I have been an Esthetician for 20 years and recently wanted to get certified for Microdermabrasion treatments. I chose the College of International Esthetics. The instructor,Cassie, did a great job teaching our class of 6 how to use different microdermabrasion machines. Over the course of the 2 day class about 3/4 of our time was spent in practical work on clients so you leave at the end with plenty of real world experience giving clients this service. I recommend this school. I found the front desk staff to be professional, Cassie is knowledgeable and funny, and am planning on taking another class from this school. The school has purchased a building and is renovating it currently. I look forward to seeing the new location in the future.

I would of loved to give this business Five stars. Unfortunately, I cannot. If I was rating strictly on the service I received it would defiantly be five stars. My student was fantastic, the products used were wonderful, the instructor that came in to check my skin was very nice and informative. The price was more than fair. However, the woman working the front desk was unpleasant to say the least. I am not one judge quickly, but for a business whos main focus is to sell healthy skin and beauty you are missing the mark. Please dont take that statement the wrong way. The face of your school when you first walk in should look professional and inviting. Beauty comes in many different forms and what made hers worse was the attitude I received. Not only was she snippy and condescending, she was down right rude, not only to me but to the students and employees. If you have a problem you shouldnt let the clients know you are having one. I witnessed the whole incident as well as the other clients. Once you make it out of the lobby it was a wonderful experience. As for the school I would recommend anyone get a service done if you can look past the rudeness. Five stars would go to the business if the front desk women, I believe her name was Christina was no longer the first face you see.

I really enjoy getting facials here. The students are very professional and my skin looks and feels amazing afterwards! I can’t wait to try out some of the other services they provide like laser hair removal or the salt glow!

I was looking forward on attending your school as my friend highly recommended it because she went there several years ago. I live out of state and she said your school is the best in Colorado. I reviewed your website and was trying to get myself educated on the things you teach your students. I called and spoke with a lady and was asking her questions on the types of services you have. She was very short and rude. I felt as if my questions were annoying her. Im sorry I dont know anything about the things you teach there. If your front desk lady cant answer questions without making you feel insignificant , why on earth would I attend your school? As Im reading your reviews it seems this is not the first time she has been rude. Why do you risk having such a horrible person there? Unfortunately there is no school for Esthetics where Im from, and it saddens me that the first impression I received from your school has made the choice for me. I hope you can find a good reason why you keep such an unprofessional lady on your staff. I will not be interested in attending your school.

What can I tell ya.. I made it! I graduated from The College of International esthetics. There have been many things negatively about all on here but I would love to get mine. The staff are amazing, they are very informative, they answer any questions that you have, and are very patient. They are aware that not everybody learns same page, I and they are aware that life happens. They are very patient and will never put you down for. Anything negative attitude wise about the school, comes from the students. Yes there are catty moments in every single class, what do you expect when you put a variety of age ranges and maturity levels all in the same room, same class for 6 months? It is biologically impossible to not prevent estrogen levels getting in the way. It’s all of the students could get along and there were no miscommunication this would be ranked at a nearly perfect school. Staff, like I said before are amazing. They are very informative and very patient and will try to explain anything in any way possible until you grasp the concept and understand what is going on. I love the school and I recommended for anybody.

They are so amazing and friendly! Love all the services that are offered. They have really helped me understand the importance of my skin and how to take care of it. Ive been coming here for almost 10 years for facials and other skin care. They always do a great job! The prices cant be beat. Sign up for their emails too to get the monthly deals. Ive gone for regular service and as a model. I highly recommend! Its a nice way to treat yourself without breaking the bank!

In the last month I have visited twice. Both times, the students, products, and supervisors have been amazing. However, the front desk receptionist acted like I was inconveniencing her by existing. It appears that this is a continuing issue. She couldnt be bothered to check me out and when I asked for change to tip my student, it was a huge inconvenience for her. I had attempted to set up another appointment for my birthday, but she basically told me to call back another time.

Worst receptionist I’ve ever met, she needs a new job for sure! She belittles the students in front of their clients and gets satisfaction from keeping your money. Yes, she had a smile on her face while she kept my money! Long story....however, as a grown woman I know when I see another “grown woman” extremely unhappy with her job and maybe her life! Good luck to her she must be real miserable.

I had a wonderful experience here! I took almost all of the Advanced Courses here including Laser, and I drove from Colorado Springs. IT WAS WORTH IT! The instructors are second to none. I never had an issue with anything or anyone that couldnt be quickly & easily resolved. The level of education you can receive is limitless, you only have to show up, ask questions, & participate beyond the bare minimum. The Advanced Courses are not the cheapest, BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! If you want Quality education, CIE is the place, hands down!

Have been going here for years and highly recommend. Have never had any issues and like getting their opinion and treatments on my aging skin. Who doesnt like to get pampered?! :-)

Another spa night in the books! I never leave College of Internatinal Esthetics disappointed. I had a European facial and a hand peel and each student that did my services was just lovely and made sure I was comfortable the whole time! Thanks ladies!

Spa night was great, loved my facial it was excellent. The gift bag was not worth getting, they need to come up with a better bag.

Avoid this place at all cost, unless you want to leave with more problems. Went in for a chemical peel that was supposed to be supervised by an instructor. The instructor didnt come in till the end. I broke out really bad after and had more skin problems. But I completely understand because it was a student and I wasnt to mad just upset I should have known better. I was told I could be a teachers model for microblading that a teacher would be performing it. I went in and the teacher teaching the students messed up my eyebrows. It seem as she didnt know what she was talking about or had very little experience. I went in to get fuller brows came out with thin ones that look as if she tattooed them on. She removed hair that was unnecessary. Theres no reason that I should know how to shape and size eyebrows better then a teacher. Ive seen may microblading videos and I understand how they are supposed to look far from. They looked ok when I was done from a small face mirror. But when i got home and saw they from my large mirror they looked bad. So I decided to size them myself and they they were way off. If your going as a student your not gonna learn anything, your better off watching YouTube videos. Not to forget she forgot to sanitize my face before she started. I should have known better because her eyebrows looked as if they were tattooed and were thin and small. Ill be making some calls because not only are they putting peoples health at risk they are also stealing money from students by having unqualified instructors.Edit: had a professional looked at my eyebrows and they said it was a horrible job. The color didnt fit my skin tone and it has been over a year. Will have to get laser tattoo removal for them. They reached out to me to have me remove my review and didnt care about the bad job they did. They were more concerned about the review than how they left my face. I tried to call them after and was told they would reach out me still have yet to hear. I wanted a copy of my pictures and paper work they have not provide me with any of it. Dont waste your money on their service or instructors they have no idea what they are doing.

CIE was the best school I have attended. Not only did they provide support in classes, staying extra time with you if needed, going over protocols, all and any material covered until you felt comfortable with it. It was a perfect combination of theory and hands on. CIE did not only provide all the material and training needed, but also went above and beyond. I looked forward to getting up and attending classes or clinic everyday. CIE became more than just a school with teachers to me, but it became a family, a support system and a safety net. I have never felt more safe, more supported, more loved or cared for. The staff is beyond amazing, always making sure you excel in the career path we are passionate about.

Amazing! I love coming here, great prices and the students really know what they are doing. I would highly recommend this place.

This school is a joke. They don’t teach you anything but move on like they do. The teacher is a nail technician. She also told us to Google stuff a lot. Since I’ve dropped the school, three girls have been “kicked out”. The whole place is a high school mean girls club and its all family that works there. If you want to waste your time and money, go here! Oh, and I still owe them $1,000!Edit; Wanted to add some things. About a week into starting the course, our original teacher was let go, which is when the nail tech stepped in. I have seen SO much employee/instructor turnaround here, and just wanted to note that. A classmate of mine suffered horrible skin lifting from a waxing treatment that our instructor performed. She was also left alone to perform a Brazillian on a client who she had brought in for learning on, when she had never done this prior! I personally, as well as other students, have been ridiculed and disciplined in front of the whole class for not knowing simple things that they never taught us. I.E. dont leave the stick in the wax pot, very miniscule things. Amongst the fact that your test scores will be read in front of your whole class! Please dont waste your time, money, OR PASSION! here. You will be better off going to a different school, or even Aveda.

Save your time! Save your money! I had been to College of International Esthetics 4 times and had a nice experience. Today a nurse came in and totally humiliated me. I thought a sentence or two I could put up with but when she went on and on, I simply got up and left. Not a pleasant experience thats for sure! I have breast cancer and she pushed my buttons over the limit.

I attended this school and I noticed there is a lot of emotional abuse that goes on at this school from staff and students not a very pleasant environment to learn. It seems that the staff here enjoy treating the students like dirt and then play students against each other causing a very negative dynamic. People act really immature here Im shocked that the staff acts the way they do. I felt like I was in the 7th grade with a 7th grader for a teacher and staff. I would go somewhere else unless you want to put up with nonsense drama on a daily basis until you graduate.They also tried to dupe me out of hours that I put in to keep me there longer. They also charge a huge amount to take advance classes which you can get for a fraction of the cost elsewhere and a better education. Overall Id say this school is not worth the money or the headache from dealing with negative attitudes of the people there.

The older lady who spoke with me treated me like a child, repeated her questions over and over and used guilt tactics to get me to return. I came for an acne consultation and while she tried to convince me to come back she warned me if i didnt, Id be stuck with my acne my whole life. Lots of guilting, lots of scare tactics to get me to use their treatments. I was made to feel worse about my acne, I dont plan on returning any time soon.

I have been trying to get ahold of the admissions director multiple times, and have not received any answer back. When I have received calls back they have been snappy and down right rude. When I went down to take a tour of the school the director was out and one of the teachers I believe walked me through the school and everything I needed to know. She made me really want to go there. And that is why I continue to try. But the communication of the people I have tried to contact being admission and financial directors have been no help at all. If I could rate a then a zero I would. The only reason the have rated this one star is because I had to put something.
