The staff was great with my kids and I was honestly very happy with the lessons. However, due to scheduling conflicts and health problems, I had to withdraw from the class back in August. Since it was after the 1st I still had to pay for August and I totally understood and followed their protocol to make sure that I would not get charged in September. One of my children could no longer participate in swimming so now the one child that did had makeup tokens that I can no longer redeem because he is not enrolled? Now September they have charged me AGAIN! When I called to come up with a solution they tell me its my fault when I followed their instructions! Im very disappointed and feel like they stole my money. When I talk to them on the phone all I am told is that its on the policy I signed, however when I spoke to the front desk in person about the issue I was given very different instructions leading me to believe otherwise they played me! I do not recommend this place at all they will lie to you just to keep your money!

We have two kids at Goldfish. Our youngest has gone from hesitant about being in the water to swimming freestyle and backstroke confidently and she improves each and every week. Our oldest came in as a developed swimmer and with Swimforce she refined her technique and increased her endurance. She is trying out for her first competitive swim team next week and feels super confident going in! They’ve also been terrific with safety protocols during COVID which we appreciate immensely.

I enrolled my 2 year old daughter in 2 swimming classes to try them out. The first class seemed okay but the second class was just horrible! The instructor would get frustrated with my daughter when she would grab a toy to play or start to splash in the water and would tell her things like no stop even though it was only her and the instructor! I was really appalled how she was dealing with a 2 year old. When I went to get my daughter after the class she told her go to your mom and turned her face away from me and grabbed the next child that had a class with her. I was shocked honestly with the way she acted! I called the school to explain to them what happened and to let them know I had a bad experience but all they said was okay we will cancel your next class! They didnt even bother to apologize.I definitely will not be coming back and will not recommend this place to anyone I know.

Very friendly and caring staff. They always greet you with a smile on their face and they care enough to learn the kids names. Instructors make their classes fun and my kids are always looking forward to their swim practice now.

My son Kaiden took the jumpstart classes at this place. After one week they told me he needed to work on floating backwards, but everything else was great, so they suggested I put him in another week of jumpstart. So not only did I put him in another week of jumpstart here, but I also put him in a another swim school for a second opinion. Well after another week at this swim facility, they did not push Kaiden through and said the exact same thing, but here’s the problem, after just one week at the other school, they said Kaiden was great and already has pushed Kaiden to the next level. This facility seems like a rip off in my opinion. The life guard that does the testing is horrible. I’m not sure if this life guard test every child but I know she’s tested mine both times. I was ok with the results from the first session, but to have the same results after another full week did not sit well with me, especially when another swim school says he’s good enough to proceed. Seems like they want to keep charging you money and move your child ahead slowly. I will not be returning. In my opinion you should treat this as you do mechanics and doctor visits, always get a second opinion!!

My daughter has been at Goldfish for over 2 years and loves it. She really has developed amazing swimming and treading skills by age 5, which is great since she loves the water. They are also really good about working with kids while said kids adjust to things like fear of water, adapting to new instructors, etc. In the younger years, its not uncommon for kids to take a few lessons to develop trust or comfort with a new person around water, but they are SO patient and nurturing. They also have made adaptations to keep the current physical environment as safe as possible with distancing and other measures, while still providing the benefit of early swim lessons.

Our daughter has been going here for almost 3 years and is now nearly through their highest tier. Theyve not only taught her to become a great swimmer, but have given her great confidence as well. Tim is one of the best instructors here but there are many that are solid. Thank you, Goldfish! We are fans.

The staff is very friendly and patient with my daughter. Their pool area is always nice and warm, we also appreciate the new features that the facility has for the upcoming winter season like hair dryers and the swimsuit spinners! Great quality for the price of membership and I feel like my daughter is excelling in her swimming!

My son loves to be there. Amazing place . Warm and clean pool. Only one thing that I don’t like , when you go out from pool it’s very cold while you wear the clothes .

Everyone at the Arlington Heights location is always very friendly, helpful and with a great smile. They give constant feedback and make sure everyone is safe. Teachers/lifeguards have a positive attitude and are great working with the kids!

I have two children at Goldfish Swim in Arlington Heights. One of them has special needs and they do an outstanding job with him. Their patience is so greatly appreciated. I would recommend this swim school to all of my friends and family.

We feel safe being back in the water, and my son is having the best time. Theres normalcy with the added security of knowing everything is being done to keep the facility clean and safe for everyone.

Goldfish Arlington Heights took every action they could to keep their swimmers, staff and parents/spectators safe when they reopened this summer. I was on the fence about resuming lessons, but we felt very safe when we did. Thank you!

We have been very impressed with our time at Goldfish (Arlington Heights). My kids have gone from being afraid to swim assisted in the water to learning freestyle, back stroke and now breast stroke. So glad I took the plunge into a professional swim school.

Very good experiences. My kids learn lot swimming. Thanks for talented swim teacher to guide kids for every aspect of swimming. We also appreciated the front desk team who gave us advise, guidance and timely reply on any communication. Thanks again. Best of luck to every teacher for their future career.

Great swim school for my 2 year old! Weve been going there since April and we love it. Now my son will go on by his own and an instructor. I do not worry, he loves going to classes. Everything is clean and neat, cute interior. Friendly instructors and receptionists! Understanding managers! I do recommend this school. 😊

After trying the park district swim class, I have nothing but raving reviews of the Goldfish Swim School in Arlington Heights. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. We love our swim teacher, Mr. Patrick, who is good with kids. I like that the class sizes are small and there are multiple life guards on deck so you feel very safe with your non swimmer being in the water without floatation devices. They teach the students a specific skill set in each class. I highly recommend this place!

I am someone who believes in providing great customer service and treating customers with respect. Today, I canceled both my boys swim classes after attending this school since they first opened. I have 2 boys, 4 & 6. There is an instructor who has taught both boys. He always begins the lesson splashing with the kids, and becomes frustrated when the kids continue to splash during the lesson. On this occasion he was teaching 6-year-old, but previously taught my 4-year-old. My 4-year-old on this day was with a different instructor. He was having a hard time paying attention and listening, basically being difficult and distracting. As my wife went to get the 6-year-old out of the pool at the end of the lesson, the instructor tells her in a condescending tone that he could tell that they were brothers because he doesn’t listen either as he points to my 4-year-old. My wife was completely horrified and embarrassed as this happened in front of other patents. Anyone with a preschooler knows how challenging they can be at times, but to have a rude teenager call you out in front of other parents is ridiculous.This incident aside it is time to move on from this place. Their program is overly regimented. For a year my 6-year-old struggled with only his back float. Each week they practice, and each week he gets the same feedback all the while never learning new skills, or advancing.I walked away from $100’s of dollars in credits for makeup classes, but in the end, I can’t justify having my boys go back there for 1 more class.

Mr. Tyler is great. He makes my son feel so comfortable. He’s so gentle & friendly with the kids. I’m very grateful. The school as a whole is excellent. Been a member for 9 months & I have had nothing but such a great experience

The teachers are excellent with little kids. My son cried and did not want to get into the water for his first lesson. An additional teacher jumped in to help try and get my son comfortable in the water, while the main teacher worked with the other 2 students. She did this for 2 weeks in a row and by his 3rd lesson, he was excited for swim lessons! They are very patient and dedicated to helping little ones learn to swim.

Great place for children to learn how to swim. The staff is always happy and friendly. The swim instructors are great with kids. My child is learning so quickly here. The mood of the facility is amazing too! Goldfish tank, tiki table umbrellas, oh and family swim nights? Perfect!

We were somewhat sceptical going to goldfish swim school. Our son is 7months old and we were not sure it would be worth the money. It was such a great experience. We left knowing we would become members. It is such an inviting place and the staff are amazing. We were pleasantly surprised. If you are on the fence go to a free class and I can almost guarantee you will sign up.

Goldfish has been amazing so far. My kids have learned so much in a very little time. Mr. Chris is always so happy and excited to teach my girls. It’s worth very penny knowing they are having fun and learning to swim at the same time.

Excellent staff, good communication, clean facility. If you by chance miss a class the school gives a make up class with no limitted dates. I love seeing my son here, he is supper excited when he hears the name Goldfish.

The real time for the class is like 20 minutes. The switch of the groups takes up to 5 min and then they will spend last 5 minutes telling you how your child did. Another thing, if your child is already a swimmer, good to know that they always swim across, never along, so it is way too short of a distance to train well.

Unsafe environment with zero accountability and zero consistency. Plus, my child learned nothing. And it is definitely not clean. Even my 4 year old comments on how dirty the bathrooms and changing rooms are.EDITED 9/18: Almost a week and still waiting on a manager to call me as stated in your response to me. I am shocked that no one has responded to me, especially after nearly two drowning incidents.

My two boys smile ear to ear for the entirety of each lesson. The front desk staff have been knowledgeable and friendly. The swim instructors are focused and promote a fun learning experience. So far - we love it!

Cancelled our membership because the instructor was constantly changing for our son. Completed forms to cancel, they confirmed cancellation, continued to charge our card monthly until we called 5 months later. They didn’t apologize at all.

I would highly recommend Goldfish Swim School, particularly for young children. The instructors are very good at helping scared kids get comfortable in the water. My 6 year old and 3 year old are currently taking lessons, and theyre doing great.

Classes are always full, so when my kids move from one level to the next I have to wait for weeks before finding a open slot in the next level. I used to go to big blue and wish I stayed there.
