too fancy or over the top, but it was perfect. We got so many compliments on our dance. My husband and I are so happy that we found Pivot Ballroom! We started our dance lessons in order to have a choreographed first dance, but we got so much more than just dance lessons as it was a fun, romantic and engaging experience overall. Sandra is fantastic to work with. I searched for someone to instruct me in a Father, Daughter dance and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with her at Pivot Ballroom Studio. She is very professional, thorough, fun and patient. She also worked to choreograph the routine which is very nice. My daughter loves her as well and we had eight lessons together insuring that everything will go great on her special day. I have enjoyed it so much that I’m now taking both private and group lessons to learn more dances than the waltz. I highly recommend Sandra and her studio. Hope this is helpful. Main Line Ballroom is an excellent place to learn modern ballroom dance, for beginners to very advanced dancers, singles or couples. The instructors are among the best in the U.S., even world class. They are very hard working professionals who use their life-long training to bring their students to the next level. I have taken lessons there since it opened, both group lessons and private lessons. There is a friendly and supportive social atmosphere that makes learning fun, and that I look forward to coming to each week. I especially want to acknowledge Lana Rossi for her excellent instruction. I’ve taken lessons from Lana for three years and she has helped me progress from a beginner to a confident dancer. Social dances are actually enjoyable now, rather than something to fear, and I’ve also been able to experience the excitement of pro-am dance competition. Lana has encouraged and supported me throughout the whole process. She has a true gift for coaching that comes from her wisdom and experience, technical expertise, passion, creativity, and intensity. She has the ability to assess and work with the capabilities of her students to bring out their best. It’s been a privilege to dance with her, and I would recommend to anyone thinking about dance instruction to take the opportunity to learn from best right here on the Main Line.

I started taking lessons from Sandra Dee about 3 years ago. I primarily wanted to learn the Waltz but Sandra also taught me Rumba, Tango, Foxtrot, a little bit of Salsa and some East Coast Swing. Her attention to detail is amazing. I have also taken lessons from two other well-known Studios and I can tell you that you will not find a better dance instructor than Sandra. If you would like to learn ballroom dancing this is definitely the place to be!

My fiance and I took dance lessons with Sandra Dee leading up to the our wedding. And can I tell you it was worth every penny. Sandra was patient with us (DANCE IS HARDER THAN IT LOOKS!) and she had fun with us! We not only gained some amazing dance moves but gained a friend in Sandra. A beautiful ballroom dance studio in Ardmore that is owned and operated by highly talented professional dancers. I take both private and group lessons there. You can learn to dance there at every level, ranging from beginner to advanced, with or without a partner. It is also possible to take lessons to prepare for a wedding dance. The level of instruction is of the very highest quality and they teach both American and International styles of dance. There are social dance parties held every other week that are open to the public and are a lot of fun as well as Hustle/West Coast Swing and Argentine tango parties.

My fiance and I took some pre-wedding dance lessons with John and Jenn. They were both so fun, friendly, and easy to work with. They were super dedicated to making sure we were comfortable with what we were learning and mastered our steps. We felt confident we would rock our first dance and are so grateful for their time and expertise. I would highly recommend any form of dance with them!

We signed up for dance lessons for our first dance and the dance blew my family away. So many people were crying during our dance. Everyone at the studio was so nice. They let us come when ever we wanted to practice in the studio. People even stayed late just so we can practice as much as possible since we were on a time crunch. If your looking for a place to learn, this is the place.

This dance studios are the best that Ive seen in the Pennsylvania. I really like many things in this studio. Such as, beautiful studio design, friendly classmate, and nice group class.The instructors in this dance studio are awesome. They show me how to dance properly.

I wanted to attend group classes, however, the service was horrible. I didnt get any useful information regarding the enrollment. I eventually decided to try it out but the class that I attended was fast pacing almost rushed through. I felt lost and uncomfortable. I will not return to that school and I do not recommend it.

Best dance lessons! My fiancé and I started by taking private classes downtown and had an awful experience. We quit after 5 lesssons and decided to give it another chance at a new studio. What a difference!!! Nikka was amazing! She made it fun and listened to our ideas and choreographed the perfect dance for us based on our strengths and weaknesses. Our wedding was 2 days ago and we killed it in the dance floor. We got so many compliments on the dance. Thank you nikka!
