I just finished Sewing 101 with Diana and I really enjoyed it! I was brand new to sewing at the beginning and I learned MUCH faster than I would have been able to learn on my own. Diana was supportive and always able to help with questions I had. I appreciated her calm demeanor since it can be intimidating starting something new. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would like to take another class at Fabricate. Thank you Diana!

My 15 year old daughter wanted to learn how to sew and we settled on Fabricate after emailing with questions. She absolutely loved the entire experience. She definitely went from not knowing how to turn the machine on to completing not so easy projects. It was so rewarding and challenging for her. We definitely intend on taking more classes soon.

Fabricate Studios is simply amazing. Ive always wanted to learn how to sew and year after year I would tell myself that I would finally take classes. Unlike previous years, I finally kept my promise and immediately signed up for the beginner sewing 101 class when I found this studio. Let me just say that you really learn a lot in just 4 weeks. Ive learned all the basics of sewing and even how to put a zipper onto a piece. I never would have thought that sewing could have been taught so quickly in a short amount of time but Diana is such an amazing instructor. I definitely recommend this class for anyone looking to learn how to sew. Im going to continue with the new set of classes soon but in the meantime, Im going to use all the tools Diana has given us and just practice practice practice.

I just finished the Sewing 101 (beginner class) intensive (4 classes/4 projects in 2 weeks). I enjoyed the class & learned new techniques each class. I have been very happy with the level of instruction & the individual attention I received. I appreciate that the in-class instruction was followed by written instructions/videos to review the techniques & to have for future reference. I will absolutely take classes at Fabricate Studios again.

I had such an enjoyable and very informative experience at Fabricate Studios. I went from never having touched a sewing machine to creating my own bags and pillows in a matter of weeks. The studio space is immaculate and I appreciated the temperature checks and mask-wearing during these Covid times. I cant wait to come back to take more classes!

The class was excellent, very personal and the curriculum was done well to build your skills in a 4 week session. I finished Sewing 101 today and Im already signed up for 102 and the Block of the Month class! Diana is a fantastic teacher. I have been sewing (self-taught) for years, and I wondered if 101 would be too basic for me. But I learned so much in every class. Diana showed us better, more efficient methods for things I have already attempted on my own, and my accuracy has improved drastically. I ended class with 5 adorable projects that I look forward to using.Added note: I am a knitter as well and I chatted a bit with the knitting instructor. She seems really cool too!

Fabricate Studios is THE place to learn to sew, quilt, knit, etc. in Atlanta. If I could give it a million stars I would! The value in the classes taught at Fabricate is unbeatable, as you learn so much more there than you would at one of the big box retail store classes. (Ask me how I know.) The classes are small, so you get lots of attention from the instructor if needed. If you are on the fence about signing up for a class, just do it. You will love it!

Loved my Sewing 101 class. Of course I learned a lot, but the extra bonus was that I all around enjoyed spending 8+ hours with Diana and my lovely classmates. I was actually a little sad when it was over - just a nice group to learn with.As for the learning part, I now have what I think is a pretty solid foundation of how-to, my sewing machine is no longer a thing of mystery, and my friends will certainly hit a limit of how many tote bags I can make for them! Looking forward to the next class.

My 8-year-old daughter has been taking sewing classes here for just over a year, and she loves it! Miss Kerrie is terrific with the kids, and they have a lot of fun. She does a new project in each class, so the kids always come home with a finished product, which they are so proud of. The studio provides all of the materials, from machines, to fabric, to thread, so you dont have to invest in equipment and supplies up front in case your child decides it is not for her. I also like that the kids classes are every other weekend for 2 hours. It is easier to work it into our familys busy schedule when it is not every weekend, and the 2 hours gives them a lot of time to focus on their project. Id highly recommend them to anyone whose child is curious about learning to sew!

The leather tote class was wonderful new sewing experience. My sewing interest has shifted from apparel to bags and totes with a particular interest in leather. With no experience working with leather, I began searching the internet for a class. I was thrilled to find the class at Fabricate Studios because there was nothing available in my area. I live approximately 200 miles south of Atlanta, but the drive was never an issue. After reading more about Fabricate Studios, I knew the weekend class was exactly what I was looking for. The small class size was perfect for learning a new skill. My instructor, Penninah, was very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. She brought numerous examples of her work and openly shared her successful and not-so-successful pieces. The class was well organized, and I was able to work at my own pace and receive assistance from my instructor as needed. I’m not yet ready to sew leather on my own as I have much more to learn, but I would love to take this class again to further explore sewing leather. Thank you for an awesome class!

I LOVE fabricate studios! I have taken 7 classes with them, and have 2 more planned in the coming months. My Fabricate journey started a year and half ago when I wanted to learn basic sewing to help my sister with our DragonCon cosplays. Sewing 101 and 102 were fantastic with learning the basics. People tried telling me you can learn these skills online, but you CANNOT beat the in person teaching. Your learning curve will be exponentially faster, and you will have a lot less frustrations. Like any new skill you are going to mess up from time to time, but having someone there to pinpoint the issue and tell you how to fix it is invaluable. I have also taken their bag, leather, pattern, and knit courses. I went from wanting to learn the basics, to sewing the majority of my wardrobe! I now partner with 6 online fabric/pattern companies as a seamstress as a side gig, and absolutely love it!! I wouldnt be doing all this today if it wasnt for Fabricates classes :D
