I love MBodied Arts Mystery School! Ive been attending for several months and have discovered much about myself. Revelations through my art have helped me grow and revive my spirit. I get so much out of it, I see myself attending Mystery School long term.

In Mystery School, Michelle facilitates great process of depth. Ive made personal breakthroughs here that are incomparable to therapy or self improvement work. The other women are real, funny, kind and I love group.

I painted a little in college and have been trying to get back to it ever since. I am finally able to attend class because of the pandemic zoom format. I have been taking Shannons drawing class for almost 3 months now. It is exactly what I was looking for when looking for an art class! I have a background in visual arts, but have lost my practice as an adult. I was very surprised with the high quality of her technique instruction, and the creative project ideas. Its a warm community and a great way to spend a few creative hours on a Monday evening. Good for all levels and certainly challenging. Im so impressed with mBodied Art Studio!

I joined MBodied at the start of the Pandemic because I was looking for an activity. I am taking Intro to Acrylics with Shannon and I LOVE it. I have learned so many of the basics for Acrylic painting including color values, glazes, washes and how to get that 3D look good paintings possess. Shannon is a warm, bright, enormously talented artist who teaches practical skills while building community in her classes. I would highly recommend Mbodied to anyone!

Mbodied is such an amazing space! I live in Bonita Springs Florida. We don’t have any art classes like this in my area. Plus, how nice is to not leave the comfort of your own home. I was looking for a hobby and found so much more!Shannon is such a talented artist it’s like everything comes second nature to her. She is bubbly and full of light. Joining this studio has been the best thing I could have done for my mental health during this pandemic and the working life. I just forget about the real world and get to enjoy making art with others. If you’re thinking about joining, throw your doubts and excuses aside and just do it. You won’t regret it.

It is great to have a local art studio. MBodied is warm, welcoming and generous. The Lessons that we receive in our drawing class are all on video so that it is easy to access later. Having a designated time to do art with others is really nice. I also really like the Open Studio time. I have not seen that feature offered elsewhere.

MBodied Art has been a healing space for me in so many ways. There are no words that satisfy the amount gratitude that I carry within my heart for this place and the owner, Michelle. The teaching by both Michelle and Shannon have been supportive, not only in a technical manner but in truly a heart centered exploration of oneself. MBodied is an outstanding art studio!Ive been taking drawing classes with Shannon for 6 months. During this time my technique has really improved and Ive become a lot more confident of my art in general. I always look forward to Shannons classes because I learn new things and she creates a fun, nurturing, and positive environment. Shes a wonderful person, an amazing artist and teacher.I have also taken some of Michelles art therapy sessions and they are fantastic! I particularly enjoy her work concerning reclaiming the feminine. It has helped me a lot with my confidence and emotional well being. Her advice is always very wise and I love using art for healing. It truly has made a positive impact in my life even if its just by watching her video posts on Facebook. She is an amazing person and art therapist who really cares about making a positive change in individuals and society as a whole.I also enjoy being part of a community of artists of whom I can learn from. The MBodied arts social platform for members is simply genius! If I miss a class (which I tend to do because of work), its great to catch up with the online videos of the class that I missed. It is also very inspiring to see other peoples art and get good feedback about my art.I highly recommend MBodied art studio to anyone who is interested in thriving as an artist and as a better version of themselves!

When I first joined it has been years since I painted or drew anything! Shannon is an amazing teacher and helped me get right back into it. The studio is extremely welcoming. I look forward to coming here every week! I would highly recommend joining and taking one of the many classes.

Had a great experience at a Weekend Art Retreat. Shannon was an amazing teacher and made me feel super comfortable and welcome. It was such a laid back atmosphere, and yet I learned so many new painting techniques and came away with an amazing painting. I will definitely be back!

I am a 65 year old male just starting out. I am currently taking a watercolor class on Thursdays from Shannon. She is a excellent artist, a gentle teacher and a wonderful human being. She also has a way to make begining students, like myself, and more experienced students feel right at home. She is highly recommended for anybody of any skill level. All the more experienced students are so kind to me also.

MBodied Art Studio is great! I’m new to painting so I had no idea what to expect. Michelle made me feel welcome and comfortable during my first class. I’ve taken quite a few classes since and both Shannon and Michelle have been excellent teachers. Both provide enough new techniques each class to give you something new to work on and to be able to complete each assignment but not so much that it’s overwhelming. The other students are also encouraging and helpful. It feels like a community. I’d definitely recommend MBodied to anyone interested in learning more about art.

Shannon is a wonderful teacher. She brings such energy and creativity into every lesson, and encourages growth in her students. I’ve learned so many techniques and I always think about when I get to paint next. The open studio time available to members is also incredibly handy as I am a slow painter. I love the studio environment and the extra space to be creative. An amazing place ❤️

What an amazing studio!!! Everything was well organized and presented. Every supply you might need was available as part of the class. Our instructor, Shannon, taught a different lesson to each week, building upon the prior lesson. During painting time, she was available if you needed her feedback or guidance, but she never imposed herself. The class size was perfect and the fellow students were very friendly. The experience was awesome! I went in there with a new love of painting, but not really knowing the basics. Shannon took care of that! I now have an understanding of acrylic painting and how to proceed on my own. Thank you again! Looking forward to the next adventure! Water color painting, perhaps??

I’ve taken several classes and workshops here and love this studio and its instructors, Shannon and Michelle. My fellow students are always great and there’s a wide variety of abilities from beginner to advanced. The classes are customized so they work for all. I came in with no experience and I have always felt like it was a safe and nurturing environment. Not only that, it’s a lot of fun! I was over the whole paint & sip craze and this is a refreshing and relaxing environment where I can acquire some real skills while just enjoying the experience of painting. I look forward to Thursday nights each week. I plan to continue my painting here indefinitely. Three cheers and five stars for mbodied!

Michelle’s MBodied Art Studio is magical. A perfect balance of a fun judge-free community, art/painting, philosophy, and psychology of art and allows the individual the choice to experience any or every combination. Michelle is extremely talented and provides amazing perspective to every class held at MBodied. Having done the Wild Woman group, Tiger Women group, and Healing heART group, I would say every class is a delightful experience. I personally found many of the classes to be empowering for me because they allowed me the time and space to get to know and understand my true self, as well as helped me to feel comfortable expressing my true self to others in a healthy environment. Taking these classes helped me find my voice again, and realign myself with my true wants and aspirations. I think anyone would benefit from taking an MBodied class, as all classes I’ve tried I have found to be very inclusive and beneficial in art and life. Would recommend to a friend

MBodied and Michelle have been great. While I have no formal art training, I have been participating in the Healing HeART group. It has been great to get to know the women in the group and explore our inner worlds through the beauty of creating art. The environment is very welcoming, supportive, and encouraging. I never feel judged and Michelle is great at both challenging me where I need to grow while coming along side with warmth, energy, encouragement, and positivity. I would highly recommend this group to anyone as well as going to MBodied to learn more about painting and art. I will keep going to Healing HeART and hope to soon take one of the painting classes as well.

I had been wanting to try and find some artistic expression within me. I discovered MBodied Art Studio, and decided to learn some basic drawing techniques as a first step. The studio feels very comfortable, and Shannon is so sweet, and very supportive. She is knowledgeable, and helps guide you through your journey. It is a safe place to reach outside one’s comfort zone and experiment with art! They helped open up a whole new world to me.

I didnt know I needed art therapy until I went to MBodied Art Studio and found Michelle! I have had a wonderful time in Healing heART for several months now. What a lucky find this intimate little studio was for me! I was looking to take an acrylics class and decided to try MBodied, and I cannot overstate how glad I am that I did! Shannon is an amazing teacher, and she creates a comfortable, positive and non-judgmental place for her students to learn and explore their creative sides. She teaches the fundamentals, then lets you go to try it on your own, which I like. Im already signed up for the next round of classes, and I cant wait to see what well learn next.

What started out as just a fun mother/son activity together has blossomed into a legitimate hobby that we both enjoy so much. The atmosphere is positive and cozy, but the instruction is nevertheless top-rate. Weve embarked on some really complex assignments, but both Shannon and Michelle are able to break down the concepts and guide you through the process, regardless of your skill level. Its the ideal balance between harnessing your creative ideas, and transferring them to canvas, using techniques youve likely never tried. Youll enjoy the journey, as well as the end product. Weve taken multiple classes here, and plan to continue taking many more.

Probably the best deal in Colorado... For less than $200 over 8 weeks, you can walk away with a new life skill. The women who run the place are very talented and put a lot of thought into their classes. If I can make it through a 2 month drawing course with my busy schedule and (lack of) prior artistic ability, then so can you!

This is the most amazing art studio. It is so much more than an art studio. It is both a creative space and a safe space to grow and learn about yourself through your art. It is a community.

I couldnt be happier with my experience at MBodied Art Studio. I took Intro to Acrylics with Shannon on Thursday evenings and cant say enough positive things about her and the vibes of the class. The small class size was ideal for receiving personalized attention. I went into these classes with minimal knowledge of acrylic painting and I left feeling very empowered and ready to continue painting on my own! I will definitely be back for future classes!

I had a great time painting at the MBodied studio! I took the Landscape Painting studio class. It was very laid back, and I felt like I could go through the nicely organized book of lessons at my own pace.Shannon, the instructor, is very talented and really helped me learn the basic techniques of painting with Acrylics, while also giving me freedom to experiment and learn on my own. She really helped me get the most out of the class.After 8 courses, I was able to take home two paintings that I am really proud of. I found myself looking forward to each week, and getting really excited for a couple hours to clear my mind and create something. Ill be signing up again for another class this Fall!

Im new to painting and MBodied Art Studio was a great place to start. Michelle provided a great basis of skills and a welcoming place to explore your imagination. It is a safe place to try new things and get encouragement along with instruction. I have now signed up for independent study and I am enjoying it just as much as the organized class.

Michelle is wonderful. She is very intuitive and her studio feels so welcoming. She offers wonderful art classes and also art therapy for children. She has been great with my 8 y.o. granddaughter who feels very comfortable with her. She has training with traumatized children at Mt. St. Vincent and I would highly recommend her.

I started taking lessons here about 6 months ago, after doing a paint and sip and wanting more. I discovered a whole community of people who wanted the same thing, ranging from very beginners to very talented artists, at Mbodied Arts. Shannon and Michelle are awesome, and teach you all about painting and drawing in a laid back, supportive, creative space. Before I came to my first painting class of my life, all I knew about green was it fell in the 495-570 nm range on the spectrum. After seven classes with Shannons exceptionally friendly and talented teaching, I now know green compliments red colors,;can be mixed with other colors for tree leaves, ocean water and emeralds; and, as I discovered, can be made the color of baby poop if you dont know what youre doing. Shannons welcoming approach and guidance helped me correct my mistakes while helping develop a more artistic eye that what I brought with me on the first night. There is a reason I am continuing to take lessons with MBodied after my class ended- they are THAT good and are helping me better tap into my creative side in a fun and effective way.

MBodied Art Studio is a fantastic place to be creative, meet good people, and just paint. Michelle is not only knowledgeable in how to paint but how to teach painting. Shes got an eye for how to fix things and how to help move the process along. The space is fantastic and the techniques she uses are great for beginner painters just picking up the brush. I have taken two classes on painting with acrylics. Michelle is an inspiring artist and teacher. The space is warm, inviting and comfortable, which is a mirror of Michelle herself. Wonderful! Took Michelles beginning acrylic painting class and found it to be both challenging yet accomplishable. I learned a lot of tricks and got over my fear of the blank canvas. Doesnt matter how good or bad my paintings turned out, I was happily lost in the process and just content to spend time in the good vibes of Michelles class. Id recommend Michelles classes to new and experienced artists, young people, old people, cat-lovers, dog-lovers, everyone! Every session was a treat.

Michelles presence and the ambiance of Mbodied Art Studio is excellent. Upon walking into her studio, I instantly felt a sense of emotional and physical release. It was like walking into your favorite neighborhood coffee shop. Her guided instruction was incredible. I have always had insecurities about my abilities with painting, drawing, and anything artistic in general, feeling as if I had nothing to offer. I brought in a picture that I wanted to reproduce on canvas. Michelles step by step instruction and positive affirmations allowed me to let go of my insecurities and therefore I reproduced a painting that I thought I was incapable of.
