I have been taking lessons from Chris B. who is an amazing and patient instructor. He has been flexible with my busy schedule, understanding with unexpected events (eg. Covid), and extremely professional with regards to myself and my family. I HIGHLY recommend this place, ALL the instructors are good people and the general environment is very easy to work with! I shopped around for a helicopter school and Sierra was the perfect fit. Auburn is the perfect place for a student to learn and get beautiful views at the same time. Every time I show up for a lesson I am greeted with smiles and positivity. I have flown with multiple CFIs and each are very knowledgeable and competent pilots. I learn so much from them every time I fly. I know I will be well prepared for my check ride.

Ive been working towards my private license with Sierra Air for several months and cant say enough good things about them. Chris is my instructor and hes been an amazing teacher. He finds different ways to explain things if you dont understand them, is patient, an excellent pilot and he makes it so fun!Sierra air has several helicopters and multiple instructors so its easy to book time to fly and they work with your schedule. Plus the location is great- the canyon is near by to fly in and is beautiful and the weather in Auburn typically cooperates.

I have been doing my flight training with Sierra Air since July 2020. It’s an awesome operation with great pilots! I love flying in this area, it is beyond beautiful and to do it by helicopter is even better! Would highly recommend taking an intro flight or a tour with Sierra air!
