I have two students here. One is going into her 3rd year at Lakeside, the other is just starting out. Sports are WAY overpriced. I mean horribly overpriced. The bathrooms are disgusting. Truly. I used one during a basketball game last year, I couldnt sit on the toilet, there was pee everywhere and there were cockroaches crawling in the sinks and on the floors. It smelled like rancid meat. It was awful. Ive never seen anything like it in my life, and thats the honest truth. I see nothing too significant about this school to separate it from any other school, besides the fact that its more ethnically diverse than most schools in Atlanta, but other than that, Lakeside is overrated in my opinion.

My family LOVES Lakeside High School. Not only is it great academically, but they take great care of the kids with special needs as well. My brother had an accident that left him immobile and blind, but he still has full use of his brain. Lakeside has provided many tools for him to stay involved and take classes. He was in the gifted program before his injury and has the help needed to remain a high achiever in his classes. From the wonderful staff, to the way they are teaching him how to use resources, to the therapies he receives to be self- sufficient, to the caring love and respect he receives from his teachers and classmates -- Id give Lakeside High 10 stars..but will settle for your 5 since thats all you offer.

I have three children at Lakeside one a senior, there is a significant amount of separation in this school. When you walk in the front office you noticeably see the two white women on one side and the two black women on the other. One good thing Mr. Green did was get rid of the racist redneck principal. The new Principal seems like he is willing to hear the parents out. You have good teachers and then you have those teachers that basically suck and I mean SUCK. I am taking my other two out if the teaching doesnt improve. I can care less about the racism but it is prevalent, and there have been fights left and right lately.

Needs better bathrooms. Also better spending of money and also shouldnt spend money on cameras but on paying the teachers more so they actually care about the school

Teachers are good and try to help, but only if you reach out. Tbh most of the problems were in the student because no one really cares and the students who do are often left out or do t have many friends. But there is no intentional bullying that I noticed. People just like to stick with alike people. The teachers won’t one on one help you unless you ask so don’t be afraid to ask cuz they have no problem helping. This school is super packed with students hallways are kinda narrow especially the staircase to going up to the main floor it’s super small and gets extremely packed during dismissal or between classes. The kids are nice just not too focused on school work till the last minute. It’s fun though and offers lots of opportunities for your future.

Love this school. Wish i can work there one day.

The only good thing about this school is the Drama program.

Lakeside is a good school best teacher to work with there with you on anything you need help with

Lakeside HighSchool, is an excellent school for education and high achievement.

This school is a joke. There are fights breaking out every other week for over dumb reasons, unnecessarily strict rules regarding phones.. Also, the food sucks.

The internet could be better

This is a horrible school . Dont send your kids here your daughters will end up prego
