Terrible customer service from manager John at the McKenna Rd location in Asheville. I brought in a backpack that was slightly used that had shredded around the zipper within 2 weeks of use. The backpack was $70 so we expected longer use from it. He said it was not able to resell it so he would not accept the return. He also said the store policy was within 30 days of purchase. The store website clearly says 90 days with 100% customer satisfaction. He continued to refuse return. I called Office Max customer service to help. After 2 representatives spoke with him asking him to return to backpack, he continued to say that he had the highest discretion and he would not return it. He said I could come back Monday to speak with the General store manager. I had to leave the store. The customer service team submitted a complaint about this manager. I am a business owner and I will never use this company again and i will be sure to spread the word. John was clearly flexing his authority in his store and not supporting the company policy listed in the website. I hope that speaking with the general manager Monday will result in a return of my money for a failed backpack. John is a terrible team member and will continue to lose customers for Office Max/depot.

I was in desperate need of assistance in completing a school project. Luckily I met Angelique in the printing department. She was so professional and got me more than what I needed to do a good job on this assignment. She was knowledgeable and very patience with me when figuring out the right paper. I have another assignment due next week and hopefully I can work with her again.

This place is terrible with costumer service . The printing clerk AYLA was very rude & disrespectful and refused to help my husband and myself print our business cards. She expected us to know how to run her stores system by ourselves. I called after we left without service, & spoke with the manager RANDY. he was no help.at all and took up for his employee. He was yelling on the phone and would not allow me to speak. It was terrible service. I called the cooperate on them both & I went to staples and got some lovely business cards printed up and ill use staples.over OFFICE DEPOT FROM NOW ON

If u are looking for anything at office depot in Asheville, speak with Gary. He was a knowledgeable and supper nice guy that cares about his customer.

They Do a Good Job

Put something back and was trying to leave and was stopped at the door and was accused of stealing. I won’t be back there ever again

Very impressed with this location. Bought an office chair when COVID hit to work remotely full time. 4 months later I realized the chair arm height was causing me shoulder pain. Not only did they take back the chair without a box but supported me to find another, saying to just keep trying out chairs until I found the one that and that they would continue to accept returns for those that dont work. I was literally about to leave after trying all chairs without success but when the manager said this I went back for a second look and found one I thought may work. Now home, I think I have a winner. Thanks for an awesome experience and top notch customer service!

The new manager was very helpful with selecting a printer to meet my needs. He suggested I take it home, use it for everything I do, and bring it back within 14 days if it isnt suitable. Very customer friendly!

I usually stop here first when looking for office supplies. Easy access, easy parking, not crowded. Sometimes they are out of a particular item I might need, but rarely.The staff is friendly & helpful. The building/ shopping center seems a bit rundown, but it doesnt matter.

Customer service counts! And at this Office Depot on Tunnel Rd. it was exemplary this evening - a much needed and highly appreciated antidote to what had been a long and fruitless engagement with Epson Printers customer service over the phone during the afternoon. Though I know this isnt exactly apples to apples...bottom line is Epson lost a customer today - and our local Office Depot won one.

Staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. I arrived, a staff member was with another customer. He looked over and nodded. As soon as he was finished with the customer, he assisted me in finding my. There was a second product I wanted that was not in the store, so he ordered it for me, to be delivered to my home. Great place.

Poor customer service in the print department, lost a long time customer. Apparently theyve switched software so if you come in with an Adobe InDesign file theyre going to charge you to retype the whole thing because of errors their software caused. It might also take them 25 minutes to tell you that.

I ran in a rush to have business cards made. The young lady took over and made them perfect. When they printed they didnt cut centered. Oh well.Greg, helped me with picking out a printer based on my needs. Im jhst getting ready to set it up.

The personnel are helpful, so this is not about them. The store needs to be renovated ... more than badly! Office Depot merged with Office Max and closed two of the nicer stores that were in much easier to access locations. This store is next to Big Lots, Dollar General, & similar and it only lives up to its neighbors standards rather than setting the standard. Whats going on Office Depot?Also, I live in South Asheville where they closed a store. I look forward to one of their competitors closing that gap again. Drive 6 - 12 miles for office supplies? No. Its easier to order online ... and not from Office Depot.

Even though I feel like their prices are a little high the staff was very friendly. We got a product that ended up having an old tag on it from a sale that ended and they let us get it at the sale price still.

The shelves are half empty, the music is terrible, and the employees look like they lost a deal with devil with how bored they seemed to be. Since there arent many other office supply stores nearby, I guess they dont think they need to up their game?

I had some work done at the print/copy kiosk and it was lower in price than a similar store and of the highest quality.

This place on tunnel rd has way too high of prices for their things, they need to have a sale to get more people in there to buy, but they did have good employees that helped us find what we were looking for, but just saying they need more sales going on there.

The printing department is technically and quality challenged. The staff is always very helpful and are trying their best but they can only be as good as their bad machines.

Ordered a three piece computer desk in July. Waited about two weeks for it to come and three days after the scheduled arrival date, I called Office Depot and was referred to their customer service center; who stated that the order had been cancelled and they would process the refund.Contacted the manager who offered $25.00 off the desks a piece for the inconvenience.
