Teachers are great. Facilities are great. Technology is great. This is a fine, fine, superfine place to send your kid for childcare.

We have had both of our boys enrolled in Goddard Vinings since they were babies. The office staff is so friendly and accommodating. We have had a wonderful experience and so have all the other parents we have gotten to know over the last five years. The teachers have been energetic and caring. Our boys are thriving and love learning from their years at Goddard. Many of these past google reviews are either fake or written by psychotic people. Im glad their kids dont go to our school.

My 2 year old son has been at Goddard for nearly a year now and I cannot say enough good things about his time there. The class sizes are smaller than his previous school and there are less teachers swapping in and out of classrooms (also the result of COVID protocols). We get videos and photos of our child interacting, learning, and playing throughout the day and a summary of his day (including meals, potty breaks, and nap duration) at the end of the day. The school has been transparent about their COVID strategy and (as a public health professional) I completely agree with their protocols. They have even managed to do some events (such as Easter egg hunts and Trunk or Treat) while maintaining proper protocol for COVID. Its clear that they care about the kids and the families and want the community to thrive. Our son loves going here!

Since the new ownership has taken over the school has a different positive atmosphere. My son is extremely happy there and loves going there. He has learned so much and been able to retain it. He loves yoga, chess, and sign language. Great location in a safe area. Mrs. Carla in the office is always polite and wants the best for your child. Evin is the new owner who always has a smile on her face and knows your child personally.

Teachers and staff are all extremely nice & professional. The teachers love & care about the kids, and the kids love them in return. Management clearly has an interest in ongoing education and training. Awesome experience.

My son has been going to Goddard Smyrna Location Infant room since 3 months now. As a first time mom i was extremely worried of sending him to day care so early (he was 3 months when we started him). But after taking tour of Goddard, i knew my son would be safe n happy here and i am glad i made the right choice. Its an excellent school, teachers are loving and caring. End of each day you get a detailed summary of your childs activities for that day including his feed, diapers etc. Staff is extremely helpful too. Owner is a very sweet lady & I am very pleased with my decision of sending him to Goddard.

I scheduled an appointment ten days ago for a tour and had no issues at that time. Well, today was tour day and I was just called by The Goddard School (a mere 3 hours before the scheduled appointment) because they had to cancel for an unspecified reason. They presumed I could make it back two days later, but I informed them that I had prior engagements. Upon that response, the woman I was speaking with became very snobby, rude, and condescending in her tone. She reluctantly quoted me a rate and informed me that enrolling my child 11 months from now was a hit or miss proposition.Needless to say, were writing this place off. Their holier than thou attitude is disgusting. If Im doling out another mortgage payment for my childs care, Id rather give it to a place that has the decency to treat potential customers with a little respect. And contrary to what The Goddard School might think, there are nearby alternatives that are every bit as good. Were signing up with one next week for much less $$$ and after the director spent 2 hours with me answering every question under the sun, we are thrilled to be enrolling our child. Good riddance, Goddard!

Considered enrolling my son here because its so close to where I work. Drove past and see a playground full of kids being supervised by an employee in a cute sponge Bob hat.. Texting away on her phone. Great supervision. No thank you.

We have loved our time at The Goddard School Vinings! After moving from Chicago in July, we visited a few schools in the area, and ultimately felt the most comfortable at this location. The new ownership is committed and involved, the administrative staff is friendly, informed and helpful, and the teachers are outstanding. Kind, respectful, engaged, dedicated, patient, well-trained, outgoing and conversational - all of these attributes are what I want in the people interacting with my toddler every day. The teachers (and weve been in 2 classes already because my daughter transitioned to the next level up) have all been (without exception) incredibly good with the kids - from both an educational and an emotional/care perspective. Our daughters skills and learning and sociability and personality have all skyrocketed since she started here, and I attribute much of that to the rigorous play education that The Goddard School employs. I have great conversations with the teachers before and after school each day, and they truly know and love our daughter. They ask great questions, they answer mine, the have input and suggestions (helpful for a first-time mom!) and are guiding me along in this process. For the value (and its not cheap, but that was not our desire), the quality of care is outstanding. We utilize the organic food catering company, and yet are pleased with the snacks the school offers. If you are reading old reviews - rethink and revisit - the school is really an incredible place to be. My daughter and any future kids will be here as long as were in the area. Thanks, TGS!

This school is horrible! My son went here about 4 yrs ago when it first opened. It was a brand new school so teachers were decent back then. After a year mark good teachers started leaving and there were various concerns that I brought up to the Owner. She completely dismissed me and made me feel that I was in the wrong instead. I told her reg other schools and the way they were doing things, to which she told me that other schools just put up a show when you visit. Seriously? That was my cue to get my son outta there.

I was looking for full time day care facility for my 22 month old son in Vinings area. At that time Goddard was suggested by one of my friend. On the first visit itself we were very much impressed with the quality Goddard offered. Classrooms were very clean and Teachers were very friendly. Children were looked upon with utmost care. My son really enjoyed his stay over there and he didnt get sick often as this is the case with other day cares. I would definitely recommend this school if you are looking for a day care around Vinings area.

Very different day care than other good day cares. My daughter started here in Oct 2014 and spent around 10 months here. This day care has so many problems. Even the owner was not able to keep up with this day care and sold to someone else. You can imagine that how bad this day care is. Let me highlight some of the problems we faced in 10 months -1. They are heavily under staffed. They dont have sufficient admin staff and teachers. I have never seen floaters in the class room. They say that they have floaters to help during activities but their floaters are assistant teachers in some other classes.2. They dont follow any criteria for lead and assistant teacher. In my daughters class, the lead teacher quit and they promoted assistant to lead and brought some high school pass out as a assistant teacher. No education criteria for lead or assistant teacher.3. They dont have kitchen. The food comes from outside and very expensive. They dont provide any late evening snacks to kids. Most of the parents provide lunches and the school has only one refrigerator to keep all the lunch box. So, be ready to spend some time to figure out the space for your lunch box.4. You need to provide bed sheets, comforter and almost everything to them. They dont care if the kids has any food allergy and most of the kids eat from other plates which may cause problems to kids if they have allergies.5. The school closes at 6 PM as compared to other day cares which mostly closed at 6:30 PM.6. The one things i hate about this day care is the constant turn over of staff and they always have temporary staff to assist kids.7. In past 10 months no one has ever gave any feedback about the Kids.8. They are very money minded. I have not seen them celebrating Fathers day, Mothers day and they do not celebrate Christmas too. They just do not want to spend any money and in June they did hike the tuition fees which make no sense to me.9. I did not see even a single teacher as CPA certified. The biggest problem i see in this day care is the staff. No matter how hot or cold it is, your kid will be in play area for 45 minutes so that teacher can chat with each other. Very bad. Please make sure you talk to other parents before you send your kid to this day care.Have a nice day!

I have been waiting months to write this review as my wife and I wanted to find a new daycare for my child first. I want to explain that I am not just a disgruntled parent and I beg prospective parents to consider my review. When I was researching daycares, I dismissed the negative reviews and deeply regret it.There are good teachers at this school, and the problem doesn’t involve the teachers whatsoever, the problem with this school is the administration, more so, the Owner. The owner lacks any sense of professionalism and shows no respect to parents with concerns or criticisms of her business. This became evident when the owner contacted my wife and said “at some point the customer stops being right, and I’m tired of trying to make you happy.” This comment lead to us giving the school a “4 out of 10” on the Corporate Survey that was sent out to the parents regarding the likelihood of recommending this school to friends and family. The day after we sent the survey in, we were asked by the owner to find a new childcare provider for our son. When my wife confronted the owner about this and asked what rules we had broken, she said “it’s not a feel good situation; you didn’t break any rules” and that it was her business and she had the right to dismiss us.I think it’s helpful to point out the situations we experienced during our 1 year tenure at this school: 1) Classrooms are consistently out of ratio (both their advertized and Georgia State Law ratios); 2) the owner will share parent complaints with teachers, even if it doesn’t regard them; 3) Director, Assistant Director, and over 7 of our child’s teachers abruptly left (or were fired) during our time here; and 4) emails from the administration are last minute, unprofessional, unclear, and demanding.Trust me parents – do not waste your time, energy, or money considering this school. Please visit the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL)’s website for reports from their surprise visits and complaint investigations at this school.

Had a very difficult time while our daughter attended this school. Lots of different teachers in her class so that became a huge red flag. Goddard supposedly has a great reputation but the Smyrna Goddard is not upholding their end of the bargain. The owner is very difficult and has caused many families including ours to go elsewhere. I hope I can save your family some time and heartache. There are plenty of other options so look elsewhere before sending your kids here.

My son graduated from The Goddard School in Vinings this year. We love everyone at this school, because they genuinely care about your child, it feels like family. Each teacher gives the attention and love that your little one deserves. My son made many new friends, and learned so much. When he got tested for Kindergarten, they said he was really smart, and I attribute that to the wonderful teachers and staff at Goddard Vinings! I am confident my son will do well in his new school because of the excellent start Goddard School Vinings has given him!
