My daughter went here. If you are looking for a very rounded education in music for your child, look no farther. They teach not only an instrument, but the theory behind music itself so that kids can really branch out into whichever instrument interests them the most after they leave. The primary focus is of course the piano, but they touch on rhythm instruments, recorder, and the guitar in some of the more advanced classes. They teach the kids how to read sheet music on the grand staff, both treble and bass clef including Ledgers above and below both. They teach major and minor scales, and how to form chords from them instead of simply memorizing chords. They also teach dynamics. Theres also a big focus on hearing intervals and notes by ear, so its a great stepping stone for a child who wants to sing as well. All in all I couldnt be happier with this place and the education they provided for my daughter. Very highly recommended. And as an added bonus, they encourage parent participation with their child through the learning process, so if you want to you can learn a thing or two about music as well!

This is a great program. Very thorough and fun! Ms Tia does an amazing job and the kids really love her.

It is absolutely fantastic at Childrens Music Academy of Arvada. We feel so lucky to have found this place. Miss Tira and Miss Eugenia are great with all of the kids. It is so cool seeing the children all learn to play instruments, read music and develop a love for music. Couldnt ask for a better first music experience!

I absolutely LOVE CMA. My daughter loves her class and classmates. Loves her solos and loves Ms. Tira. Ms. Euguenia is the same. They are both excellent. My youngest will be going here too. I cant wait!! I truly believe this program provides structure, discipline, confidence and a love for music. They learn to read music, train their musical ear and learn music theory. Music is explained with fun stories, singing and dancing. The class is very engaging. Ms. Tira is so very patient and obviously loves children. If you havent tried one of their promotional classes, youre missing out!! Thank you CMA!!!! Thank you Ms. Tira!!!
