The best school experience I’ve ever had. As someone with ADHD, the movement based, self care based program was the perfect environment for me to learn. As a queer student, the environment was warm, accepting and never did I feel discriminated against. All of the teachers are wonderful at making sure you absorb and understand the materials, and the grading system is based around making sure you understand the material, and not just a series of numbers that make you feel like a failure. The program was deeply insightful helping me learn and grow within myself, along with the learning of how to be successful as a massage therapist. The program gives you way more than most programs do, getting the school a reputation at most local spas that graduates from this school are given an opportunity to interview even without prior spa experience. Post graduation they stay with you, offering a supportive environment for you to come back and ask questions that deal with the challenges you face in your new career and are there to offer you the resources you need to succeed years beyond the actual class experience. I am so thankful that I chose this program.

Attending this school was amazing. The teachers are top notch and care about the students and their growth. I very much appreciate the focus on self-care included in the curriculum. This is crucial for massage therapists and too often over-looked. The classes were engaging and my classmates were great support. I felt like the program gave me a safe, nurturing space to grow into new skills and knowledge. Also, the student massages at the clinic are better than 99% of the professional massages I have gotten since moving out of town. Honestly.

The student clinic here is my favorite place to have bodywork done, especially when I want to treat myself without spending a ton of $. Its easy to forget youre in a school, it doesnt have that cold, sterile school feel. The vibe of the private treatment rooms are kind of boho minimalist, very serene, very clean. Its also easy to forget the person working on you is a student. They are so well trained. Their knowledge of anatomy, ability to communicate, attention to detail, confident touch and professionalism is unparalleled. Seriously, for $35/hr why are you even still reading this? Go make an appointment. Self-care is important & you deserve nice things.

ASMY is my favorite massage space in Asheville. The prices can’t be beat, the environment is cozy, the staff is kind, and the students are always top notch. I’ve received many massages here and have done an Ayurvedic consultation as well. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into creating such a positive experience.

Ive been taking advantage of the Student massage recently and they have all been fantastic from knowledgeable and effective students. I rarely have time for a two hour massage but went back after the first one since it felt like a seasoned pro was working on me. Try it!! Youll be happy you did.

Not very yogic just a gimmick to get your money as far as I can see now that Im on the other side of applying there; please steer clear, and get licensed from an accredited school, or atleast one that isnt based On hate. I dont believe the sutra teaches hate :( ! Staff had obvious prejudice and southern bias quite frankly put, you might be better getting training elsewhere a little more open-minded

Fantastic massage and yoga education! Well-designed curriculum prepares students for standard examination and licensure. Instructors are knowledgeable, well-prepared, passionate, and available. This comprehensive massage education is a cut above the rest because of the inclusion of yoga, mindfulness/meditation, energy anatomy, and somatic psychology.

An amazing space of learning and healing in Asheville. Student massages are practiced with craft and professionalism. An incredibly affordable way to experience top notch body work. The space is gorgeous and perfectly situated for a post-massage tea at Dobra. I will definately be back
