Perhaps the grandest building in Athens and on the Ohio University campus, the Convocation Center is where the OU convocation as well as numerous seasonal and cultural events take place. I believe, OU basketball playoffs happen here as well.Anyway, the big is nice and big - Ideal for a university that has more than 20,000 students. On convocation day - That usually happens in April of each year - the place is jam-packed. Parking is a hell. However, years of experience has taught OU admin to pull the event off seamlessly. Even so, go early and pick a nearby parking spot. Court Street is a huge climb from here. Not for the weak kneed.While there, also explore the surrounding area. The Adena Bikeway is nearby, as is the Hocking River and pretty flowering trees on its banks.

Great location and has alot of packing space.. the convention center is well maintained and you can count on the security there for a peaceful event. There is also enough seating space and the attendants are cheerful and friendly. Hood air circulation that always good for big events

At first I wasnt excited about going here at all. When we got there and I saw how humongous this place was, there was no way that one couldnt be excited. The Convo Center had me in Awe the whole time. It was dark so Im sorry I only have night pictures of the outside. The inside had me mesmerized. Its beautiful and Im so happy to of had the chance to go there. The food wasnt very good and super over priced. One bit of advice, Eat before you go!!!

Watched part of the OU womens game and then most of the mens game. The girls won big time, the men were losing to the Akron Zips when we left.

Great venue, horrible fans. Cheering injuries and mocking the injured, all with the tacit approval of the team and the coaches. Shame.

Its always a great atmosphere at the Convo. We go at least once to twice a year.

Great arena for a large commencement service with plenty of seating so that we did not have trouble finding a place for our group to sit. Big jumbotron made it easy to see what was going on and to watch each graduate closely. There were plenty of restrooms, although they were very outdated and not very clean.

I absolutely love being in the Convo but, it would have been so much better to have won! Good luck to Sheridan Generals. Also tonight our prayers go out to the earlier game fan, and his family, along with our gratitude for the first responders.

Very nice place went here for my step daughter graduation. Its was crazy packed parking was crazy, but they did have shuttle buses. But it is a beautiful place

Dirty old arena. Needs cleaned and updated. Such a shame this could be the crowning jewl of ou insted it is a disgrace.

Ive been to the Convo Center only a handful of times and the service, spectators, and just the overall time of being there is great. Its a fun, good, warm, sometimes crazy environment. Going to the Convo Center is definitely something you need to do.

4 of the 5 mens restrooms did not have a baby changing table, even though it was marked that they did. And the one that did have a table was gross.

I went for graduation, and it was very organized.

Disappointed they had like 40 seats in the front two rows saved for the Ohio Athletic Association and their family Im assuming because couple rows in front of us that was saved for them was 3 people reading books during the game not even watching the game Vans was not allowed to sit there and they also had their kids with him and then there was probably 10 or 15 open seats not even take it very disappointed I thought the game was for the fans
