Both my daughters attend this school, and have been able to set a solid foundation in piano (with Aleksandra) and have progressed well over the past 2 years. They have each been able to select a focus instrument (violin and voice) and are receiving a world class musical education. Their lessons are tailored to their individual style and are challenging but fun. Especially if your child shows interest and natural ability with music, I highly recommend this school to help shape a child’s musical foundation and cultivate a love for music.

This school is one of the best investments weve made for our daughters, ages 5 and 7. They have been taking private piano lessons here since each of them were just 3.5, and were so pleased at all theyre learning at such young ages in just a couple short years. Their teacher is extremely skilled and gifted with young children and is teaching them things like critical thinking and relaxation techniques, confidence and composure, in addition to playing the piano with beautiful technique and tone. We enjoy the school so much that weve also enrolled in a mommy-and-me music class for our 10-mo. old, as well, and chess lessons for the older two. Highly recommend this school to anyone.

I first took music lessons at the European School of Music as a child, and I cannot highlight enough the high caliber of instruction here. I feel that those lessons, from an early age, not only influenced me to become a music lover as I grew up, but it also helped to develop my critical thinking and focus, and I believe this ultimately influenced me achieving a high SAT score of 1530 (besides ESM, I was homeschooled all my life). It may also have inspired my interest in hiking and nature photography, since the school strongly emphasized the connection between music compositions and nature, thus developing my imagination and creativity. Now at college, I am double majoring in neuroscience and environmental studies, but I wanted to continue my music education because it is important to me. I decided to start voice lessons because singing helps to relieve academic stress, and I figured I could practice breathing techniques while hiking and sing atop mountains. However, I was left deeply disappointed seeing how much poorer the level of private voice instruction was at college. The college voice teacher didnt work on breathing at all and was only interested in exercising my tone recognition for weeks on end, despite telling me that was my tone recognition was fine. So I stopped those lessons, and I decided to restart voice lessons this summer at the European School of Music. The ESM teaching methodology is starkly different; the teachers here actually explain techniques and guide students in a way that allows them to understand what needs to be done to sing or play music instruments beautifully.Having realized the vast difference between the college voice instructor and Nick at ESM, I plan to keep taking voice lessons at ESM this fall online while at college out-of-state. My teacher is very patient, fun to be with, and has explained to me step by step the mechanisms of diaphragm breathing and body relaxation, which are vital for singing the right way. During my lessons with him, I discovered I can sing much higher and lower notes (very large range) than I could’ve ever imagined, without hoarseness or tensing vocal cords. I believe that anyone stands to benefit from taking voice lessons at the European School of Music, whether you’d like to sing professionally or sing classical or popular music for your own pleasure. I think the lessons would be beneficial even if you just wish to improve oxygen flow to the brain in order to improve learning abilities, or to help your lungs work better.

My 2 sons attend this school for piano and chess. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ms. Rosie, the piano teacher, and Carlos the chess teacher. Both amazingly patient with 2 young boys. Rosie - has been able to motivate the boys to enjoy piano and now they are practicing at home. Exactly what we were looking for and would highly recommend.

Im an adult whos always had a dream of playing piano. Carlos, my teacher, is helping me fulfill that dream. Ive attended this school for over a year now and absolutely love it. The owner, Angela, is such a sweet person. After speaking with her for the first time, I could tell this school was going to be a great fit for me. Angela was very encouraging and pretty much made me feel like the skys the limit. Carlos encourages me and has a lot of patience. I feel so confident after every lesson. The saying, Youre never too old to start is so true! Thank you ESM!

My son, Daniel started with this school when he was 5 and stayed with it until he graduated high school. He was active in other areas but learning to play was very important to him. He had a great teacher and everyone there was so supportive. I have said this to everyone...It was the greatest gift I could give him. They have a different was of teaching and we all learned to appreciate classical music. I highly recommend this school. MC

I enrolled my son to European School of Music. We took a trial lesson for Piano with Carlos. He is so patient with kids and knows the right way to teach them. We are very happy to meet a passionate teacher like him. Also, the founder of the School, Angela is very sweet and helpful!

My daughter has taken voice and piano lessons with Ginger Knowles since she was 5. This music school provides a warm, safe, and nurturing place to learn to love music and fosters an appreciation for the process of learning while still making it fun! The lessons have been one of the highlights in my daughters life every week!

The best music school I have ever attended. I have had many piano teachers but this school is , by far, the best. It has given me the skills and confidence to make music a major part of my relaxation and a source of income.

The school is too notch but they are absolutely the worst in terms of communication. My son tried them from a groupon, which they wouldnt honor and then stopped taking my phone calls. Even after I referred a friend, I could never reach anyone. They return messages days later, and heaven help you if you’re not available when they do bc weeks will go by playing tag. They have the music skills but the business sense is severely lacking.
