This was the first time that both me and my husband rode a horse. JD was an excellent teacher and made it so easy. He is very friendly and felt like family. His knowledge and love for his horses helped both of us relax and enjoy the experience. The ranch is very rustic which added to the whole experience. On our next trip to Atlanta, we will certainly be paying Breezy a visit. Thanks cousin JD for wonderful vacation memories.

Yesterday, my sister and I had an awesome trail ride at JD’s Horse Ranch. JD was super patient, attentive, and very pleasant. It was such a relaxing, fun experience. JDs Horse Ranch is Atlantas best kept secret for all your equestrian needs. From the owner down to the ranch hands everything was amazing. Although Im a novice rider I felt very comfortable and safe from beginning to the end. The warm, reassuring smiles made me feel right at home. To sum it all up, Great experience, Very professional, knowledgeable, and just a 5 star all around experience. I will definitely be a regular customer and bring all of my family and friends to join me!

I live out of state and I was able to book a reservation with JD very easily! JD and his staff was very professional and kept a very clean establishment. The horses are well kept and the trail was absolutely beautiful! Pricing was very very reasonable and I will definitely be coming back!

I was looking forward to supporting my first known Black Horse Ranch and was disappointed by JD’s unprofessional insensitivity. I scheduled an appointment for the next day and unfortunately had to reschedule due to a death in my family in Ohio. I asked if we could reschedule and was told that there was a cancellation fee (I made the appointment directly with JD over the phone and this was never mentioned) I asked him if he could waive it since he failed to tell me during my reservation and especially since I had a death in my family. He said he would not. When I made the appointment I initially asked him if I should make the appointment online and he told me I could make the appointment with him. I should have been told about the cancellation fee at that moment. Lucky for me that I never gave him my credit card information. Advice… customer service training. Take care of your customers and they will take care of you.

- Professional & welcoming staff- JD made my 13 year old sister feel so comfortable (she was so nervous at first)- The horses are so beautiful and well kept- They have acres and acres and acres of beautiful land- The ride was a full hour and so worth it! (We weren’t rushed at all)I will definitely be back!

My 6 year old has been coming here for over a year. Mr. JD is always so patient and affable. She loves her lessons in the round pen, but enjoys trail rides the most. There is a beautiful quarry and gorgeous scenery on the trail. Its easy to forget that youre only minutes from Atlanta. JDs horses are obviously well taken care of; as all the ones weve riden have all had great temperaments and been in wonderful physical shape. I cant give JD enough praise for how afforable, accommodating, and kind he is as an instructor. You wont be disappointed.

We had a GREAT TIME today, August 13, 2020. We went out on the trail with JD and Staff members Terrell, and Outlaw. Everyone was professional, fun, knowledgeable and patient. They even tolerated my paparazzi impression the entire time. I’ll definitely be back!!!

My daughter and I had a great time at the ranch. JD and his horses were great even for rookie riders like us. Who knew all that beautiful property was so close to the city. We will definitely be going back for sure.

The very best Ive ever experienced. The guides were so friendly, and time never rushed.The horses were so gentle, and the tour breath taking. I felt like John Wayne or Client Eastwood.Next time Im back, Im going to purchase cowboy boots and hat. A very great program for everyone.

This place is great! I had a wonderful time and would go again! The horses were beautiful! The trail was nice and worth the money! By the end my cheeks were hurting from all of the smiling I did! JD is phenomenal! Our family doesnt have experience riding horses, and we all went through the basics of horse riding with JD and his staff. Theyre very professional and cool. After that we went riding on such a beautiful trail. Totally recommended!

Had a great time ! Everyone was so welcoming, we were taught how to properly hold the reigns and place our feet before going on the trail. Each person hide a guide. We all felt very safe and everyone was so sweet.

Was to have went horse back riding yesterday, but due to the weather report yesterday morning it was suppose to have rained, (and it did rain)when called to reschedule our horseback riding to another day, was told we could reschedule but would have to pay for 2 more rides and that he would not refund nor apply the money that we already paid for 2 rides to the rescheduled date. Thats really poor business, no one can predict the weather and we didnt want a refund we just wanted to reschedule because of the rain..Lydia Pinckney-Moore
