I went through the Javascript program. We did not build any projects...nothing. The instructor was very poor quality and was never around to answer questions or aid in the growth of knowledge. It was literally reading from slides everyday. I learned more from Udemy courses . They also never helped whatsoever with job searching/placement. I would not recommend this program for those who are serious about learning to code to actually get a job and make a career of this.

I love the fact that I chose to be with NuCamp they make coding interesting and they were very flexible with my work schedule. I loved the instructors as they are always ready and available to answer whatever questions that you may have along with the other classmates. I cant wait to get started on the full-stack course!

Before I started the Learn to Code course in Charlotte, I wondered if Id really be coding in only 8 weeks. But after completing Tech Talent Souths full-immersion Learn to Code course, I can tell you for sure that its for real.I think of it as an equation:Learn to Code in 8 weeks = discipline/dedication + resources/support system. The first half of the equation was up to me. Just like anything else, learning how to do something new takes hard work. You must do the homework, come to class, play an active role, ask questions…that sort of stuff. The second half of the equation was all Tech Talent South. They provided all the support, resources and tools needed to learn to code in 8 weeks. They provided an engaging classroom setting (you learn by doing…no lectures here), skilled and knowledgeable instructors (they have a genuine interest in your success), and extracurricular networking and education events with companies and leaders in your community (so you can get a job when you finish).I cant enough good things about my experience with Tech Talent South and learning to code. I highly recommend them.

So I started my program in the Spring and dropped the program within 4 weeks of the program. Please I REPEAT!! “DO NOT WASTE YOIR MONEY” the curriculum was scarce. My instructor barely knew Javascript because he himself JUST graduated. Heed my warning.

I discovered Tech Talent South when they expanded their Code Immersion Program to Raleigh, NC. Going into it I was a little nervous since I had little to no programming experience (outside of online tutorials) and I had never been experienced to Ruby on Rails. It was then that I met their team. The owners and the instructors at Tech Talent South are what make this company so great. Everyone I spoke to has this incredible passion for web development and a mission to teach every person how to code. From class one we were actually building apps from the ground up. There is nothing more exciting then sitting in front of a console session and actually building an application that you can in turn interact with and watch it come to life! Our generation was born into a world where new technologies are being created and adapted on a daily basis and programming knowledge is transitioning from a rare skill to almost the norm. Tech Talent South has developed a program that will give you the tools required to build a foundation in web development that will help you stand out from the crowd. Whether you have an idea that you want to make into a reality or you want to work your way toward a job as a developer, TTS may be able to help you get there. Check out their website and see if their next program will be opening up near you!

What first attracted me to TTS is that is affordable and they offer a part-time program. I wanted to learn to program to gain both technical and management skills. While it was an investment, it has already paid off in helping me get a new job as a Lead Senior eCommerce Manager and to make informed business decisions while I work on my own business. Our instructor was a senior level Ruby programmer who adjusted the pace of the class to meet our needs and made himself available outside of class time. I am thankful TTS helped me get started in my endeavor to learn to code and they continue to be a resource to me even though the course has ended.

I recently completed the full-time Tech Talent South program in Atlanta. First, I will say that the Tech Talent South website does not lie when it says that you will learn a lot. From starting with HTML/CSS we moved into bootstrap and then into ruby and finally spending the majority of the time focusing on Ruby on Rails. In rails, we built a simple blog, twitter app, ecommerce app and many other projects during the course. After 8 weeks of almost non-stop coding in HTML/CSS, Ruby and Ruby on Rails I can honestly say that I learned quite a lot of material. I am still going through and digesting everything that my brain took in. Overall the course was very good and I felt that the instructors were very helpful. I often stayed after each class to do some more coding and an instructor was always present to answer any of my questions. Another great aspect of the course were the field trips/ guest speakers that came and spoke to the class. These experiences provided invaluable insight to the world of being a developer. I would highly recommend this course to anyone that was thinking about getting into the world of coding-for you will learn a lot!

I just recently finished the part-time program at Tech Talent South. I did a lot of research before attending in the hopes that I would find a program with good instructors and lots of support. Right from the start I had a really good feeling about this program. The co-founders of the program (Richard and Betsy) were super friendly. They answered all my questions by phone and email. Talking to them made me decide to enroll in the program. Many bootcamps do not have part-time programs (I was not in a position to quit my job) so I was happy to find this option. Tech Talent South also had many payment options available. The program itself was pretty strong. The co-founder Richard was always available to help with whatever I needed. He checked up on me throughout the program and was very accessible. My instructor (Robby) was knowledgeable, engaging and patient. He reviewed often and gave us interesting, real-world assignments. There are also teaching assistants available in addition to the instructors office hours if you need extra help. The program is fast-paced with a lot of material being covered but there is a lot of support/guidance along the way. You definitely get out of the program what you put in so I advise that you make every effort to do the homework, work with your fellow students and participate in the classes.I was not looking for a full-time job at this point but did see opportunities to gain employment and/or an internship if that is your goal. Near the end of the program I did obtain a part-time internship with a great startup company where I have already learned a lot. If you are looking for a good, solid program in which to learn coding then I would definitely recommend Tech Talent South.
