I called the company and requested a refund, and they said they would return my call within a week. It’s been about two weeks and no call. I have nothing against the company. They have a nice team and set of coaches, however, I haven’t attended most classes due to personal reasons and I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t need these classes anyways for my success. It’s good for those who are starting from nothing, but I kind of already am on that track of becoming who I want. I just need my money returned and that’s it. My name is KIMUKIE BLACK.

I’m currently enrolled in the classes and loving it!! This modeling school is so much fun and you meet a ton of amazing people. The staff here are fun and upbeat and will never put you down. When you don’t get something right they show you the right way and tell you that you CAN do it. Yes I am paying 72 dollars a class but that is because I am paying for a service, they are teaching me the basics and helping boost me up in the industry. Highly recommend John Casablancas for modeling school!!

I honestly had a really great experience. The audition process was extremely fun to me. I had so much fun doing the photo shoot and since it was first it made me a lot more comfortable with the whole thing. The commercial read did make me nervous since it was my first time doing anything really like this. And then the runway just made me want to do modeling even more. I got a callback that night and the person who did the meeting with me was respectful to me and my mother. And even though I was 19 they still included my mom in all the decisions and included even more in the process. My rep checked on my progress often and now I have a three year contract with a great agency that I cant wait to work with. I am booking extra work right now while I get behind the camera experience and I have to modeling auditions the same weekend. This center is proactive if you are willing to put in the work that is necessary. But it is a two way street and you need to put in your work to be successful! All in all I wouldnt go back and change my mind because it has turned out to be great for me, my self confidence, and even my wardrobe!

My son had an audition for John Casablancas and asked if I wanted to go. Of course I wanted to because I support him in everything. I was amazed how friendly everyone was to us. I enjoyed the entire night and learned so much in just the short 2 hours we were there. Ms. Di was so entertaining while explaining everything so anyone could understand. She is able to capture your attention when she walks into the room, but when she speaks you will hang on every word. She is stunning, professional and really gives you a heartwarming feel.

I went back the next day because I got excepted. The place is basically a stepping stone into the world of modeling and acting. You have you pay $2,000 for the classes or they can just submit you and see what happens for free. If you are really serious about modeling and have no experience and would like to pay the money then this is great. Although they do pay for all of your photo shoots when you take the classes. John Casablancas is a shady company.... The set up of the studio is very cramped, and its hard to find in relation to its provided address. The music in the studio is ear-shatteringly loud, and the staff there are all very young. When you go in for your first audition, its clear that this isnt a very legitimate operation. I was told to dress business casual yet nobody else there was, and the talent test was very minimal. I did was read 5 lines from a TelePrompter for the acting portion, and I walked down a runway in front of the other talent auditioners for the modeling portion. After that, I was called in the next day for a follow up, and was immediately provided a contract to sign. It basically requires all new members to pay over $2000 for modeling and acting training, with no guarantee of actually finding you work. The contract is air tight, and you only have a certain amount of time to cancel before you cant get your money back. Dont fall for this, a legitimate agency would never make you pay to develop you.

I hate the fact that I became a victim to a SCAM... It discouraged me from pursuing a career in the entertainment industry for a little while...I was excited when I got the call to audition and made the cut. We were never told it was a training center from the beginning and there was never talk about payments until the next date...I felt that this could be my chance but I didnt feel motivated to keep going, nor I saw progress, and I didnt feel like the money I paid was worth 2hrs of class...It was small, cramped, unprofessional, and uncomfortable.I did my research after the fact about agencies and called around to one and the owner said you should not have to pay for training and if hes interested in working with you, then the training is FREE...The people I met (teachers, assistants, classmates were nice) were nice and respectful. Thats my only positive experience from it.I also got a BILL from a billing agency when the papers I SIGNED stated that I was entitled to some refund if I included it in my withdrawal, which I did.I was a victim of a scam but its not stopping me from pursuing my dreams.

They called me the first time and I said I wasnt interested. I was at work and told the woman on the phone it was a bad time and instead of asking if there was a better time she could call back she just keep talking and insisting come for an initial evaluation the next day. Since it was a bad time I said yes to be free of the phonecall. They called me again the next day while I was driving to confirm I was coming. I said Im actually driving right now. This is a bad time. Once again she would not stop talking and kept asking me questions and asking me to confirm. I became irritated and said you know what Im just not coming. I hung up so I could drive in peace. Mind you I do not have a headset to drive hands free. She immediately called me back and asked me to confirm. I said Im not interested and hung up again. She called back a third time and this time I didnt bother to answer. What legit agency is so desperate that to bring people in that they harrass people that are not interested? Clearly they are trying to get me to buy something. Thats exactly why I AM NOT INTERESTED. So annoying!Reply to reply: I think that the response that I received to this review speaks for itself. I had an amazing time at my meeting with the Jcasablancas crew. The Staff are very Polite and courteous. They are always smiling at you, making sure you are ok. The Director of the center is a rare gem, she has an amazing sense of humor. She is a professional to the letter, please i would like to implore everyone who comes to write a review here. Do not make people look bad, if you did not pull through at your interview or audition. It does not mean you do not have potential, it simple means you should work on yourself, if given another opportunity you make a better presentation. If we are to judge by reviews, i probably would not have honored the invitation extended to me by them. I just moved to Georgia, i have years of experience in Film and Television as an actor. I have been searching for Agencies to work with. The John Casablancas Center, is one of the places i have been to so far, and can say they are quite professional and know what they are doing. In parting, i would like to advice everyone desiring to pursue a career in this industry, seat back and understand who you are first of all. Then decide what you want to do and figure out if you fit into it.There are many divisions /departments int this business. We must not all be in front of the camera, your strength or talent might be in discovering and making stars, know your strength, understand your unique selling point (USP) leverage on it an watch yourself excel. The John Casablancas Centre is a good training ground, for those who really know this is what they want to do.

This place started off alright, classmates were nice and some instructors were too, but what was not great was when I had to begin from class 3 when I never took class 1 and 2 and at the end of the course I had to retake those classes which almost made me not graduate. The classes were so unprofessional and I really didnt learn much for the amount of money my parents paid them each month. I was never guaranteed to get jobs. Review №52

I guarentee you, if you see a good review about John Casablanca, its from either one of two sources;1. Some naive aspiring talent blinded by huge stars in their eyes yet to discover what Im about to tell you;2. An employee or some otherwise affiliated person/entity deliberately attempting to water down the truth with phony reviews.Keep scrolling through these reviews and you will see every bad one mentions scam. THEY ARE A SCAM!!! Theyre TREMENDOUSLY adept at pulling the wool over the eyes of ignorant parents and young adults seeking employment as an actor and/or model. They parade around as being some top notch acting and modelling school when in reality theyre just a huge, cash grabbing, insideous corporation. I paid $70 dollars a class, theyre CHEAPEST option, for two months every week before I realized the truth. What made me realize such? Pay close attention; The teachers were so inept it seemed as if some of them were hired off the street. Theyll tell you no good agent will ask you for money, yet turn around and do exactly that. Theyll tell you its bc they themselves are investing copious amounts of money, (literally thousands) but they arent. Cut and dry. My experience wasnt worth even half of what I paid out of pocket, much less what they claim to pay. When you first audition it will seem exquisitely legitimate. They go the whole nine. Theyll even tell 1/2 of the auditioning talent that they didnt make the cut. (If your name isnt called, you didnt make it) I later found out they call these people right back behind the scenes to give them a second chance.L. M. F. A. O.In hindsight, the whole auditioning process served no other purpose but to not only give you, but also the agency itself a sense of legitimacy. To solidify the illusion. Remember, most of these good reviews are from people who havent noticed the truth. JC knows that starlust is blinding, and they take full advantage of it/you. When you eventually see youre getting nowhere with these people they will tell you to hang in there, that it doesnt happen overnight, blah blah blah. Its an attempt to squeeze out a few more drops of your time and money before you attempt to break contract. (yes, theres a contract. Yes, you have to pay for breaking it. Its a scam, I mean, of course you have to sign a contract.) When you do inevitably break contract, theyll tell you to write a letter to their hq to void you having to pay off the rest of your contract. A hand written letter is just that. It in no way voids a legally binding contract. They know this which is why they want you to mail it to their hq in Missouri. Mine never arrived obviously. No ones does I expect.Allow the optimism of the reviews you see here from innocent, ignorant people give you a sense of just how thouroghly they are brainwashed. Let it be a testament to the lengths these animals go to to create a reality that doesnt really exist. I myself am a person of intellect, and they got me good, Im ashamed to admit. For TWO WHOLE MONTHS. So I cannot imagine how long some of these poor people have been taken advantage of. Ask yourself, if JC was as industry pervading, top notch and well known as they claim to be, then why have you not heard of them until now? Why isnt anyone in the industry talking about them? If you still decide to give them your money, please do me a favor and ask them the single question I wish I would have when I first arrived; What the hell are we auditioning for? To learn how to act and model? If this is a school, if I dont know HOW to act or model, arent you supposed to teach me? If so, then why am I auditioning in the first place at the prospect of being denied entry if Im cut? How is that fair? Heres the answer; Its about the money, not about you. But if they dont sell the dream, the fact that youre paying money becomes much more noticeable. If youre direct with your suspicions and dont allow them to give you vague, inconclusive answers, I guarantee you they will ask you to leave. Di, I hope youre reading this. Karmas a bit**.

JC is a complete and total scam. Yes, they will tell you how much everything is before you sign the papers, but what they dont tell you is that they accept everybody. I was called in for an audition at 6-7pm one night and sat in a room with about 40 other people. All they had us do was walk the runway and evaluated our talent off of that. The next day, everyone was called back and they were ready to sit down with you to sign up. I was told I had to start classes the very next day. They also told you on the very first day of class that as soon as you finished the program you were able to sign with the agency - NOT TRUE! It was not until the VERY LAST DAY of graduation that I was told I had to pay in FULL in order to sign with one of the agents. They lie to get you in, make it sound great and then tell you at the last second you have to pay to get signed with their agents - TOTAL SCAM. Worst $2000 I have ever spent in my life. I was the first one out of the (chosen) ones to do a monologue and be chosen to continue for acting classes. They never asked for 2000$ it was simple 370.00 all together and 72.00 a week for classes. Im only in classes for about a month. Thats not bad. I explained to them my financial position and they understood whole heartidly. John Casablancas is my first stepping stone to working for what i want. Thank you!

I got nothing but good things to say about his place. I learned a lot,I booked worked and had virtually no issues. Isnt it funny in life when you actually learn things, work hard and finish what you start, how you can have success in whatever. Thanks John Casablancas, Ive got you alls back!

To the folks at John Casablancas, thank you. My training with you certainly paid off in helping me get started in the modeling and acting industry. Modeling has been a lifetime dream that I thought would never happen. I submitted my request on-line for the opportunity to model and act and two companies responded right away. One of them did not have a website so I did not keep my appointment with them. But John Casablancas did and I was soon on my way. They sent me through a host of classes—modeling, make-up, monologues, photo shoots, etc—all of which are essential to getting jobs. I had a chance to participate in the 2014 Expo in Dallas, TX. Because of what I learned at John Casablancas, in my age group, I received first place in photography, 1st place in run-way and 1st place in sportswear. I also received call backs from three agencies and just signed with CLICK Models.I’ve noticed on the web that some people think that John Casablancas is a scam. Many people don’t realize that John Casablancas is not an agency, but a school. Their agency is Modeling and Talent Management (MTM); and yes, there is a fee for the school. Who goes to school free these days? After going through the classes, and after passing the exam and graduating, you are usually invited to sign with MTM who serves as your mother agent. I was invited to sign with them and was hired for a job the very next day. John Casablancas takes pride in training their people for presentation. Even though I have signed with another agency, I can still go back to John Casablancas to receive more instruction for three more years without paying a dime. So, if you are like me—just getting started in the business, John Casablancas is the WAY TO GO!!!.

I am sorry, but people annoy me. This place is GREAT. . I saw that somebody on here who wrote a nasty review was actually in my sessions. I will not name names, but this person was always so negative and distracting in our workshops. Ironically, the staff helped this person book work as pictures were posted all over the agency with this person on the job site, I was jealous. Moving on, I am writing this which I almost never do cause my opionion is just one opinon but I want to defend them and let people know that they are really REALLY good people. I started focusing more on music, but there were tons of opportunities at John Casablanca Dunwoody I just did not take advantage of it, becasue I fell in love with music. If you have horrible doubts then do not do it, but if you are on the fence or want to do it, I assure you it is really awesome and that you would be in good hands. Do not listen to the dooms dayers with all of their negative craziness lol

Scam. They took our money and never called us back. passed our account on to a billing agency and made us deal with them. Everytime we tried to get intro from JC they said our info was deleted and passed onto the billing agency. Took my daughter to one class and it cost me 480$ in scummy business BS.

I went to john casablancas,( which by the way isnt where it says on here, that building is torn down) I paid 2000 dollars and they told me that they could sell me and like a person said I was hooked. First of all Derrick was the so-called manager, he was a little shady to begin with and went missing when I was going on with the classes. I finished the classes and have not had one call or anything since I left that place. I got SCAMMED. JOHN CASABLANCAS IS A SCAM!!!
